- The story of Jessica and Aric's engagement after a deployment with 3rd Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment to Afghanistan. The new couple's engagement was caught at the homecoming at the Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center.
They are still married...two beautiful girls later and Staff Sgt Lonchar is still serving his country...This mom is blessed to have him and Jess and those two beautiful girls...a special thank you to all who serve and have served....
He is Blessed with her and their children, as well.

Oh that's some funny shit. I saw that 4 times in one day. All the girls were with these kids for less than 7 months, they get out of graduation ceremony and ask a little girl to get married. Only 1 is still married. That was 1978. Lmao

I'm just a former firefighter, but seeing happiness for those who give all they have for me, well, I get emotional too. I'm now "getting old," so I doubt I'll ever propose, I'll leave it to the young bucks. Semper Fi Marine, and God Bless!

Thank you...hes a Gunnery Sgt. now and they are overseas doing Embassy duty....3 kids..thank you for your support. They were very young then...they have grown well together. God is good

They are a very cute Marine couple! Having served in the corps for 22 years, retired but still a Marine. I love it when my brothers are happy and I cry a little when they are sad! I hope they grow old together!

This is MY brother and his NOW wife!!! If ANYONE has anything they'd like to say about them please just let me know especially if it's anything ill towards them.....We'll show you exactly what Marines are made of!!! I love you Aric and Jess!! Many more blessed years!!! Couldn't of asked for better people to help serve our country and now my brother is making Marines as a Drill Instructor. People that say ill things are only jealous because they have no life!!!

The GED has not been accepted for the Marines as far back as I can remember. I enlisted in 1987, and even then you had to have a full high school diploma to enlist. No GED accepted.

there is usually an unspoken agreement for everyone to look the other way when a solider or sailor that just returned from deployment. PDA against regulation unless you have been away for a long time. Besides do you really want to get between a marine and his loved ones after he's been gone for up to 6 months? doesn't sound like a wise idea lol.

I spent 2yrs with 3/4 I Co., but I left that battalion to join 2/7 since I did not want to extend my contract.

It is real nice of them to let you keep them since they don't issue them unless you are on a special duty detail. The Dress Blues are one of the only uniforms you have to pay out of pocket for. However, I will say they are worth every penny and I will keep mine forever.

Marines, as far as I have learned, are the only military force that allows their personnel who have not retired to still wear their dress uniform after service.
