Thanks for making this one. Can't count the number of games I've played where our team's Schlieffen charged in right at the beginning no matter what the enemy team was doing and got obliterated. I know it's fun to get the secondaries running, but also need to maybe wait for the right opportunity and then go charging in.
Pretty much what I tried today and it works, you just need to be really patient and make sure you are on the correct flank, even thinking about trying out a Brisk build to reposition quicker

Great game! Schlieffen has become my favorite ship in the game, I really love the glass cannon playstyle of her, and the entire line for that matter.
Ive definitely had some struggles with her too, never really considered counter pushing in that manner, will have to try that out! Ive had like 6 games now where Ive gone over 200k damage, shes just an absolute blast and such a rewarding ship when played correctly!
Schlieffen seem fun! Love ur commentary videos. Could u do a video on the Alexander nevsky to show its pros and cons too btw ?
I took a bit of your advice from your earlier Schlieffen video of using it more of a hit and run type ship. I've developed it a bit more though and have been playing more like a kiting ship, sort of. Lately I've been setting myself up in a kiting position near a cap where I can be dark and just wait til the enemy team pushes into me. It's the best way I've found to collapse a flank for the enemy and take out multiple ships. And then I'll push to the other side if they are losing. Still working on bettering my playstyle with it though.
Schieffen is similar to ships like Scharnhorst, Odin, Pommern. They share the torps, long range secondaries (nerf), the relatively low HP pool, and more. The playstyle that you explain in this video is indeed the best tactic for ships of this line.
I have chosen commander skills for all out secondaries but ship mods for main guns...accuracy and reload speed. Im going to also try range a while too. Full secondary build is hilarious but I get better results building for mains and using secondaries late in game for clean up

This ship is a battlecruiser it's designed for blitzkrieg style game play. She's designed to overwhelm a team's push especially in a crossfire situation especially when the secondaries open up

The Schlieffen can be a glass cannon if it is played wrong. When I first got my Schlieffen I would look for and rush into a few ships thinking I would blow them away with the help of my torps and powerful secondaries. I don't do that anymore because I like to stick around for the end game :-0
Yup, these kinds of ships are always better the later the game goes,
this is exactly what i discover after few games with it .. this ship will teach you how to read the map and when to push .. yesterday i had an amazing carry with her in a div with GK :) 246K damage
I usually either try to hurry to island cover and wait or I let the team head ahead so I can see where everyone is at. It’s hard to wait but you gotta. Anytime I get too aggressive I die quick
Do you think the rudder shift mod would be more advantageous than the propulsion mod on the Tier 7-9 boats leading up to Schlieffen?
i had many games doing this tactic in a way, where i look for potential pushes, but by the time I am able to switch flanks, my entire team dies and i am 1v4 almost at all times. I keep getting braindead teams who try full turns in front of 3-5 bbs.
This ship is awesome but it miss a key feature in any brawler: turtleback armor. Its secondaries are awesome tho and the 420mm guns pack a punch at medium-close range. But it's not that forgiving in angles as the main German BBs. And with the 12.6km concealment it's a great ship to ambush enemies.

u gotta try the captain skill Brisk on this ship. Trust me, this will make the playstyle like yours even more effective.
cant figure out how ur enemy ship template get smaller if they are not in line of sight ... i checked every settings / mod on modstation + mod video on aslain ... Help plz , i really want it :P
Add perk to 10% of max speed that will be help Schliffen even more.

I like the cruisers and battleships, and many times i push in waaaaay to fast and die. So to learn to have some patience and read the map, can make you live longer.
I play DD's. Their manuverability makes them a tough torp target
The not over committing early and over extending early pretty much applies to all ships. Cause really a game can be thrown just by your teammates dying early cause they pushed too early in the kill zone getting fired upon by half the enemy team. Then rage in chat cause no one helped him.
On 2ndary build ships like schlieffen specially that she is more squishy. Its even more pronounced cause captains usually be like I HAS 12.5KM 2NDARY MUST GET IN RANGE AND RAIN 2NDARY. Then they died 3 mins into the game.
So far I have seen many schlieffen players do the get in close for 2ndarys and get bbq'd to death or get pen by enemy AP.
It really is about understanding the enemy movement, their push and seeing if you can push to them without dying.
Isn't this kind of a corrolarry to British BB play where you want to quickly position on the flank of the enemy push?
Honestly this is what GK was when I played her correctly when the KM BBs were first released. Remember when Tirpitz and Scharnhorst were released, people would say, "Merchant raiders!!" in chat and charge forward and 2 brawling BBs could absolutely wreck an entire flank. I know things have changed, and thus GK has suffered in the change, but it's nice to see another KM BB filling the position with better pros and cons for that role GK tries to be. I dont even know what people try to make the GK these days, a traditional sniper with bad rifles, when it was never supposed to fill that role in the first place.
I do this in Ruprecht, find a island, or spot where I can wait, once the enemy commits, I commit, but you need support, had a 4 kill 220k game and we lost...only 5 kills from our team and I nearly had my kraken...the skill in this game sometimes amazes me...🙈
Isn't the Schlieffen really a battlecruiser, which isn't quite the same as a battleship. In real life battlecruisers were designed to take on cruisers, and not battleships in direct battle. The British tried to fight battleships with their battlecruisers, Jutland and the Denmark Strait, and both times with disastrous results to their battlecruisers.
aside from another Schlieffen would you recommend a complimentary type of ship to div with this playstyle? Friend plays the Schlieffen, want to make a stronger team
destro with the longest smoke so u can secondary for like 2 minutes without beeing detected ( as long as u dont use main battery )
Make the enemy come to you. That's the strat. You can do classic brawls in some situations, but most of the time you let them come to you.
Wait, did you shoot at the Repu even once either? That's 80k secondary kill.
FYI, Neustrashimy is always pronounced like it is a Japanese ship (Neu-stra-shim-y), four syllables. It is pronounced Neu-stras-himy, three syllables.

Playing a Schliffen boils down to kiting away at a proper angle or push into a flank if it seems doable. That is how you play her.
I play it with max concealment and push a flank. Surprise BRRRRRT.
Just wanna point out, 1:35 was an illegal move, totally.
I tried her last night in CB and i was nose in angled behind the cap, out came an enemy Kremlin 13k away fired a savlo in my nose and took 50k health off me :(

Gk´s! Schliefen needs to play arround islands, using that nice 12,4km concealment. Its way to soft to stand against tanky targets at range. But fun wise? The schliefen ofc! :)
@@cookiesupervisor2211 Sorry to disappoint you but 12 GK will win against 12 Schlieffen's.GK just has stupidly a lot of armour where Schlieffen's secondaries cannot chew it all at once
One GK has all it can handle with a charging Hindenburg......
@@MrTrool323 I have both ships , GK have more guns , but those are shit from far you are lucky if you hit often , from middle and short range you can do dmg ... but I had few game in schlieffen , when I got double strike, and few games when I had 3 close quaters expert in one battle ! , and schliefeen guns can citadel far targets , I 100% sure that 12 Schlieffens would won against 12 GK is 913.200 vs 1.269.600 , so yes GK have 355.800 health more , but DPM is on Schlieffen side , so battle start GK detection range 15.9km , SCH 12.6km , so GK need to come close to see anyone , they came in SCH detection range they will start shoot , they wont do much dmg 5k , cause SCH can tank salvo from GK ,SCH wont do much to GK either around 5 k too, to next GK salvo SCH will be closer 8km again 5k GK salvo , SCH is get closer and just use torps , win battle for SCH , we can go to many scenarios and in every game SCH will be more OP ship 12 vs 12 yes other GK can target one SCH ... but if they target that one , other SCH that they dont shoot will get closer , and SCH have 4 torpedo launchers = 16 torps , is like enemy GK fought with 1 BB armed with 8 16 inch guns and 2 Z23 armed with 4 sets of torpedo launchers , this not fair battle , Schlieffen would win .
I have 22k battles in wows and if WG would do ranked 1 vs 1 on T10 , BB I would chose would be Schliefen .
There is a bigger ammount of stupid ppl in random battles at the moment, thats the biggest problem. you can see it in the mm as there are 300+ bbs and nearly nothing else in the que.
The Ohio is still my fav BB tho

This Line Main guns suck sometimes on 4km IT cant even hit 5k damage. secondary is great.
I can’t do this in Asia server bc everyone has god tier aiming skill lol.
Schleiffens secondarys is just so broken and those 4x4 13,5km torps.

Watching you play this like a normal battleship is breaking my heart. Its a brawler that you still play sit back and shoot with. What a waste of a good ship
i would suggest anyone not to get this ship if you are playing in the SEA server. This server is notorious for its campy players, and playing a secondary ship like the Schlieffen means 19/20 games you will either you will be up behind an island 10 km ahead of your nearest ally battle ship, stuck there for a good 12 minutes, that's if you are lucky the enemy cant focus fire you. most of the players will rather lose the game with full hp than trying to win. even in ranked most of your teammates are playing to conserve their star than playing to win.
I ran out of credits, so i cannot buy it for now.
someday wg will nerf this & RU CV lines because they hate seeing people having fun
Hey PQ. How she has relatively good armor? Could you explain that? I think Schlieffen has worst armor in the game even Conqueror's armor beats her. She cannot tank neither HE nor AP. WG just ruined her HP pool and armor just because her secindaries to balance. Lets compare her with Ohio. Ohio armor is way better, ohio shells way better, Ohio HP pool is way better. Secondaries are similar except schlieffen 32 mm pen capability. What kind of balancing is that? Just give her a little bit of tankinss at least ohio level.
