Bulgaria was robbed of its claimed land in the first Balkan war even tho Bulgaria contributed the most to winning the war in the first Balkan war. The result is the second Balkan war which was foolishly planned by Bulgaria where they also got teamed up on from Romania as well. The result is a Bulgaria that wants its previous territories + claimed Macedonian and Greek areas as well which Germany was willing to offer Bulgaria in ww1 if Bulgaria defeated Serbia for Austria Hungary.
Funny also because in ww1 Bulgaria performed extremely well and I’d argue it was Germanys strongest ally in terms of troop quality and how much they were able to do with so little. This is also proving their impressive military culture.

As a Bulgarian a lot of things piss me off regarding this topic (all parties involved actually, including the bulgarian politicans etc.) but I also tend to agree that we had to make some concessions. Thessaloniki is an example, considering that Bulgaria had 10k people (greece 22k by the way) out of 140k in the city itself. For what was around it we had claims, but as I said I think concessions should've been made. I wonder if Greece would've agreed to such policy and disregard their serbian alliance/stay neutral @@iwannisbalaouras1687

There will be videos to watch on the decline of the Ottoman empire, but some reasons include:
    - Decline in trade, as the sea route between Europe and India was established, which weakened Ottoman economy.
    - A corrupt and inefficent bureaucracy.
    - Near constant state of war with Austria, Russia and Persia.
    - Rise of nationalism during the 1800s, causing civil unrest in the ethnically diverse empire.

The name Pirot means "settlement with a tower" and is a direct translation of the Bulgarian Pirot, which comes from Pirgot - the tower. In the 16th - 17th centuries, the remains of towers near the city were still visible.
In 1862, the first Bulgarian agricultural mutual fund was founded in the city.[1] During the Renaissance, the city was among the centers of the Bulgarian ecclesiastical and educational struggle. When the Bulgarian Exarchate was founded, the city was the center of the Nisava Diocese, which included the Kazies Pirot and Thorn. Felix Kanitz, who visited the city in the early 1870s, wrote about Pirotcians:
