Jeff is calling it "Returning Players", not legends, heroes, villains or even good players. I would not be surprised if all the players come from new era Survivor. He may use some lame excuse about old era Survivor players aging out. It's not 39 days anymore. Although they are older, they don't have to endure as long either.
Yeah it would be way better if season 48 was the all new age returning player season (so we can figure out who the legends actually are) and then put the best 3-4 of those players on season 50 with 16-17 of the known Legends from 40 and back.
Hope you’re wrong but I wouldn’t be surprised tbh. After the major flip we’ve seen I’d be really surprised if they brought back any of the legit legends. It wouldn’t fit their idealistic victim olympics version of Survivor. All we want is for the game to be played HARD. I really couldn’t care less about the players’ personal lives or their political beliefs or sexuality. Little tidbits is fine but what matters is how they play the game.

Throw a curveball in the mix too. Have 2 consecutive "26 day" games going same time (without the 2 games knowing of each other). Once each game gets down to 9 each, instead of moving to the jury then surprise merge the 2 games and technically "reset" to day 1 and extend it to a full OG 39 days with true legends of the game left only

Yam Yam and Emily are the closest I can think of. Jesse has potential. But Yam Yam played a perfect game and Emily has the strongest personal development of any player in the new era.
They might follow what The Challenge is doing for its 40th season. Bringing legends/fan favorites from the different eras. I believe they’re doing 4 eras. Season 1-10, 11-20, and ect…
Give me Mike, Jesse and Dee as locks from the new era. Most likely Q the way things are travelling too. No matter what the theme is though its going to be made up of at least half from S41 onwards whether that's as a new school vs old school theme or whatever
People who are fairly loyal to alliances! I think it's one of the most important parts of the social game. That's one of my favorite parts of the show. But I think it's lacking in the new era, so they might have a more difficult time finding enough players there. And the fact that Jeff does a regular show with that gal who won last season who was so disloyal indicates that they probably don't value that.

The only new era players that I think should get cast if its needed are people like Des (season 45 winner), Carolyn (season 44), Yam Yam (season 44 winner) and Jesse (season 43)
We can definitely do without seeing players for a 5th and 6th time too. You have had your moment at that point. Give some one time players like Christian, Dom, Rick Devens etc the chance to become new legends

Emily is Queen Bee of the new era in terms of personal content. She, Jesse, and Yam Yam are the ones with the most legend potential. I think you need to play two seasons before we know if you're a legend or not, but you have to let people play a second season to know.

Youre by far my favorite survivor ever. I'd rather see a return season by you than any season. Id be happy to see season 50 be exclusively new era though. As much as I hate the friendly/good people cast every season, I think they could pull 2-3 players from each of the new era seasons to make a solid cast. You know the saying "keep your friends close but enemies closer" well survivor needs to take note of that. 3 New Era Jonathan Young - His challenge dominance was a sight to behold every time, he didn't have the elite gameplay knowledge but showed some, I believe with a second chance he would dominate in almost every aspect of the game Jesse Lopez- This isn't much of a debate but Jesse is easily the greatest non winner in the new era and some would argue best player period. His Jeremy Collins type strategy with the using Cody as a meat shield, and then cutting him last minute, his amazing story, and cut throat ability is pure cinema, if there is a returnee season without him it sucks. Maryanne Oketch- Maryanne is one of the most underrated survivor winners. She was under the radar the whole game while making big moves when needed to and still staying low, her speaking ability is some of the greatest ever, she also has the greatest final tribal performance in the history of survivor if not second after Todd Herzog. I believe with another game she can continue to go under the radar, similar to a nicer version of Sandra Diaz-Twine. 3 Old School Christian Hubicki- Christian displayed Great gameplay all around. He had a perfect social game, perfect strategic mind, just couldn't find a way to keep his threat level low. He even had a Caramoan-John Cochran type challenge presence. Christian is a mastermind and given a second chance I believe he can perfect his game. Todd Herzog- Not sure how likely it is he would come back, but Todd is the best one time player ever. The only mistake he made was giving James the idol but was able to quickly turn the around and right his wrong and be build an even stronger resume, a blessing in disguise. He had perhaps the greatest final tribal performance even being able to silence Jean-Robert, known loud mouth. Todd has always been a winner I wanted to see again. Rob Cesternino- Rob's strategic mind was too far ahead of his time back in survivor Amazon. He was able to pull off moves that would make him at his time the smartest player ever. Being a big part of the current survivor community I feel like he would say yes to playing again and would adapt easily. Those are my 6 survivor players I hope return for season 50.
My top 3 new school era is Dee (winner of 45) Jesse (43) and Noelle (43) my old school picks would be Russell ofc (19,20,22) Sarah (28,34,40) James (15,16,20)

i think with the way they push this “new era” concept, they’re going to do all stars of the old era vs. the new era. i can’t see them doing only 2 new era players. they’re too bought into this new era concept.

Jonathan Young - His challenge dominance was a sight to behold every time, he didn't have the elite gameplay knowledge but showed some, I believe with a second chance he would dominate in almost every aspect of the game
Jesse Lopez- This isn't much of a debate but Jesse is easily the greatest non winner in the new era and some would argue best player period. His Jeremy Collins type strategy with the using Cody as a meat shield, and then cutting him last minute, his amazing story, and cut throat ability is pure cinema, if there is a returnee season without him it sucks.
Maryanne Oketch- Maryanne is one of the most underrated survivor winners. She was under the radar the whole game while making big moves when needed to and still staying low, her speaking ability is some of the greatest ever, she also has the greatest final tribal performance in the history of survivor if not second after Todd Herzog. I believe with another game she can continue to go under the radar, similar to a nicer version of Sandra Diaz-Twine.
3 Old School
Christian Hubicki- Christian displayed Great gameplay all around. He had a perfect social game, perfect strategic mind, just couldn't find a way to keep his threat level low. He even had a Caramoan-John Cochran type challenge presence. Christian is a mastermind and given a second chance I believe he can perfect his game.
Todd Herzog- Not sure how likely it is he would come back, but Todd is the best one time player ever. The only mistake he made was giving James the idol but was able to quickly turn the around and right his wrong and be build an even stronger resume, a blessing in disguise. He had perhaps the greatest final tribal performance even being able to silence Jean-Robert, known loud mouth. Todd has always been a winner I wanted to see again.
Rob Cesternino- Rob's strategic mind was too far ahead of his time back in survivor Amazon. He was able to pull off moves that would make him at his time the smartest player ever. Being a big part of the current survivor community I feel like he would say yes to playing again and would adapt easily.
Those are my 6 survivor players I hope return for season 50.
My top 3 new school era is Dee (winner of 45) Jesse (43) and Noelle (43) my old school picks would be Russell ofc (19,20,22) Sarah (28,34,40) James (15,16,20)
okay players i want back (not including Russell because he said he most likely wont accept.) pre new era. Ozzy, Christian hubicki, and Tony. new era players would be Q, Shan, and of course the best player of the new era (in my opinion) Cody
New Era: Jesse (43), Shan (41) Or Noelle (43) and Jonathan (42) also Kaleb (45) is a good choice

Only people that qualify is Cody #1 and Johnathan for Physical threat. Plus i think he'd change his game.
i think with the way they push this “new era” concept, they’re going to do all stars of the old era vs. the new era.
i can’t see them doing only 2 new era players. they’re too bought into this new era concept.
Maybe they do “old school” versus “new school”
I think thats the most feasible thing that they would do. 10 person tribe from seasons 30-39 and 10 person tribe from seasons 41-48(9?)
Or new school all stars which would be upsetting imo
@@StupidManCostume I agree. I would love to see some of my all time favorites come back from seasons 1-29 but I think your suggestions are the most likely scenario.

I would kinda like to see a season with a lot of challenge beasts and good strategic players, so everyone’s a target and the challenges are a bit better to watch
