I remember Matt from his Superbike magazine days! I really like The Bike Show, enthusiastic and well experienced presenters convey the sheer fun that bikes are......nice one. :-)
I just bought a 2008 Hypermotard 1100s in May 2020, and unfortunately I crashed it on july 3rd 2020, but currently it is under reconstruction and she will be road worthy on September 26 2020, I cant wait to ride again! (Greetings from Utah, USA!)
I traded in my HYM 1100 with the race ECU and race cam last year for a more grown up Multistrada 1200s. My back is thanking me for it, but god do I miss the pure unadulterated hooliganism of my old bike.
Had my Black 1100s Hyper since 2009 still only 5 k on the clock .Isle of man 3 times with it . Sits along side my Copper Busa .RD350LC and Grom . It's a total awesome machine with full single termi although I have a set of twin Termi for it as back up Will never sell it EVER
I am glad they are back on RUclips free . Bike show please continue .the more you post. The more you will get recommended to the viewers who watch others like 44teeth , MCN , on two wheels etc..
2008-2014 is the golden era in motorcycling according to me. Back in time no 200hp shit and cutting edge riding aids bull shit. It was all about fun. Using the power in the real world. I mean look at the 09 R1, it's way better looking than any Japanese or european model out there today. Love those days of motorcycling.
It bothers me that everyone talks about the Hypermotard as if the Hyperstrada is just a blip. But handguards, tall windscreen and handlebars, lower pegs, softer suspension and seat, factory luggage, 2 12v sockets, and a centre stand in the same excitable motard package is a winner in my book. If you could only have 1 bike, the Hyperstrada makes a better case for itself than the motard if you ask me
I totally agree with you both. I have a 2007 Aprilia Tuono Factory. I also had the V4 APRC Tuono in 2013. I loved that bike but the 2007 one gave me more grins per mile than the V4 did. Weird huh!
I had all of them and I bought the 1100 S 🇮🇹🔥💯,it is the best, truly the best of them all!!! You won't understand until you ride it,it is like comparing a Ferrari with a bmw or a VW ... The bike is extremely good 💚🤍❤️💯🔥🇮🇹
I have an 1100S with 2-1 Termignoni which I have owned for around 5 years now and it is one of the most fun bikes I've ever owned. The engine has loads of low down stomp and 2nd gear power wheelies involve nothing more than opening up the throttle a little bit quickly and feeling the ultra controllable lofting of the front wheel to pretty much the balance point. Only issue I have is that whenever I'm out on it, due to the noise, every have a go moderate sports car driver wants to try and race it. There are quicker and more powerful bikes out there (I own some of them) but it's still one of the most fun bikes I've ever owned.
I ride my SP like a dirtbike. A 90hp twin offroad is so much fun. Everyone I meet asks me what it is, then what size is the engine. I have to laugh when I say 1100cc's! I have eight bikes and this one holds a special place in my heart.
Been keeping an eye out for an 1100 SP for a few years now. I think it's better than the Nuda 900R (which I've owned). The engine is ALL torque and character -- a joy to ride. Why why why why why are motorcycle companies, including the now Audi-Ducati, oblivious to this? The 950 Hyper is still all power instead of fist-fulls of torque.
I've tried to have other bikes like the speed and street triples, liter sports bikes, etc. and am now on my second 1100s. Put a big tank on it which I did to both of the ones I've owned and you can tour on them, track, commute, everything....best...bike...ever.....I rode a new one and while it was tiny in comparison and faster, and I'd gladly own one, its not the same experience.
Unnecessary. This bike was designed to chuck wheelies on corner exit and steer with the throttle and rear brake. ABS and TC would just be switched off the vast majority of the time.
I drive the 1100s, for 5 years and 32,000 km. Ducati racing maps. Leo vince 2x2 decat exhaust K&N air filter K&N oil filter etc. The bike is a charm to drive in the city or on road (up to 400 km) it preforms excellent. Not to mention that it sounds like the end of the world when you drive it's making explosions even when you release throttle. I would never sell this bike, it will my little Ferrari. :)
Can't help but wonder what the one naked bike is in Mat's garage.. 890 duke r? I love how you guys can convey your passion and enthusiasm about a bike and get me excited about something I've never even rode, perhaps even heard of lol Cheers!
The main reason these guys don't have a lot more subscribers is that they don't connect with their audience, if you look at other 'inferior' channels with more subscribers they take time to reply/comment on subscribers comments, also they state their bike prices in Rand, which is meaningless to anyone outside of SA.
The show airs on South African national television hence the use of the local currency. We will put some thought into mentioning the Dollar price, although prices vary in many countries so that might not be relevant either. We will look into it, though.
@@jeffhopkins8131 well dollars mean equally little to me. but the info is just a search away so i know 2 rand equals 1 Danish krone. further why would you care what a bike cost in south africa. i watch because of the fabouless content and grerat chemestry the guys have, :-)
Don't get me wrong,i absolutely love the Dorsoduro, and i am a huge fan of aprilia, but the hyper is on another level... And the only aprilia i would put next to mine (hyper S '08) is the sxv550 because of the power to weight ratio.... But one thing is sure, Italian bikes rock and are the best of the best!!! My next one is going to be a Panigiale 🤍🤍🤍
@@ace-pv4hy ya there’s pros and cons. Ducati makes a better bike but they never go on sale. So when I bought my brand new Dorsoduro 900 2 years ago for $6500 Out the door, I would’ve had to drop about $16k-$18k for the Hypermotard.

Nah, 2010s fuel injection was rubbish :(

Great vid thanks for putting this bike on again love it 👌👍

I'd be interested to see you on a KTM 950sm and how you think it compares to the hyper.
