the hydro has always cracked me up on that ship
with how big and clumsy you are in it, the hydro really only serves to show you that you're going to die here soon lol
the worst is when you ALMOST dodge all the torps and one always seems to hit the bow or stern. its definitely hard to dodge torps in the GK. and now subs make it a nightmare.

There's a 1 point skill that reduces -10% the TRB cooldown (next to liquidator). It's really useful for only one point + flag you get around 30s reduce in CD of the consumable. For me a must have
Its basically 2 Shimas attached together and has invisible torps, I'm sure BB players are gonna enjoy this.
(I'm a DD main and even I think this is disgusting, then again I think most super-ships are disgusting)
Nope its shit. It has 6.3 concelment and not much better dpm than YY. Also big and clumsy. YY is way more balanced and usefull ship. 4 turrets (2 front, 2 back) and its worse than 3 as YY, cos forward you have just half of your dpm. You can also have legendary module for YY than you will have concelment 6.5 but around 220k dpm on much smaller ship than Kunming. Lot of cruisers and some BBS have hydro so you will not land as many torps as you think. But yeah if enemy dds are potatoes and die soon than maybe you can be more usefull in torping...
@vitezslavlorenc3479m an ignored the invisible torps and he fact that probably by the time the bb or hydro/radar cruiser sees those torps they would probably be very hard to dodge
@@Sande1976 Well, of course, every hydro cruiser has that hydro just for decoration and he certainly won't turn it on when he knows that this boat is there. Which he knows, because with the 6.3 concealment and how clunky the ship is, a lot of dd will over spot you and kill you. It has DPM on guns like Velos which is a tier 9 DD. And even against that you will suffer, because he can over spot you, he can use torpedoes and you can't, and besides, he is much smaller and more agile.

shima has been powercrept so badly. It probably needs a torp speed and dmg buff. Maybe torp reload booster as well.
That's not a wall of torps at this point that's a fortress of torpedoes

I like the tip where you mention looking at the BB’s rear turret to try and better predict an upcoming turn. That one definitely got me thinking 🤔

if wargamming put opt out buttons in settings to stay out of games with CV, subs, and super ships i bet 90% would click out of CVs and subs, and 70% would click out of tier 11s too.
the jump in power from tier 8 to 10 was bad, but the jump from tier 9s to tier 11s is just insane. i would rate most of the new SSs as a tier 12 and at tier 11, i would put a lot of the resource ships that are so devistating to play against as a tier 8 or 9.
Good DD advice on staying alive instead of standing ground. Something I need to put into practice. That and not hanging out in smoke too long and eating torps 😂

Liquidator and Demolition spec seems better than main battery to me as you'll get so much more changes to do DOT damage. Esp as liquidator will get people to burn DC as soon at they get hit with torps.
Reload booster for torpedoes is the most absurd thing in this game
Your videos always stood out (apart from gameplay quality) with picture quality.
I'm really curious what machine are you using. I bought a really nice monitor recently and it helped me realise machine is lacking. So I was curious what would be the minimum to get such nice picture out of the game.
I love playing DDs and especially torpedo DDs but this state of Cunming is really not good for the game. It has same amount of torps as Shima by default, but they are only 800 meters detection instead of 2.0 km (seen from the moon) and with the torpedo consumable you can launch 30 of them, that's way too much. I already thought that YY and Jinan had many since they added torp reload consumable.
For whatever reason... WG decided a while back while gun focused power creep was bad, torpedo power creep is just fine... and then we got 90 knot torp missiles, and then two lines of cruisers that could put 40 in the water or hit across half the map, and now a Shima analong with TRB and low reaction time. While the torpedo creep may have been more subtle compared to the playerbase's visceral response to Smolensk, the effect on the game has been much more pronounced than any fire spammer.
Also, WG's pivot towards the Asia server with Pan Asia bias (that's a new one) certainly feels real since the asia server seems more ready to consume this new direction that NA and EU don't seem to like...

I love the pan Asian DDs. Consider the following with the unique commander:
15 torps
Reload booster - 15 more
(If 6 hits and commander skill triggers)
Reload booster again 15 more
Then about 2 minutes for another normal 15 salvo.
Within 5 minutes you can spit out 60 torps.
I’ve done it with Chung Mu, but it’s only 40 total torps.
Also if you get combat scout to trigger, which is not difficult if you are playing as a torp boat, the gun reload becomes decent enough to take on other DDs
Not seeing the Kunning in shop or in regular japanese fleet listing. Was it limited time? Also, im on ps4, not a pc, so i realize it might be a pc only ship or something. Just curious

Actually it is more like a Somers with DP guns, enhanced AA, deepwater torps and a rapid reload.
A div of these would be worse than a div of Kitakamis as you can't exactly really see these torps until it's too late, unless you have hydro.

these super ships can be a lot of fun, but unless you have a big game and use credit boosters you lose credits so often. WG really needs to adjust the service cost.
You're right they do need adjusted... to cost 2x more than they currently do.
I dont really agree. I think until they have full T11 games, playing these ships should be a luxury every once in a while.
The Pan Asian DD guns are a bit lackluster compared to it's American breathren.

In the Meta, lots of the cruisers and BBS have hydro, so that negates the advantage of deep water. Also most tier X and super dds will outgun you, so it’s not as broken as you think.

A shima with rlb is a good way to describe the ship, but this is where the ship confuses me. As a torp boat, shouldn't it be stealthy? A shima is 5.6km (?), I think. This ship is 6.3km, which is pretty poor for dd's at T10 that aren't pure gunboats. Also, why does it get 8 guns? Its lack of concealment and 8 guns look like a gunboat; however, it has horrible reload. Plus, it has the aforementioned very un-gun boat like torps. It is a super confused ship.

I fail to see how this ship adds anything to the long term health of the game. Regular players are increasingly becoming little more than XP pinatas for the gimmick ships du jour.

Ships like this are just going to encourage BB players to camp from spawn

Yep. You angle yourself agaisnst 15 torps only to have 15 more on your new broadside position. Just too much.
For me this is a bad addition. People already dont want to push into any supership, much less a ship that can throw out 30 deep water torps. Heck, people dont push into a shima, and it gets 15 torps with relatively high detect. This will just promote stale gameplay
WGs plan is to make these ships (tier 11) the only ones that people want to play because they eat every other ship alive. if everyone is playing the SS that lose credits most games, then they will be able to con some players into paying cash for credits so they can afford to keep playing them.
people complain about Cv and subs but nothing stalls the game out like these walls of skill theres just no way you can risk pushing with that around.
All of the above should be nerfed, not just torp wall, if that's what your saying.
