The 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L is Jeep's Much Needed All-New 3-Row Family SUV
HTML-код

- Since the death of the Commander, #Jeep has been missing the all-important 3-row family SUV from their lineup since 2010. For 2021, it returns in the form of an all-new #GrandCherokeeL. This new #JeepGrandCherokee is built off an entirely new Alfa Romeo platform with the most luxurious and spacious interior we've ever seen on a #GrandCherokee. A smaller two-row model is coming, but this new #JeepGrandCherokeeL will be doing battle with other mainstream offerings like the Kia Telluride, Honda Pilot, Toyota Highlander, and Ford Explorer.

Thank you, Kia & Hyundai for forcing all the other mainstream brands to step their game up! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
I agree! Hyundai made a splash in the automotive market.
lol you must be joking
@jamil Spot on! 👌👌👌
I hope you’re joking lol
@David Moore agreed!
The interior is such a “WOW”
It’s amazing to me that a known unreliable brand like fca can have a better interior and better tech than a Toyota
@@naveenthemachine having a better interior and tech than Toyota is not a difficult thing to accomplish.
@@naveenthemachine Toyota interiors are not attractive.
It looks like the wagoneer
@@naveenthemachine lol too bad Toyota interiors are mostly plastic tubs except for the top trims. And their tech is usually mediocre or worse (Lexus)
wow, i'm not jeep or dodge fan but this is outstanding. They're doing great work with their trucks and SUV's. this is amazing what they can do. GM needs to take note.
This is what gm thinks they are
They already took notes whit the new Escalade 👍🏽
New escalade/denali blows this shit out the water
@@Jcastro9444 so why can’t they bring it to their other products? Like a Chevy, which is more of Jeep’s competition? For this to be a non luxury suv shows that gm is lacking if they can’t put quality in their non luxury lineup
@@Jcastro9444 wait for the new Grand Wagoneer that’s going to be way better than the Escalade and Denali.
Jesus dude, how on earth are you able to rattle off all over those stats and specs without skipping a beat; especially considering all the different trim level options? Respect. ✊
I really wanna see the short wheel base, which is the real successor of the 4th gen. I'm impressed with the interior quality improvement over the 4th generation (which already was a huge improvement over the 3rd generation, specially in high trim levels).
Pushing the more expensive models just like the Hummer EV truck outshined the SUV

Soyfan does an amazing job presenting these videos. I enjoy redline videos bc your presentation & quality of information shows how passionate you are about what you do & about the car industry in general. Thank you!
I wanted to thank you for the very good reviews and test drives you have done. They have been very informative and give a lot insight into a great array of vehicles.
For the Grand Cherokee L, we have had one for a year now. It has been a great addition for a family that enjoys travel, towing a boat, moving a lot (lot) of furniture (antiques for refinishing), and using the four wheel drive and air ride suspension for cross country treks. With the price of fuel, we went with the 6 cylinder. It has been a good engine and the power and torque has been fine, even towing a 19 foot bay boat. The gas mileage has been very good for a large sized SUV. The 21 inch wheels and ground clearance are excellent.
Thank you for the introduction and review of this model. Jeep has made a real impression on their next generation of vehicles.
The two tone exterior and the wood addition in the interior 👌 very nice
Two tone looks great on this 👍
Love it! I recently became a Jeep (WJ) owner so I am a fan, especially with the changes they seem to be making, so would definitely look to get this in a couple of years
love the WJ. I feel like some of these interior details are inspired by the WJ like the steering wheel, door handles, woodgrain and the seats
What I like about Sofyan is his knowledge about the vehicles he reviews. You can tell he does his homework. He just flows on camera with the info. You can tell he's a car geek.....
For the price, I find it hard to complain. The looks inside and out definitely make it seem like it could be worth a lot more
If I ever need a 3 row SUV, this would be at the top of the list
I only pay attention to your reviews so I had to stop by and watch! WOW!
Saw it pop up on another RUclips reviewer and looked up your channels lol 😂
I've never been a jeep fan but that's one heck of a sweet interior. Good job Stellantis.
Let’s hope all fca products become better quality, especially Maserati
Don’t hold your breath hommie.
Nissan fanboys are saying the same thing about Renault.
Aren't they Stellantis now?
@@ronaldflamingo8711 honestly, my wallet doesn’t care who they are. 😉
Yea expecially Maserati, i'm very disappointed by the Ghibli🤢🤮
@@sharkpovreviews5963 basically a Chrysler 300 😭
Thank you for starting it up on camera unlike other RUclipsrs
Another fantastic review. Thank you for all your work
When my 2020 GC is ready to go, this is the one to get. With the hybrid system and around 400 hp.
This was a great video, Sofyan. It's good to see Jeep really competing. You have a great weekend.
Wow, I'm impressed!! Never been a Jeep fan but this looks nice.
Have just spent some time looking at the Grand Cherokee L, limited edition. The interior is really impressive and the overall body styling is really a welcome update for Jeep. For having a family and also needing a vehicle to tow the boat and to go on long road trips...this is really fitting the bill.
Great review. Can't wait to see the two row model.
Saw it at an auto show, loved it. Looks fantastic.
I've always wanted a Jeep Grand Cherokee and this is just "WOW" !! 😍
Good review… Can’t wait for the 2-row!
Great job Sofyan!!
Thumbs up for the reviewer and the Jeep !!!
Yep
I think this is the SUV I would buy if I had the money, the interior looks nice and it has the comfort features I need. I also think it has enough room for my family. Jeep has made a good job with vehicle. It's a great review!
really great review. well done.
Redline your reviews are so good. Please keep up the great work!
He looks great in shorts
Many years ago...my First SUV was a 2004 Grand Cherokee Limited 4.7L H.O. I got it used with 47,000 miles...Put 250,000miles on it and only issue i had over the years was the had to replace the Radiator, Rotors, and Power Steering pump.. was a Beast tho. Only reason i sold it was rust on side panels. Miss that SUV.
I've owned 2 Grand Cherokees and the only issue I've ever had is that there wasn't a 3 row one. Looks like I'm getting a 3rd one that interior is top notch .......Jeep you got me again
Great cover of vehicle. Very informative. You make a great review video. Keep it up.
Robs expression at 21:00 tells it all. Lol
Very good, comprehensive review.
Awesome review mate👏👏
Love it. Would love to see more of these 3-row SUVs with useful 3rd row seats. It’s crazy how even the startup chime has become part of a vehicles character. One minor complaint, I’m kinda disappointed they didn’t do the switchback LED tail lights like the Cherokee and Ram 1500 has. I really found that to be a cool touch where they flash red when braking and then switch to amber when the turn signal is activated.
That SRT8 tho!
Aaaah the comment I was looking for lol
I didn't realize they had recommissioned the T-1000. 😂 Just kidding. Great review as always! 👍 Thank you!
Lol this was good
nice and useful review ,thank you
I got Sofyan's Lincoln Aviator ad as the ad at the beginning of the video. This is the first time I have ever watched the add from beginning to end.
Can't wait to see the trailhawk
They’re killing it with this one!😍😍
I can't wait for a track hawk version of this car
I really love this SUV..
Got mine. Love it
Let’s play a drinking game. Take a shot every time Sofyan says summit reserve😂😂
Wow….that’s impressive….! Great looking interior and I like the looks of the outside.
3 row and such a beautiful interior a SUV for a family 👌👍
I’m waiting on the chargers and challengers to receive some love!Much needed interior and exterior update.
A massive step up from the current generation, now I am really looking forward to the grand wagoneer and hope Jeep improves build quality and reliability, then I will be very happy to back to the dealership
It is NOT a massive step up. It is a pretty modest tip toe up. Unless you’re comparing a shitty base Laredo to this Summit reserve. I have a SUMMIT, SRT and TrackHawk. This new design is a fucking duck and looks like shit. The interior is of course improved but not MASSIVELY. It is actually less improved than I expected
I remember the grand Cherokee overland summit that came out a couple of years ago. Looked just as beautiful on the inside as this one. This one has a better look ok the outside now as well
Jeep is killing it and it’s gonna be a *super tight* battle between GCL & Hyundai Palisade whenever the latter gets refreshed
April 13, 2022: The Palisade gets refreshed & I actually prefer the look of it. Inside, it gets some instrument panel updates, new seating materials, new tech.
Don't think I think the jeep is more expensive
True although I rlly like the jeep, it’s reliability is where it looses me :(
Kudos to Jeep! Looks great and nice accoutrements.
I can see that Sofyan doesn't skip leg day 😂 cheers buddy!!
Sensational interior……totally agree it’s right up there with BMW/AUDI…..& I’m an Audi man👌 will seriously consider the new Jeep Grand Cherokee when it hits Aussie👊🇦🇺
Looks very nice. Can you imagine cars in just 10 years?? They are going to get crazy.
Awesome video
I'm a big fan of redline reviews soyfan is very honest and cool and knows what he is talking about when it comes down to cars. Can't wait for the review of the Grand Wagoner I'm quite show he's going to give that vehicle a very good review can't wait soyfan
This car is absolutely beautiful. Wish I had the money to buy one.
Nice review cant wait for the grand wagonier
They've done an incredible design job with both, the interior and exterior. This one's on my radar now!
meh, Benz's C class has a better interior than this.
@@shawndonadieu4084 yes, Mercedes is making a good job recently. If this interior or the Mercedes G-Class interior is better is a matter of personal preference.
@@shawndonadieu4084 hell no c class interior isn’t even all that unless you get the c63 c class still has plastic in the interior I drive c class every day it’s not all that
@@danield.7359 the keep interior is just as good as bmw or other luxury brands people just like to get caught up with the brand name but keep and other American brands are stepping up their luxury game
@@OmarGarcia-qp9tt also check out the 2022 Mitsubishi outlander... Different, but veeery nice (in my view).
That's a very attractive sleek 3 row family SUV! I would buy one just off the looks alone!
But the repairs... That's the scary part!
@@Erin-Thor Well both drivetrains this comes with have been around for years so I wouldn't worry about about the mechanical reliability, but yeah all that tech might be an issue after a few years, but that'll be an issue with virtually any modern car anymore.
@@Erin-Thor I think if you stick with the base v6 and avoid all the top end options like the air suspension or massaging seats or full lcd cluster or 4 zone climate etc I think you’ll be just fine both tech and mechanical wise
@@Stressless2023 - Have ya ever owned a Jeep? 😳
@@Erin-Thor Have an old '09 GC Overland Hemi sitting in my driveway now. Have had a few electrical gremlins over the years, had the front differential replaced twice over, and the cheap interior and seat materials haven't aged well, but the 5.7 has been the most solid aspect of it. I bought it new during the brief period when Chrysler offered the "lifetime" powertrain warranty, have only used it twice for the weak front diff. Overall mechanical reliability will very likely be low risk for these long-term due to these drivetrains being fairly old school and tried/proven.
Excellent review. I really appreciated your comparison on the V6 vs the V8. I had a 2014 JCK with the V6 and was satisfied. But if I pick up one of these, I will check that V8 box. I have been shopping some of the near $100k German rivals and this Jeep seems just as premium without the premium price.
Had Jeep for 6 years, the vehicle spent almost half of time either in the mechanic shop or on the way to mechanic shop😭 Get Lexus!
Get a Lexus and you will spend the other half of your time in the shop for either a breakdown or a recall. I'm on my 9th Jeep. Never had one single recall or issue...
@travis west really? That's all?....
@@ryoc2138 I mean.... you can’t really think that on average a Lexus is going to be less reliable than a Jeep... right? I think Jeeps are just much more exciting/sexy/flexible, but at the same time, you realize going in that you’re not going with the “safe” choice.
@@wallinballinfam I don't think that, I know that...I know that I've been driving Jeeps for a long time and never had one single issue or recall...I also know that all the people that I know, that drive Toyotas and Lexus have constant issues and recalls...I also know that in 15 years of public safety I've worked alot of wrecks and Jeeps hold up way better than Toyotas and Lexus...that's from real world experience and not from what some paid off crash test says about safety
Never have had a problem with my May 2016 Jeep. Maybe you don't know how to take care of vehicles.
Very beautiful. Italian and American mixing is great!. Love that JEEP!.
Great review…I test drove this today…not sure if you got a dog, but the V-6 I tested was more than adequate…not sure where you got over 9 seconds 0-60…you’re getting old…that’s Prius territory. It’s definitely in the 7 second range for the V-6…big difference! I think I’m fine with the V-6. Don’t need crazy acceleration. Just want something that is quiet and roomy with a good sound system. This fills that need. I’ve had my fill of Teslas for the crazy power/torque. This will just be a hauler to saw through miles…Still thinking of the Wagoneer, but hearing lots of crazy quality issues that make Teslas seem issue free! For LKA assist systems, I wish all you reviewers would test them a little more…many people choose cars and really use them. I think it’s especially relevant to test how the systems turn off if you don’t have your hands on the wheel. Some just disengage, and others will pump breaks, slow down, make sounds, etc…important! Thanks as always. You and Alex are killing it!
Lovely interior. V8 way to go !
Looks great!
Great review Sofyan. I’ve been waiting for your review on the new GCL, particularly the Summit Reserve trim.
In your opinion, of all the available colors, do you think the Silver is the top choice? Or another? You usually choose the top colors (i.e., Adriatic Blue on GV80).
I have a green/black two-tone paint 2018 Compass and have enjoyed it - albeit it gets a lot of undeserved hate I feel. It needs slightly more power, but it has a nice interior and it’s been reliable and actually fun in bad weather and on the backroads around me. My lease ends in a month or so. While I’m moving on from Jeep for now, I can see myself coming back and getting this new Grand Cherokee L or a Gladiator in a few years. Fact: That wrap-around chrome trim on this new Grand Cherokee started on the 2nd generation Compass. It’s a good look, especially with the two-tone roof.
What a beautiful suv. Best looking!!!
i like this reviewer. very thorough but to the point. subscribe.
I’m still getting used to the rear design of the new Grand Cherokee but overall I like the new model. The Grand Cherokee really needed a new generation
The srt8 wk on the back is amazing :)
Love this one. Ok I think I am sold V8 for sure.
Can’t wait to see the 2 Row Variant
I'm thinking about getting one. hopefully tuning support comes quick. I'd like to give it a twin turb setup and more aggressive exhaust.
Sheeeesh this is wayyy better than I thought 😮😳🤯
Yeiiii your pathner back !!!
I took one (a V6 Limited) for a test drive this weekend, and was completely blown away. I kept asking myself, "This is an AMERICAN vehicle?" The ride was solid and extremely comfortable. The V6 was a little noisy when overtaking (this is a HEAVY vehicle), but the V8 would easily take care of this. I've been seeking a replacement for my old VW Touareg diesel, and the V8 Summit could very well the replacement I've been looking for (I don't need the third row, but I'm concerned the 2 row GC won't have the ride quality). The ONLY thing I did not like about the GCL was the glossy piano black infotainment system, but I can overlook this (make it flat black and make the response time a little quicker and it's a win).
GPS in the main gauge area is done very nicely on the newer Volvos
This is a jeep? 😮 its incredible 😍
This and the Grand Wagoneer is going on my shopping list next to the KIA Telluride
That looks a WOW🤩
Very Nice!
Beautiful inside and the outside
Personally the L to me looks the best in the Summit trim or top trim. I think this design in and out would look much better on a 2 row!
I’m waiting for mine… on order ! Can’t wait.
Love your videos and in depth reviews. Wish you'd go back to a POV style of review for the interior part of the review tho
Very nice truck. Good job, jeep 👏
Damnnn! Jeep needed this.
Hi… love the videos… question… what is the reason for the Sunmit to not being “Trail Rated”? It has the same 4-wheel drive system as the Overland, right?
Beautiful car love the design nice interior
Looks sick! That blk SRT8 tho 😍
Looks like a beast
this high quality stuff nice

Glad to see the new gear really did improve the video and audio, nice review as always. Im aiming for a Bronco but the non L version is also interesting enough to consider if its the same as this without the extra length
