It blows my mind that there’s people out there that think JP is some sort of villain.
The hivemind is real and gets its collective opinion from a few curated sources.
The curators are usually found in the mainstream media.
They’re the Crazy ones.
It shows how influenced we can be about someone when we don’t know them and someone we “trust” has an opinion, usually from someone else they “trust”
So harmful to take an uneducated view as true.

Nearly 40 and still don't know to which port I would like to sail, so I just survive the rough seas the best I can, never advancing anywhere.
Something my stepfather once told me. "A ship with no wind has no power". I don't think it matters much if you know where you are headed, just so long as you have a direction you are pushing in.
@@00yiggdrasill00 While I agree with your stepfather's wisdom, it does indeed matter where you are headed, as an incompetent navigator with no ability to set a precise destination can easily sail in circles while believing they are making progress. The seas are too vast to believe pushing forward alone will get you where you need to go.

Same. I came to realize that my strengths and disposition leans to troubleshooting and customer service. As such, I had to lean into a career that is more reactive than proactive. But accepting that has helped me be more successful.

You could have used a mountain in your example as it created the same message. A staircase, however, is much more restrictive; once on A staircases there isn't an alternate path or really alternate ways to move along the path - you can stay where you are, move forward or regress. I'm sure you see where I'm going with this. How does someone chose which staircase to climb?

I have done that when it came to Atlanta once. I was the first one outside the building 6 hours before the show. Seeing him was awesome as he changed my life, and I told him that.

I am loathed to be among those who desire that you abbreviate your wisdom, and conform to those modern mores which cater the those who cannot commit the time needed to your insights, but please, give us more of these brief videos!
I am a busy man, with children and a considerable docket of work and community involvement on my plate and simply don’t have the time to view videos that are an hour or more in length on a consistent basis, but I love your insights and would appreciate more of them on a more absorbable basis.

You could always watch the longer videos for shorter periods of time - or do what I do and save them in your "watch later", where you can listen in periodic increments until finished.
There are literally thousands of these shortened versions of his talks lol
Or simply listen through your favourite podcast platform instead of watching what are mostly just people say talking, you might miss some of the emotion and gesticulating which could infer passion etc but rarely is anything shown onscreen that you would not get in the podcast.

I like the docs notion about the youth. The have that energy and "spark" before the learning curve gets overcome. 12 years ago I thought about grad school, nowadays no more. There is that age in life which is "best" (lol Dr.) for a new career, study, or skill. Too late for me to play guitar for example

I grew up with a single mother, who was an alcoholic and benzodiazepin addict. Listening to this makes me think about how great things could have been growing up with someone who actually cared.
How can someone who's never been loved show you something that they were never shown?

@phantorang It doesn’t necessarily mean that your mother didn’t care. She was too absorbed by other problems, fighting her demons to be able to show care and love for you. These feelings could have been buried under a load of dark feelings based on dark experiences she may have never been able to deal with.

They can. They do. My husband shows in abundance what was denied him for over half of his 80 year life. He worked on doing better than his family and community had given him and is a wonderful husband and stepdad/grandpa.
Please tell God he cares and listens. I am not just a believer, but I physically know that he’s real.
"You can't absorb too much change at once." To an extent, I think you can, but you have to make all the change all you do for 6+ weeks; military does it every day to new recruits. (3:00)
That's the exception that proves the rule. Boot camp is essentially 16 hour days, 7 days a week... If boot camp was instead an 8 hour a day / 5 day a week deal like an on the job apprenticeship, you'd be looking at 20+ weeks, or about half a year. If boot camp were a college course, you'd be looking at a full year of education.
It's true that bootcamp introduces a lot of changes very quickly, but it does so at great cost. The chance to drop literally everything and focus on a single goal all day, every day, for multiple months, are not opportunities that come often.
Thanks for the pencil work. Two ways peace to work peace treaty while country is on a shut down and only have essential work treated to new infrastructures or not believe the works and not play on anger. As was thinking and working on having a fundraiser… not yet; however, peace is demonstrated on your output of work. However… my knowledge grows with yours. I will write and work this growth out.

This explains really well what the push pull dynamic is good for.
Parents really need to work together and become allies if the family task is to succeed. Anytime any other "well meaning" person becomes involved, which they will, their words and advice need to be run through the other partner otherwise it becomes a hidden alliance, a conspiracy, and that will scew the dynamic in the relationship, as someone gets alienated.

You give wonderful lectures and I feel like I'm enraptured each time. I wonder though, given that lectures aren't as efficient as practical lessons, why aren't you developing something like that? The book and it's concepts are wonderful, but they feel empty without a direction or inkling to application. Teaching by application has always given me greater reward than lecture.

After 12years, a few months ago, my wife told me "we need an open relationship or to be separated." (Im not stoopid, i know what she said) and i told her i dont want anyone else so separated i guess. 2 nights ago, i enlightened her im crazy enough, not stoopid and know what she was saying. I told her since im not sedated anymore (the last 5 years, the VA has had me on a couple "anti-psycotics" and i can count on 1 hand how many times ive touched her since being on them. I stopped taking them this year (dec/jan) and now shes yelling at me to stop touching her sooo much. According to her, my affection has gone from a 1 to a 10 on a scale of 1-10... extremes. Yesterday, she send me a request on facebook to tell the world were no longer separated and infact married. And that thought is gone. That is happening so much now... i have no idea what i was talking about. I guess if you made it this far, im sure i had a point, who knows if i made it. Have a good day regardless. 😂

I've noticed my anger is back. I try and take a flight approach to it so I don't blow up ay others. It hasn't completely worked but I can't go back on those meds. It seriously felt like I was in a constant state of dreaming. Like when your alarm goes off in the morning, you get up and get ready to go. As you are walking out the door to start you day, your alarm goes off again and you are waking up in bed. You just did everything. You know you did but clearly since you're still in bed, you didn't. Thats what it was like for 5 years and I had no idea until I got off the meds. I've noticed multiple times my memory is... lacking. I lose thought so easily and oh my gawd my vocabulary.... I lose a word mid thought and its so agitating and its like daily. I swear I never use to feel so inept. 😕 but I think with some learning and getting use to having emotions again, I think (more so hope) I'm in a better "health" position than I was... granted, looking back, that's a pretty low bar.

Good on you for getting your marriage back on track. Got what it’s worth, many years ago I felt like I was angry for no reason. I’d never been an angry person so I sought out a therapist. A friend recommended one and the journey began. She told me many men represented anger as an outlet for depression. I worked with her for a few years, until I didn’t really have anything else to talk about during sessions. It might not help you, but it’s good for thought.
@chris66b55 while I was in the military, I had many shrink because of deployments or training at different bases and what not. Over the years, I only found 1 shrink that said things that made sense (later, I would be told "oh no, you shouldn't have seen her, she's to low level for you." I disagreed and never saw her again. Thanks army) like how I was using anger to get my adrenaline fix. Anger is the quickest way to get your adrenaline pumping and she said she think im addicted to the feeling of adrenaline. I can't argue against that. It makes a lot of sense. That said, I've been told "survivors guilt" is a possible thing since my drinking buddy was in my airgaurd hatch when they got hit by an EFP (explosive fragmentation projectile) killing him. I dont think that's it because I have it compartmentalized in my head that it sucks but it was his shift. Not mine. I can't do the what if game. I will lose if I try so I don't play it.

So it's a risk to ask and get to a point weather it's to disagree or agree with your partner, and that's conversations that's tough to have than to not bring those tough conversations up and risk never being honest with them at all and have them accept you for not what your wanting them to accept at all.
