And once a month, Dad would take me either to Wentworth Park for the doggies or Harold Park for the trots. It was such a simple outing but I loved it.
There's a pretty girl smiling in that video about 2 minutes , 8 seconds in She was 18 at the time , I met her when she turned 19 we are still happily married 41 years on
The Eastern Suburbs railway line in the background at 0:46. I think this could have been filmed at Edgecliff, but I could be wrong. The train line still looks the same, but those type of trains don't, nor do those houses.

My dad had a mechanic workshop just around Wentworth Park dogs when i was a kid, spent a lot to time there in my youth, those pubs where the old times drank Resch's and DA, smoked Capstan, Ardath and Camel. Young, old and everyone inbetween drank at the same bar... good days. All those pubs now are unrecognisable with their hipster, non binary rainbow patrons.....used to be better
