But I think they make a lot of good supplementary pieces that can be enjoyed alongside the originals. Though obviously I haven't listened to them all. I particularly like this song in its original form. Really resonates with me.

Best English Dub Opening I've ever heard.
Honestly, didnt expect this kind of opening when i first started playing today. Yes i know, shame me all you want cause its already been out for 3 yrs. But now i can play it all i want. And that opening (minus lyrics, dont know why it came without lyrics, heard its japan ver exclusive) blew my mind when it started. And english ver here is just as badass
-Plays ToZ as first experience with the "Tales of" franchise.
-ToZ immediately jumps straight to top slot for favorite JRPGs of all time.
-Keeps hearing that ToZ is a terrible game. Steam reviews and own experience with the game beg to differ.

Grey Rifter Rellik I enjoyed this game and it was my first tales as well
It's only terrible if you played Tales games in the past.
Compared to the likes of Vesperia or Xilla, it is very lackluster.
Its artes system is inferior, its battle system has largely negative reception (i did enjoy parts of it), and the party system was a complete shift from the norm with the seraphs.
Vesperia was my first, and the best one to me. Zesteria has honestly been the worst to me, having played Vesperia, Xilla&xilla 2, Symphonia, and trying berseria out.
it in my opinion could have been done much better, but is still has enough going for it that it still can bear the "tales of" label without shaming it.
It's the worst game in the series tbh, but i can understand why you like it

I am so blown away by this! I knew there were vocals to the Japanese version of the opening but I didn't bother myself to listen to it. I figured it wouldn't be as good in my mind because of how in love with the instrumental used in the English version of the game's opening I am. I happened upon this cover though and I have to say - you are amazing. I love your voice and I don't know what the original lyrics are but you did a great job with the translation. Sounds to me like you didn't sacrifice flow for the sake of accuracy and I love that. Great job!

Not really, if you armatize and attack an enemy who's in the middle of casting an arte, it really screws you over. Armatizing throughout isn't a good idea. But what I don't like about the game is the complicated fusion system...

Some things I'll always be bitter about tales of Beseria fans: They're so jealous of Tales of Zestiria that they go so far as writing stupid stuff in the Tales Wiki page that say Zestiria is so underwhelming that Tales of Beseria is considered to be the "anniversary" Tales game. That's pure BS. It's Berseria that was underwhelming in sales all over Japan and the other regions (see official Tales of youtube channel where the sales of all tales games were released). Likewise, most reviewers have been boosting figures in the comments for Berseria suspiciously- like flocking there all at the same time with the same generic comments- and from user accounts that are virtually empty.
Also, they DID vandalize Sorey's page- and kept posting wallpapers of Sorey and Alisha to promote the false impression that they know would make this game even more controversial than it already is.
I like for ALL Tales game to get attention- but the way some Berseria fans are doing it is just SUS.
So I'm playing Zestiria again after a few years and of course I had to listen to the opening (instru and japanese). And now here I am... *OH MY GOD THIS IS SO GOOD*

The worst part us she is a party memeber for the first act of the game and then leaves for a very good reason (She is held hostage) but after that she just never joins your team again! They think up some bullshit excuse like her "Resonance" isn't high enough to be a squire or something. At least her replacement Rose is awesome
Then in the Alisha DLC the excuse of her not having good enough resonance is completely absent.
Also I think Rose is crap, mostly because she's a "pure hearted murderer". Even saying she does investigations before the killing she still kills for money. Baba does not understand how dumb that is.
to me, rose was easily one of the best things about zestiria's rather bland campaign so while it's unfortunate alisha's screentime got truncated, im glad the replacement was an arguably better character. Rose injected a bit of personality into a party that sort of lacked it (although edna was pretty cool)
Lailah gave the group more personality than anyone else. Alisha is also a better written character and more likeable character than Rose.
My opinion. Feel free to disagree :P
