I also started buying laundry detergent and paper products there. Their organic chicken is usually cheapest at Aldi’s. So that’s what I buy there… and bread. IMO So far the quality has been good.
@@Keepmoving-y7c yes! It’s a good little store. My Trader Joe’s is 30 minutes away too just because I live in a Metroplex and due to traffic. The Aldi’s is 2 miles away. Their corn is not GMO either. Fun to see what you buy.
Actually, my local store has a sale on soup cans. Usually, my wife takes the two chickens we buy and make soup out of them. Mostly in the fall and winer. $20 on candy is only about two bags. Lol
Trying to Just get by on social security while addicted to shopping. This is hilarious. I'm not addicted because I can quit any time. This is how you don't do it.
I eat good and don't go over my SS budget. Pretty smart cookie I think.
A lot of people out there with too many opinions. You be you! I enjoy your channel.
I like different opinions!
Good prices! Hey Buzz, we used to call that old people's cereal! Just kidding, haha!
I usually try to get the cereal with the lowest sugar content. This isn't one of them. Lol
Helavagood dip is good. We alway get the Lawson's chip dip at Circle K when we come back to Cleveland. Lawson's is long gone but the chip dip was good enough for someone to resurrect. I still remember the Big-O song they played in commercials.
I haven't had that Lawsons dip in a long time and I used to work at one! Lol
@@BuzzRetirementGarage Go to Circle K and get you some. Guardians were in the game right until the end with two men on base.
These items are not outrageously priced. You worked hard to get to this point of life! Enjoy 😊
Could be worse right? Thank you.
Usually get free Thomas English Muffins with Kroger/Ralph’s digital coupons.
No Krogers or Ralphs near me.
Recommend Olive oil from Trader Joe’s if you have one. Closest one to us is about 2 hours away so when we are there I pick up what I can then!! Thanks for sharing! Hope your Guardians are still in it!
Guardians are toast now. Oh well. Good season. I have a Trader Joes about 20 minutes away, but I've never been there.
@@BuzzRetirementGarage Great season! I am a lifelong suffering Seattle Mariners fan, for context! 😳😀
@@BuzzRetirementGarage Trader Joe's is WONDERFUL, Buzz! You should give them a try. Lots of unique items, excellent products, reasonable prices, and very friendly-helpful staff.
So the doctor said, "I have some good news and bad news for you Mr. Buzz. Based on your last 2 videos, your chances of living to 100 are up by 26.4%". Buzz replied "Omg doctor! What's the good news". The doctor replied, "Well, our tests conclusively indicate that you can be a grouch".
😂😂😂
My wife just called me that tonight! Can't wait until Sam's club sells female androids.
I'm guessing you read her the ingredients of the French onion dip. 😆
Awsome Deal on Raspberries!
$2.87 wish I could read my writing. Lol
I'm all Sam's club, Wal-Mart and the military commissary.
Do you get cash back building up that you use?
Sam's give you 2% back on all purchases and I'm up to $74 since March so it will pay for the membership and a bit more. I use a Costco credit card for my purchases at Sams Club. Lol
Hi Buzz, Retired with my wife and look at the amount of food you purchase which I assume is for two. We have cut down to breakfast and a late lunch to skip dinner. Are you doing full 3 meals/day?
PS Since getting back to Seattle from overseas after 19 years, we're amazed at the portion size per order at restaurants as it can feed two easily. Is this a new issue or has been around for some time?
I only eat breakfast and dinner. I don't know about my wife. Most restaurants fill your plate I guess.
Keep up your food videos. You have some good suggestions. Keep up the great work!
It's fun to do. Lol
With all that stuff wrapped in plastic at least the olive oil will save you ! Great job keep up the good work ! (joking ) Tim NJ.
I know right? I probably have enough plastic in me to make a yo-yo. Lol
I get the frozen organic blueberries at Sam’s club 3lbs for 7.68. I definitely agree with you stay away from the plastics
It's impossible to get away from plastic. I remember when they went to plastic bags, and I complained about it all the time. Now years later ban the plastic bags. No kidding jackasses.
$2.28 or $2.87, that's a great deal! I love Driscolls berries
Can't read my own writing. Lol. I'm going to have some now. Lol
No food, no sports, no money talk, equals no fun. Guess those people must have a large following on their channels. Life is to short to allow others to tell you what you can talk about on your channel
I thought i was funny and it was on my mind, so I mentioned it. Can never please everybody right?
I love how you are growing the channel. Making our Sams haul Sat. Costco haul next Sat or Sunday. I wonder if my wife and I are your youngest subs? We are 54 and 57. Keep up the great work. Are you folks Aldi shoppers also?
I beat you. I'm 50.
I'm 44 :)
I wish we had Sam’s Club in Toronto
You don't have something similar?
Please keep the food hauls! They are important to me. 😅
Lol
I need a Costco run soon for the Halloween candy it’s right around the corner.
Better hurry. The candy aisle at Sams was crowded.
Don’t throw the salad around! It bruises the lettuce, which shortens the life of the lettuce. The same with bananas.
I didn't know that. The things I learn.......
I shop Sam’s sometimes. I was shocked to see Aldi’s was cheaper on vegetables and fruits that I like. They also have cheaper (& good quality) laundry detergent and paper products. I was surprised
I keep saying I'll go there but I never do. The three times I did go years ago I wasn't impressed but I need to give it another chance. They do have chicken thighs on sale so maybe I'll go Monday.
@@Keepmoving-y7c love Aldi’s and Trader Joe’s. They are German brothers who divided the company when their parents were gone (amicably as far as I know). I love both. Just got groceries at ALDIs 2 days ago.
@@BuzzRetirementGarage ALDIs has some good deals. It’s not a big store like Sam’s or Costco. Likewise on Trader Joe’s, it is pricier but has some good stuff. I like their fried rice, Orange chicken, etc (both frozen). You will see stuff in there that you won’t much see elsewhere, especially the frozen stuff.
@@eclecticvicki8376 I like Trader Joe’s too, but it’s approx 30 mins from my house , so I don’t go there often. I just recently started shopping more frequently at Aldi’s. I was surprised to find English cucumbers cheaper, larger, and organic at Aldies vs the 3 pack at Sam’s. So I buy most organic veggies at Aldi’s and once in a blue moon, at Trader Joe’s.
Another thing I forgot to say, they produce almost all their own products so they control the quality.
Kerry gold is Bobby approved 😂
Really? That's good!
Buzz the hand sanitizer is in a plastic bottle. You may want to change it to glass!
You're not wrong!
We only get our ribs from Sam’s. They’re the best. ❤️🌵
I think I like Costco ribs better but it's a tossup.
Ignore the negativity, not worth it❤. Love watching your videos!😊
Thanks, I appreciate that!
That’s actually a good price for the Feta cheese!
I'm trying to remember what Costco wanted for it. I'll have to look it up.
I like all the videos, who cares what they said?
I don't . Lol
Buzz, love all your videos.
Thanks! That's nice of you to say.
Love your reviews of whatever. If folks don’t like it, why watch ?!
I brought it up because it amused me. Nothing stops me. Lol
I will buy a $60 (I think it is now, not sure) Sam's membership in October so I can go in and get the best and the largest and the *cheapest* pumpkin pie around for $6.98 for Thanksgiving.. So, all together that pie will cost me about $66.98. What a deal, right?
While your there, get 3 cans of whip cream for $8.56. Now your trip for 2 things will be $75.54! Or find someone who has a card and borrow it.
Does your area have a farmers market. Support local and pay less. Getting late in the season but might be worth a look
We do but it may be over now.
You’re like a male Julia Childs of Costco!
Is that a good thing? Lol
@@BuzzRetirementGarage yes-it was meant as a compliment. 😁
Talking about the Food is fine.
But, I want to see you do a Mukbang challenge with all the food you bought.
"What is the Mukbang challenge"?
You cook up all the food and eat until you can't eat no more in front of the viewers 😅
Same as Nathan's hotdog eating contest.
Ummmmm no.
I freeze English muffins. They will last a long time
They last a long time with all the preservatives in them. Lol
Buzz, make and post all the videos you want. What you could do and what some RUclipsrs have done is to create a second channel for videos like this. You keep Buzz's Retirement Garage strictly for retirement advice videos and the food and other non-retirement videos on another Buzz channel.
Thanks for the suggestion. I'll keep that in mind.
I get my gas at Sam's too, then I get money back over time
I use my Costco credit card at Sams. Lol
