Finally great updates 21 inch wheels,tft display, switchable abs, cruise control,quick shifters....good job, the engine is already a plus point for suzuki including this changes can really up their game

@@PaydayGabeBCNV normal v strom 1050 got 19 inch alloy wheels whereas v strom 1050DE is their of road specific model which got 21 inch spoked wheels
@@midhungopan9270 says _but spoked wheels are better for off-road_ Yeah that's the point, these machines rarely go off-road & if they do they don't need 21". Don't get me wrong, I'd own one BUT the off-road thing is mostly a state-of-mind with this genre.

Finally, a dependable bmw!
Heavier, less suspension travel, less ground clearance, very high cog, less power and torque, no shaft drive and telelever suspension, and not as robust. It is an objectively worse bike in every imaginable metric.

@@armadilllo I had two BMW’s: 2009 f800gs, and an 2015 r1200gsa. The f800 only suffered sweating head gaskets, which was a minor issue. Other than that tens of thousands of kilometres with no issues.
@@armadilllo to be honest, what’s the point of buying the most reliable bike if it’s a piece of junk? Are you planning on handing it down to your grandkids? 😂
@@khakimzhanmiras my first four bmws were pretty dependable except for blown up rear ends and brake modules corroding. BMWs are complete junk now. They should have stuck to building motorcycles instead of computers. I'll never buy another. Out of the 59-60 bikes I've owned, bmw has been the worst for dependability.
Finally, they replaced the LCD display with the TFT one.
Oui sauf que là la version DE a une roue de 21 pouces à l'avant ^^, des débattements de suspensions AV/AR un peu plus grands, et un ABS déconnectable ...! Après en plus ils ont amélioré encore aussi les courbes de couple et puissance pour une meilleure réactivité mécanique mais "oui vous avez raison ^^ ils ont juste mis un TFT à la place d'un LCD" ^^ ...m'enfin bon ^^ !
Alors ok un peut critiquer et en vouloir aux dirigeants de Suzuki d'avoir mis de côté déjà pour l'Europe la GSX-R 1000 (car toujours vendue en Amérique du Nord et ailleurs ^^) et d'arrêter les courses en EWC, mais sinon faut pas faire des raccourcis non plus pour dire un peu tout et n'importe quoi (possesseur aussi de GSX-R 1000 de 2020 (édition Yoshimura) qui parle.
Là au moins plus personne pourra dire que Suz n'a pas de vraie version baroudeuse lourde.
Après pour ce qui concerne la catégorie Hypersport c'est dommage effectivement, mais on peut voir "aussi" le bon côté des choses car Suz a encore une Hyper-GT avec l'Hayabusa (sans même parler des versions prépas turbos ...homologuées en Angleterre sur l'actuelle ^^ sur commande spéciale), déjà de base elle se vend assez bien (chaque fois que je fais un tour en grosse concession, hormis le modèle d'essai évidement ...ben il y en a en générale maximum une pas encore achetée, les autres sont toutes déjà vendues et attendent leurs proprios) ! Qu'elle autre marque aujourd'hui, qui pourtant passent les normes Euro5 et ont une Hypersport dans leur gamme, aligne une hyper-GT ?!?!
En 20 ans les ventes d'Hypersports toutes marques confondues ont chuté de 77 % rien qu'en France par exemple car de plus en plus puissantes, de plus en plus exclusives et compliquées à "exploiter" sur routes et sans parler des mentalités qui évoluent aussi (malheureusement ça, chacun voit de midi à sa porte ?!).
Perso j'aime et je préfère les Hypersports mais ça n'a plus le vent en poupe ^^ ...il faut être honnête, le seul pays, dit riche, où cela se vend encore bien ce sont les USA, même au Canada ça recule !
Donc voilà je préfère voir une Hyper-GT polyvalente rester, rouler, durer et croiser souvent sur la route (gage d'une certaine santé cohérente dans le temps de l'entreprise car il faut pas oublier ce que ces marques vendent à côté dans les pays dits en voies de développements ^^ et les marges largement meilleures en générales qu'ils se dégagent), qu'un truc pour faire vitrine plus qu'autre chose mais en croiser tous les "4 jours" de l'année car ça se vend quasi pas parce que "ça coûte un bras" mais surtout d'utilisations bien plus limitées !
Pour qu'au final afin de compenser les pertes éventuels de ventes limitées sur ce type de moto extrême, bien des marques font des entretiens chers et/ou des prix de ventes non justifiés sur d'autres motos neuves dans leur gamme.
Un constructeur ne vendra jamais à perte sinon il coule ...logique ^^, les Hypersports sont assez bons marchées par rapport à leurs capacités réelles ^^ ...sinon on en verrait "pas plus" que des Ferrari ou des Lambos et comme cela leur sert de vitrine/pub technologique ...il faut qu'il y en est une certaine quantités qui circulent mais pour cela des prix contenus ...mais se faisant leurs marges sont ridicules ^^ sur ces motos extrêmes ...du coup dites-vous toujours que l'argent rentre autrement ^^ !
Après le choix de Suzuki d'arrêter l'Endurance et la production de la GSX-R 1000 est un choix critiquable et je le partage (surtout l'arrêt en EWC qui est une économie de bouts de chandelles pour le coup ^^, autant le Moto Gp on pouvait comprendre mais l'Endurance non ^^ !) ! Maintenant c'est peut-être pour cela qu'ils compensent un peu avec l'Hayabusa, où la base, même si modifiée et évoluée est déjà en partie bien amortie, ce qui leur permet de faire des marges pas ridicules sur cette machine, tout en ayant un engin à haute performance, même si il s'agit d'une Hyper-GT !
Mais avec sans doute pour autre objectif aussi des ventes plus stables dans le temps aussi. On verra s'ils ont visé/parié juste sur ce point !

Might a 700DE be on its way ? with parallel twin as sturdy/trusty/reliable than the v-twin? And could the 1050DE be...a little late in the current game? So what should replace my 650ABS 2011 ? Do I need extra weight to venture on gravel roads ? Do I want to transport extra metal, plastic and electronic weight to my preferred landscapes, from gas station to gas station, as we all gashoppers do, BTW? It may be morally wrong to use the same bike after over 10 years without feeling the need to change it... I'm attracted by this 1050DE , but am I convinced ?
