I started with an FPV and just purchased an Avata for a more compact form factor for my hikes. I hope I made the right choice. Waiting for it to arrive this Monday.
Definitely recommend you get yourself some master airscrew 4 blade props for your Avata, the slight boost in efficiency makes quite a difference in how it feels to fly especially pulling out of dives and light acro. Looks like some great spots you got for flying.
I bought mine two months ago, and I love it compared to the cinematic drones. I wish the battery lasted longer, but that’s OK by me. I just subscribe to your channel and good luck.
Although I'm not a user or fan of FPV drones I am a fan of Danny Bligh so always good to watch another episode, whatever the topic. Thanks Danny & Merry Christmas.
I love mine and Refresh is ace - don't use it enough to think of changing as the drone can cope with more than my skill level so shouldn't out grow it 😜
Very good quality video and the editing is good too! Especially for 6k subscribers channel. I though that I was watching RUclipsr with 500K+, you deserve more subs.
got rid of mine after two weeks. Would lose video between 500 and 1000 feet in distance not height. Also, the controller caused mine to go out of control twice and crash
Nice video mate. Can you tell me about flying Avata with Action 4, how Avata handle Action 4, battery life? And can you make video about that and your color grading.
I happened to notice this drone at Best Buy. It looks so robust. My only drone experience is with some cheap middle school competition drones (≈$200 each) from 6 years ago. So I’m worried about breaking stuff. But this just looks so good.
I bought the FPV on day 1 and it's the worst drone I've ever owned. It's very twitchy to fly. The camera is on 1 axis for stabilisation and it's antenna for connectivity is appalling. Don't do it. I eventually lost it last year 200m from me with line of sight until i flew it BEHIND a lighthouse and it emergency stopped and a wave took it 😂. Honestly i was over the moon. Hated. I've also got the Avata and truthfully I've hardly flown it. Every chance I've had it's been so windy. My main drones are the Air3 and Air2s. These are fantastic. Good video 👍🏼
Should try flying a home made FPV drone, if you lose signal on one of those it just tuns off ha! What have we learned Lee? - Don't fly it behind a lighthouse ;) Thanks for watching mate!
I haven’t, i suspect it would improve it but not loads. The issue with a gopro on a drone as small as the avata is it becomes so top heavy. On something bigger you would never have a problem. If i get the chance to try it, i’ll let you know
Buy device care from dji. The avata is awesome. Great for people getting into fpv, but want their hand held some, and they don't want to repair a drone constantly. Them graduate to home built drones.
It’s a super cool starter fpv drone, but with the price get something like a nazgul or along the lines of that. With the new avata coming out the drone is becoming obsolete
Hey there! I have a chance to buy a used Avata with 3 batteries, the newer goggles 2 (not the v2), the motion controller (v1), the fpv controller, the charging station and a hard case at a reasonable price (~$900). It’s in good condition apparently and everything works. Also has a bit of care refresh warranty left (less than a year but still). What do you think, should I go for it? It will be my first FPV drone and I own a mini 4 pro.
If it’s in your budget it, do it. Not sure if dji refresh is transferable though, may want to double check. If you can see the drone in use first, i’d recommend that
Yeah, you could mount it for sure. I have a mount which i’ve use in the past for gopros and other action cameras. Could easily switch out the attachment for that and fit one for a phone. Would I recommend it though? 😂😂 depends how confident you are at flying Jason! 🤷🏻♂️😂 Also, how well will it fly. No idea!
Hey I am planning to get one but I am very confused. I need it mostly for commercial work and that is my main goal. Should I get the Avata or a custom drone? I just need to mount a GoPro and have a good signal that's too for now. Any ideas?
If you’ve ever flown fpv before and feel comfortable in doing so, build a drone. If you are entirely new, go for the avata. It can hold a gopro, just don’t expect to be able to do massive moves with it. For any commercial stuff you’re going to be flying in difficult areas, the avata will give you the ability ti comfortably do that much faster. Signal with any will be about the same. Especially with the goggles as you can now run digital systems and use dji transmitters and cameras inside custom drones. But like I say, if you have never flown one. Maybe start with the avata. You can always upgrade. Building a drone can be damn hard, i learned at the very beginning only because back then i don’t even think the phantom was around 😂 i had no choice than to build. Message me on IG if you have any questions mate, happy to chat
@@dronepilotdavidask anything you want 🤌🏻 Briefly i have, anytime i’m coming to land i slap it in to Normal so i can land it like a normal dji drone. Flies no different to manual mode. The motors just work a lot harder. You can hear them working harder

So, what do you think? Do you like it?
I've never even wanted a drone until I watched this video!
😂😂😂 Ask Santa nicely 😉

I’ve heard amazing things about them, i’ll definitely take a look. Are they at a higher pitch than the avata blades?
The level of noise is probably about the same but the pitch is slightly lower so it doesn't sound as whiney.
@@maskedmuchachoordered a set of 3 and 4 blade propellors. Interested to try them both and see how they compare

Editing walk through video please and thank you 😊
Got this a short while ago, great for beginners and those who aren’t too serious with this hobby but overall I do love it.
Amazing to hear!! They have certainly come down in price too so a great way of getting in to the world. Enjoy!!

I can definitely do camera setup and how I colour the footage!

After the last update where it requires a phone connection for RID I barely fly it. PIA. Bought an 03 version cinewhoop.

It’s a little bit like a boat. Really top heavy so don’t bother doing it often.
Video about the colour grading is coming soon!!
I had to give up on it, everytime I go to the field to fly it and practice it doesnt want to takeoff -_-

If you get it with the motion controller to begin with, you should be fine!
Hi, this video was cool and can you tell us the better way to get a cool footage from the existing O3 camera settings
Sure thing, already got a video planned! 🙌🏻 thanks for watching ☺️
You are able to do all movements with motion controller as well? Like POV etc.
Excellent Video! I have an avata on its way, and wondering do you think the avata will be able to endure a gopro hero 12 (not the mini)?
Yeah, it’ll be similar to my experience with the action 4. However, with the weight it’ll have less battery life, less power and fly differently
Yes it is
