Yes! Thanks for * giving it a shot*. That's the bestest blusiest thing I've seen in years.
that is rock solid. great acoustic blues by a stellar flatpicker
This is just awesome over 60 yrs of playing and I think I just heard the greatest sounding guitar I have ever heard and this guy is a picker all right Great !!
^^^ times 10.
Not as good as Tony Rice's
Charles Elwell m
Andy is crazy talented and good guy! Check out his band, Infamous Stringdusters, and you can buy this DVD at the Station Inn! It was amazing to behold! I feel fortunate to have been there...
brilliant in every respect, I enjoyed that a lot !
Dude was awesome then too!!!
Great job.
Wow Andy. What Charles Elwell said, and then sum -lin. Loved the vocals as well.
WOW.....
Started in blues, too, and am trying to transition to bluegrass. They're not as related as one might think. Flatpicking is a different style and technique. But I love it.
goosebumps
just turn it up... thankew Andy...
yes, as the wikipedia page says, it's " a folk-blues song written by Walter Vinson and Lonnie Chatmon," who were in the sheiks
I think I met you playing with Felix many years ago
All and all I'd say it went quite well....
I was looking for Chet and the Million Dollar Band!!!!! Never found it!!!!
This song was around WAY before the Dead did it...
The way Martin should sound. Woody, clear with lots of sustain.
looks about early 60's D-28. Rounded peg head corners was a strange feature for a few years...
You guys act like he didn't prepare for this.Of course he did!!!
It could be because he started out by making excuses about not being prepared.
Pretty
Lets see how its going to turn out? haha
In the Doc Watson 's songs book (OAK publication 1973) Doc saids " the first version I ever heard of *settin'of top of the world *was done by a negro blues and jug band named the * mississippi sheiks *
hey buddy what guage strings do you use please?
He uses 13s.
lol critter at the end
Who disliked this? Duh
So Andy you got that ole Martin fixed up. That Dumb ass in Oneonta Jim at the guitar center really f'd that guitar up. Action was 1/2 " .couldn't get a note out of it . He should be booted from Martins repair shop list.
Great song and great playin there Andy .
Please don't flag me as a spam!
you could do about three seconds of research to find out, man. did you ever hear of "googling?" check out howlin wolf's version of this song too, in my opinion the very best
Guitar distracting from the Song, should never happen.🤔🤨🙄
