    I religiously watch your content, love it! I just got a 5045 myself, talk about a magic box. That Midas set up in front of yours is from Josh Sobeck! I worked with him at Bottom Lounge, one of my house gigs. Cheers from Chicago!

      @@RattlinBonesClub Have you ever compared them to the builtin PSE in the dLive?

    • @RattlinBonesClub
      @RattlinBonesClub  Месяц назад

      @@prospekt1909 Yeah i used to use the built in one, and they are great. But the actual unit just seems to be so much smoother on the opening and actually allows me to reduce the signal more without it catching any of the softer words.

    It's good to see you again on tour and festivals..
    In these two festivals you had the FOH on one side, not in the center....
    how do you handle that?
    We are looking forward to the next video.

      Yep same line up each day, slight differences on the stage set ups but nothing crazy and mostly they are very similar. Always great festivals to be apart of and the team there is awesome

    It was a great show. Your video is great. I have one question. How do you connect the festival's main speaker system to the guest team's console?

    • @RattlinBonesClub
      @RattlinBonesClub  Месяц назад +1

      Usually left, right, sub and sometimes infills. Then the system tech routes them to the correct speaker outputs.
      The outputs will go into the festivals setup that can route multiple I/O, this could be a computer with some lakes or something similar or a console routing the guests consoles via direct outs/matrices

  • @longhairedguy296
    @longhairedguy296 Месяц назад

    Most consoles connect to stage boxes via cat5, correct? Are these typically in place at festivals and shared by multiple bands or do you have to run your own out?

    Alright I’ve heard that glorious snare verb too much that I have to ask. What verb are you using in the console?

    • @RattlinBonesClub
      @RattlinBonesClub  Месяц назад

      It’s a hall verb at around 3.5 decay, and some eq on the fx return

  • @jtsotherone

    Loving these videos! How many outputs generally go from FOH to the actual system? Do you choose what goes where or does the festival system tech do it? Thanks!

    Please tell me how you fly with the console? Are you checking it in as luggage? And if so, aren’t you afraid that it will be damaged during loading/unloading, because airport workers really like to play football with such things((

    • @RattlinBonesClub
      @RattlinBonesClub  Месяц назад +1

      Checked in as standard luggage. Sometimes some airlines will charge more for oversized or overweight cases. You can’t fly with any case over 32kg max

    Are you using a different snare with separate effect chain for the snare hits or do you pull in the delay just in time (either manually or timecoded)?

    • @RattlinBonesClub
      @RattlinBonesClub  Месяц назад

      The effect is a large hall verb that I turn the return of the fx channel upto +10 to make then drop it down to -10 for regular hits

  • @TinoSchulz1990
    @TinoSchulz1990 Месяц назад +1

    I know there's not much time to soundcheck at festivals. (if any). But how do you mix for front fill speakers?
    Or do you just L+R only for those gigs and let the system's engineer figure out the appropiate balance between front fill and main hang?
    Also: Are you happy with that USB-C monitor? Looking to get one via your link

    • @RattlinBonesClub
      @RattlinBonesClub  Месяц назад

      Yeah my fill-send is just a matrix from my main LR. I send that at zero and trust the system tech has done a good job!

      I'm gonna get that monitor. Been looking for a slim profile monitor for your stagerack MacMini that handles backingtracks, multitrack recording and frequency coordination. Maybe i'll even get two.
