Really excited about that Dodge build! I built that when it was lindburg, I believe. Had a wrecked Ford (40's) on the bed. Anyway, I really agree with you on the lift truck!!! They issue all these trucks and trailers, but no dock equipment?? A pallet jack would have also been a deal sealer for me to purchase this! Happy New Year, Chris! Thanks for all you do for the hobby!!!
Sure wish someone would 3D print a corrected grille (real deal is stamped, not flat) as shown at 5:58. Only seen one done in PE but unfortunately just as flat as kit part. Thanks for the review Chris, looking forward to the race team build.
Just finishing this kit. For those who find the instructions to this kit a bit unclear, Chris's video for AMT 1/25 Ford C600 City Delivery Scale Model Kit Build Review AMT1139 is a very similar build (box, chassis, engine, and most of the cab). Really helps for things like the placement of the rear lights, etc.
I loved your reference to AMT instructions being a bit unclear. Grew up building AMT truck models in the 70's, unclear nails it on the head. The vague arrows pointing to a position on the opposite side of the frame, which is not shown always made me cringe, and still do. I must be a glutton of punishment, I have about 10 of these old truck models, in the to build pile.
I think the sprue map on the back of the box and some aspects of the way this kit is molded will make it a bit easier to build than the C600 - that was a lot of hassle for me the first time I built it because I found the instructions a bit vague and it was my first non-curbside truck, but in the end it came out really nice. I know the Dodge is an old Lindberg kit with a million and one variants, but it'll be nice to see what changes have been made, and I don't think I've ever seen a build video of one.
I’m in the middle of building the race car hauler, and mines got a bunch of flash. I’m glad to see that they got rid of it! (Finally) I typically build race cars, so trucks don’t mean that much to me, but I’ve been looking for haulers, and trailers lately. But , like I said. I’m working on the hauler version of this truck, and I’ve considered, throwing it back in the box, a few times now. I’m always thinking about how I’m overwhelmed with all the race cars sitting in boxes, in my collection, and how much I wanna build them all. I just thought that I needed a break from just building race cars. But i chose to do this, and I’m gonna finish this! I gotta tell ya, that I built this model ( the hauler) when I was eight years old, back in the seventies, but , this time, it’s been a little more difficult. I don’t ever remember how involved this kit was to build. I’m trying to use my experience, to make it even better than last time. I’m sure it’ll come out better, but, Wow!, what a struggle it has been. Happy New Year to you! And I wanna thank you for all the great videos you do!!! I’m looking forward to seeing more of your videos, cause they keep me inspired!
I understand what you're saying about building a hauler to hold a big collection of racing cars. I recently built a car transporter kit because I was running out of display space for my cars.
I love the Louisville Line of Ford trucks, but I'll enjoy the Dodge kit assembly too. I have an earlier version of Lindberg's Dodge, not built, and when you do your Round Two kit I'll be able to anticipate some possible sticking points I might run into. My collection has a few Ford C-Series trucks, so it will be nice to see you build that Dodge for comparison. Small point of correction, Chris. The company that made the cargo van body (and also truck trailers) is Trailmobile, as in automobile, not Trail-MOBIL as in the gasoline brand's name. My family's trucking company used a lot of Trailmobile and Fruehauf equipment. Trailmobile started out as a side product of the Pullman railroad car company.
Nice unboxing! The decals make a this one special. Your recording is malfunctioning, at times your audio speeds up like a disclaimer on a lone commercial. Unless it was intentional. Happy New Year Chris!
@@hpiguy Chris, I’m very sorry I just watched the whole video again with no issues. Unless you fixed it or I’m losing my mind. Probably the last one. Thanks
Awesome love this build of a Ford Louisville with Cat diesel
Thanks for showing this - I agree with you, I like the Morton Salt girl decal.
On my to get list!! 👍👍
AMT did put out a Coke truck many years ago out of the same model

Very nice looking kit ,thanks for sharing 👌
Happy New Year 👍👍👍👍
Very nice video. It will be a great model, like the operating door and tailgate. Keep up the great work and have a nice day.
I don't think they ever made a model of a Plymouth Trail Duster I think they should would be nice
Nice unboxing. It looks like a very nice kit. Happy New Year to you and yours!!!!! Thanks for sharing.
Happy New Year Cool review Thanks I`m going to order both kits the car hauler and the Morton salt hauler

Nice kit, Chris. It's too bad I can't build it, my doctor said to cut down on salt.
Round Two has salt-free versions of the Louisville Line just for guys in that situation! 😉
Do you know if there is any alternate decals from a 2nd party that are available?
It would be nice to see what other options are out there!

Cut the edges bout one inch then
I used two pieces of 1/2" nylon strips glued bout 5/8 from the edges. Finish cutting the panels through.
Good looking kit, but I have built the snowplow so that will be enough for me.

If you can tell me at what time the audio issue happens I'll check it out. Thanks

I have never built a big semi truck or Rig which one would you recommend for the 1st big truck build
What do you do to make decals go on easily
😂 14:10 I know "that guy." Enjoy the seat buddy.
You may love the dodge, you may hate it. I have a love hate relationship with the dodges. But I'm on #4
I have been stripping most of the chrome off these truck kits. Real work trucks have nearly no chrome.
Nice 😅
Same kit , different decals
How’s that different than what’s stated in the video?
The hostess is with a different cab
