Thank you for making a Nick Johnson video. Went to an O’s game on my birthday like 10 years ago, got to skip school, and had never heard of Nick Johnson before. But he was in the lineup for the Orioles that day so I said he was gonna hit a home run that day and he went yard twice. Only played 38 games for Baltimore and hit 4 home runs and I saw half of those on one day, I will never forget Nick Johnson

I found your channel with this video after searching "Nick Johnson mlb" after nearly typing "Nick Johnson underrated." Needless to say you earned yourself a subscriber.

Nick Johnson was also one of the best left handed hitters versus left handed pitching matchups in MLB history; check his career splits!

The fact that Juan Soto has a .400 OBP in each of his first 5 seasons in the bigs is a stat that never ceases to amaze me (yes, I know this includes the mini-season in 2020 but still)

The value of the walk. Literally if your on base percentage sits around .370 or higher. You are worth every penny.

Having watched both stints with the Yankees, Nick Johnson was NOT underrated, he was properly rated as an on base machine "if he stays healthy," which he rarely did.

Naw...4 teams in a 10 year career? He was nothing, saw him a few times and he had spindly legs on a big body....When you have toothpick legs you should never wear your socks up! He looked like Big Bird with that fat body and those legs!

@@kendallevans4079 I like him on par with how good he was. He’s an all-time great at drawing walks. Sounds boring. But it’s valuable to a team’s offense. Unfortunately he often wasn’t available to his team due to injury, which certainly lessened his value. I’m just being fair. You’re being a hater.
