It truly feels like our long-overdue modern revitalization of Mario Party. The camera seems so dynamic on the Wiggler board, it feels so immersive rather than top-down as the boards usually are!
I'm surprised you didn't have a greater reaction to finally the return of Hexes (a variation of Orbs) from DS!! Finally we can plant traps for our rivals again
I hope they add more characters as free DLC. 22 is high, but if it wants to be the biggest one yet, it needs to be higher imo in order to get longevity in gameplay
It’s happening. I just had my first dream about playing Super Mario Party Jamboree. In my dream, it had a feature where you could match make with other players for mini games while you play single player boards. And idk why, but in my dream that was the most exciting thing ever.
I haven’t looked at much footage of this game in a bit but man the way the camera moves alongside the characters is really nice. Overall it just looks really polished and well animated.
Just finished the video and I completely agree with you on the lack of winter boards. Makes this a tough game to play late September and onwards lol. More fall and winter boards please!
I know its slower, and I bet there is a setting to speed up the movement like in Superstars, but I love how fluid the board movement animation is. You can see Mario leaning in with his turns and everything. Superstars is a very pretty game but it felt a little static, this obviously has more budget in the animation front.
I was a bit scared to watch this video, but ended up pleasantly surprised. I...still like Super Mario Party, but will give Jamboree a fair chance. It can possibly exceed SMP as my favorite Switch title. The roster looks good. I can see Goomba as my main; I connect with him as one of my favorite enemies. I am beyond happy that Toadette and Toad returned after an eight year hiatus. It's clear that Nintendo Cube, as NDCube is now called, has improved on each Mario Party game for the Switch. The amount of details in the boards and variety of modes ensure that this game will be played for a _long_ time. It's nice to see you pumped for Mario Party, Josh. I have good hopes for Jamboree when it launches!
This *might* be the best Mario Party ever. Time will tell of course but it could be possible. This is certainly the highest budget one. Personally, as a motorsports fan I think the race board is the coolest, and it's a nice connection to Mario Kart. If they remake a board they need to do one from the Gamecube era because Superstars was exclusively N64 boards
Looks like the partners are a mode you can play. When you meet a partner, they will challenge you to a mini game and everyone plays. If you win you get that partner but if someone else wins, they get them! Partners double everything. You can buy two items in the shop and buy two stars at once! You get double the coins, but it doubles bad stuff also so land on a red space lose 6 coins over 3 and lose double to bowser! This is its own mode the maps as well as classic version looks like
I'm actually very worried that we might not get a good amount of minigames for the main boards. There's tons of minigames but they're spread throughout several modes, that's my only real worry. Kind of ironic that now that they got boards right the problem I have is with the minigames.
I've only played Mario Party Advance/DS. Is it worth picking up the first two Switch games in the series for the minigames (my favourite aspect of the games), or should I just wait for this one? I keep hearing bad things about their boards so I'm not sure 🤔
I find it crazy that they can have a mode where 20+ players can play but still have the Party Mode only be for four players. Why not have a Party Mode where you can have more than four players play it? Maybe not 20+ but just more than four.
Imagine how awful it would be waiting for 19 people to take turns before you get to take yours... And if everybody all went at the same time we would hate it because we want classic Mario Party back, and that would be some new gimmick like everybody in a car together in MP9. Not to mention everybody going at once would mean you don't feel like you're playing together, and you wouldn't know what everybody was doing.
@@TheBitBlock That's actually a great point. I just thought it would be cool if more players could play the Party Mode. 20+ players would be too much but I feel like 6 or 8 players would be fine.
@@88CDawg I think those special modes Jamboree has featured will be pretty great ways to enjoy playing MP but with larger groups. That Bowser attack mode looks so cool!
Congrats to Nintendo
Only took them 15 years but they did it
I’m a Mario party fan but yep it did

Seeing you finally content with a Mario Party is one of the decades long awaited events
If I had a nickle for every time Wario was invited to a Party on a Tropical Island within the past year, I'd have two nickels.
Which isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened twice. ;)
And not to mention the two tropical island games are released AFTER tropical island season
Whatever happened to the wiifolderjosh channel? Lol@@TheBitBlock
The fact that Waluigi Pinball and Pauline in this game is crazy. AND HEXES from Mario Party DS are back!
Waluigi pinball? Where?
@@TroboTicTac look it up , it's one of the mini games. Lol
Personally, out of the 3 games on the N64, Mario Party 3 is the best. But, you’re right; Mario Party DID peak on GameCube.
A Japanese themed winter board would go stupid hard.
Snow boards are extremely rare in Mario Party too! Imagine that board though...
I'm surprised you didn't have a greater reaction to finally the return of Hexes (a variation of Orbs) from DS!! Finally we can plant traps for our rivals again
Hexes are great man

Love seeing you get excited for this, I am as well!
i love how excited you are like a kid at a candy store! i'd love to join ur stream nd play with u when the game comes out!

Pauline’s my favorite female character from Mario, too. Tied with Rosalina. Also, what’s wrong with Peach recently? What attitude?
19:07 a waluigi pinball minigame!?? that would be cool. i love waluigi, they should bring back waluigi's island board for dlc
Woah I forgot about your channel whaddup
Super Mario Party and Mario Party Superstars feel like practice games ND Cube developed to pave the way for Jamboree!
the online stuff joshy looks so fucking fun on top of the cool game boards
Hello Josh. Its Sabastian
Are you going to play the Super Mario Eclipse mod?
I've only played Mario Party Advance/DS. Is it worth picking up the first two Switch games in the series for the minigames (my favourite aspect of the games), or should I just wait for this one? I keep hearing bad things about their boards so I'm not sure 🤔
The second one is fine. It’s only the first one that has the issue with the boards
They need to add back boss fight I really love it. I hope it’s in here in the bows of ones just a sneak peek
wallet will be empty after EOW and jamboree

This is shaping up to be the best Mario Party.
I still wish they’d bring back the character specific dice(even though they were terribly unbalanced).
Whats the name of your first channel, i remember waching mini games of mario party from game cube with my girlfriend a 14 years ago😮
Are you still with your gf?
@@NickMario1 yes, ive been married with her for 12 years.
Someone remember the others old channels?
Awesomeness video I love marioparty baby!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Snowflake Lake is from Mario Party 6, not 3 your thinking of Chilly Waters
I have more faith in nintendo after they recently have done a ton of great mario games after years of bad mario games
There was one Mario Party before which was kind of lame that they never added a few more characters and boards (No DLC or anything)
Good video
