What I don't like about 1899 is that there are some actors who are famous by appearing in teenager series. This means those actors will obviously advertise 1899 in their instagram accounts, twitter, etc. And this means that every dumb teenager who knows this actors will come and watch 1899, something that didn't happen with Dark, where only the true fans watched all the seasons. And then we will have a bunch of some millions of kids saying that 1899 is boring
The vessel shape reminds me only Olympic Class ships. I'm a fan of Titanic so I know what I say. CGI model here is exactly one of Titanic sisters or herself. All significant detales are being observed accurately, for sure: masts, funnels, hull, etc. No matter that these 3 sister ships had been sailing since 1911, it MUST be one of them.
Yes, the title if very confusing. 1899 was the year in which the RMS Oceanic sank, which had just 2 funnels. Not 4, like in the teaser, which of course looks like Titanic, or any of its sisters.
