$134K is not a steep price for a vehicle that will outlast any BMW or Mercedes luxury SUV by many years and mostly trouble free while doing so. Heck, you can purchase a Maserati by Chrysler for $100k and suffer maladies from the start. Perspective is important.
Not even two years old and looks so dated, especially the interior. It may perhaps be worst in class. The Infiniti QX80 is a far more comprehensive and complete vehicle than this. And before anybody comes at me, these are NOT the tanks of the previous LXs. With the massive engine recall as well not having that vault like feel and interior space inefficiency, it just isnt special anymore.
The LX needs an interior refresh. The new Escalade and BMW X7 are incredible inside. This LX will outlast both of those, but Lexus needs to add more flare to the interiors.
Yes the LX will pretty much have 2-3x the life as any luxury vehicle in its class just idk. Will that really translate to sales? I would honestly just choose the GX over this. I think this needs a heavy refresh, and it needs to grow in size because that cargo space is just terrible. It’s a small suv so something that is classified as full sizd

The 10-speed automatic is also bullet proof and has earned its reputation of reliability and refinement over the years. It’s the reason Toyota went and developed their own 10-speed automatic.
Its really expensive, us in ppl in Saudi Arabia and uae buy it for about 400k-600k sar/aed which is around 105k$-160k$ And the problem is that they sell like hotcakes!!
We need a new SUV. We can afford this. But, for 25,000, we could get a sedan and have no car payment and let the $100,000 stay in savings and work for us. It is insulting that auto manufacturers charge outrageous prices and just expect us to accept it as normal.
Much improved, but why would I choose this over a 2025 Cadillac Escalade for the same money again?? Escalade makes this look like a Landcruiser in drag. I’ve noticed how everything in the segment including some smaller SUVs are slowly but surely adopting the Escalade’s bold massive grille but still not executed to the level of the Cadillac.
I’ve been non-plussed with Lexus over the last 7 years. My current Lexus is for sale. I made more out of warranty repairs on that car than I expected. I’m looking at a Yukon XL Denali, an Escalade ESV, a Navigator L and the Jeep Grand Wagoneer. Acura doesn’t make a truck in this segment and Infinitis are mechanical nightmares.
I’d get the Escalade in a heart beat. Those things are gorgeous on the inside and out. Plus more room and much better interior amenities and tech compared to this overpriced LX lol 😂

Dislike when car companies make the infotainment screen so small or have buttons around it! Like we can put that push start button somewhere else and the power/volume knob near the center console, so we can have a bigger/bezel-less infotainment screen.
My 2021 Santa Fe's infotainment center is far better than this, and considering the gap in year and price, thats embarrassing. No way in Hell anyone should take this over an Escalade.
That’s right, unfortunately, that LX 600 shares the same twin turbo engine with their new Toyota thundra trucks and new Toyota sequoia. They are having massive engine failures when they changed to the 6 cylinder turbos instead of keeping the time and tested V8’s.
Same! Got a luxury with appearance package and added fsport wheels. Legitimately one of the best cars I’ve ever driven. People who compare this to an Escalade or bmw haven’t driven them. In close to 9 months of ownership I haven’t even seen another one on the road. But saw two new Escalades at dinner last night haha
Owned one for 3 months. It was horrible. Loved the look and solidity. Hated the cramped, awkward space and completely haphazard, unrefined, shaking, shuddering, wobbling, mess it was to drive. Didn’t even get past 1000 miles and had to get out of it. Toyota is so bizarre in their truck space, and refuses to update designs or refinement. 2 years before, I had a new Wagoneer, and in comparison, even it was 1000x more refined, and comfortable, and well done, it was shocking how bad these are. At least the rarity and resale let me get out of it for more than sticker. Never looked back, and will never do a Toyota Lexus truck again after 4 of them, and this.
This is last in its class, everything else has a modern interior, can’t even use “well it’s reliable” card anymore because the powertrain had a recall!
The second these drop in the use market, I'll be after one. Current in a 2013 LX570 and while it's not the most tech savy or the most luxurious, it just does everything right in a smooth reliable way. Can't say I'd ever cross shop an Escalade/Range Rover/Denali or whatever with an LX. Just sort of very different vehicles and vehicle approaches. I'm sure people do it, but I don't think I would. Loosing the split tailgate and that 8" dash is such a blow though.
Lexus is a funny brand. They tend to be very luxurious cars but then they do little things that make it look like a Toyota. Gauge cluster is sad, I still think the steering wheel looks too much like a Toyota steering wheel and then a panoramic moonroof or a twin panel monroof not being available. You really don’t know what you’re gonna get.
The lack of wood and soft touch materials in that interior is extremely alarming, since that’s what Lexus models were known for. They’re trying so hard to be sporty and be equal to BMW and Audi without alienating their core buyer, but sometimes you can’t do both.

Beauty SUV. Domestics will never have the quality and reliability of Lexus. The GX 550 Overtrail is a beast and the best luxury off road SUV with no competition in its price range. The G Wagon is very very nice but also costs much much more

The problem is Lexus is neglecting their models and prioritizing Toyota models. The 2025 Toyota Sequoia Capstone looks better, and the interior is nicer looking in more interior colors. There really is no need to spend the extra 30k for a lexus anymore unless you're a brand snob.
@jpdoc5722 The days of exotic real woods and 100% Italian leather are long gone. LEXUS interiors like most cars are full of cheap plastic and synthetic leather. The new Camrys interior is larger and has better materials than the ES, and the Toyota trucks have ambient lighting, real wood, 14-inch screens, and look luxurious. There honestly isn't a reason to spend the extra money in my opinion you don't get anything different.

The interior looks heavily dated compared to the recently redesigned escalade, Navigator, Range Rover, and QX80. I wonder what the hell lexus was thinking when they designed the interior.

So basically a Land Cruiser 300 dressed up with nice suit and upgraded interior and some exterior differences. Not worth it cause has no massage seats in the front which the gx top trim has so weird. The new qx80 and Escalade and x7 gls are way better than this. And can’t say reliable cause these are engines issues and have to get replaced.
I like the look better than the GX, but what does it offer over the GX at this point? It doesn't have the features and interior of the class leaders so why would you pay 113K for this? The interior is no better than any Toyota SUV. You can holler about reliability (as the engines get replaced) but the Range Rover absolutely shits on this thing. As does the 2025 Escalade and that is quite a feat for a Detroit made product. Now as of tonight you can add the 2025 Navigator to the list. Then there is the reborn Infiniti QX80 which beats this fast ageing "redesigned" LX. Better hope that Genesis GV90 doesn't have an ICE version.

The buyer demographic for this vehicle needs to tell Toyota to step up their game. For Toyota to still offer an interior that was considered "top end" in the early 2000's and a 100k+ asking price and still have buyers must be the running joke in Japan.
