When i was employed by an HOA, i was cutting a large lawn when a car zoomed along the road and skidded to a halt on the lawn, driver left in a hurry. I didn't see who it was, but carefully stuck one of the "This Vehicle is Parked Against Regulations" stickers, carefully across the screen, they are very difficult to remove, thus rendering the vehicles undriveable, it take ages to remove them as they tear easily and leave opaque glue behind. Took photo, with camera issued for the purpose and went about my business. It turned out, no emergency, but it was the son of the HOA president, just "visiting", his girlfriend. So he got a right royal rollicking from his father and a £200 fine. Draconian means, but it cured the bad parking problems. (UK about 1980)
Lol Made that mistake (only) once in my much younger days when picking up a friend. Found a parking violation notice glued to my windshield with wallpaper paste. Lesson learned.
acctual hoa or is it a case where its something that is easier to understand when calling it a hoa lot of places have something people just call hoa but got a lot more restrictions on what they can do than the hoas in the us, but its easier to call them hoa since more people understand the reference because the amount of hoa stories from the us
@@baldrian22 Reference to "pounds" (£) in the commenter's post plus they said it was in the UK, where there are no such things as HOAs. The OP probably means a "Strata Title" company, which is similar in many respects but has far more limited powers, but used "HOA" because that's what USA people would understand.

The last story: the manager saying he should have banned her earlier implies this is not Karen’s first incident in this store alone. She had it coming!

see finally a karen actually getting prosecuted and jail time, see she had consequences unlike half the other stories whre people go no we dont want to press charges and she then doesnt learn anything because she once again gt away with it

@@Sparky0627 dont think the husband gets close to what karen did unless he was on probation for something else. regardless depending on his current career he might need to find a new one afther that
and karen might have problem finding work afther that and is realy lucky that dogo was able to continiu doing the work of a service animal if not it probably been a lot worse for them (specialy on the financial part, but also in regard of prison time since 5 years was the minimum on the charges and she got 6 years for what she did do
I assumed the Husband was going to be the good one, but the fact he threatened OP's parents made it clear he wasn't.
That first one is perfect! My employer does pizza parties on occasion and the only options will be cheese, pepperoni or sausage. I'll be honest, I never get basic pizza but sometimes plain cheese pizza just hits😊

Story 2 - Don't threaten people and prevent their movement for little shit like that. It's considered at best false imprisonment. It's not only a felony, but people can use up to deadly force to escape the situation. A car is a 2 ton steel battering ram. Even if you are right to call the police...a felony tends to outshine littering.
Have Karen charged with unlawful detainment, for standing behind your car.

Karen vs service dog story: Well, Karen will likely be out in 3 years with good behavior (if she's capable of such) or even sooner with prison overcrowding. Stay in touch with the prosecutor to find out when she's being released and file for a restraining order then. And the husband was idiotic enough to make a threat IN COURT?!? I imagine that floated about as well as an anvil with a small balloon attached with the judge. Idiots, the both of them.
karen is now looking at six years in prison and her husband threatening OP's parents in court what a karen couple they must be.

The last story, I'm glad that charges were pessed. I'm also glad that Karen got both a serious fine *UND* a serious prison sentence. As it's the *ONLY* way they will learn.
Hopefully the case was covered by the local news media. Und hopefully others will recognize themselves und reevaluate their behavior knowing now that such behavior will *NOT* be tolerated.
The Karen's husband was upset with the wrong person. He should have been upset with his wife.
Also, yes the management for the store should have kicked her out, banned und trespassed her a *LONG* time ago.
Having not done so should leave them open for a lawsuit.

Last story: Six years in prison for attacking a service dog? Where does that happen? However just it may sound in the story, in a very long lifetime I have never seen someone get that much time for less than manslaughter or armed robbery. Unless the woman had an extensive criminal record no judge would go that far.
It makes me wonder if the entire story is fabricated.
You can bet she was begging the DA for a plea deal. Probably got reductions for things like first time offender, etc.
animal abuse can carry a sentence of up to 10 years, and consider she stepped on the service animals tail and cause damage that is probably where most of the prison sentence came from.

It's very possible that the entire story was fake, but on the other hand the story says that the store manager said he "should have banned her earlier" which indicates that she could have a history of similar criminal behaviour which the judge took into consideration when deciding on sentencing.
