For people wondering, those remixes are basically like old school midi files from the early internet days. The originals might not exist anymore, but they shouldn't be too hard to replicate, that was the base sound font I remember from my 90s Windows computer.
@@mikeax24 I keep meaning to track them down eventually. I assume someone has made a soundfont or a simple VSTi plugin or something. Just try searching for a "midi file soundfont" or "midi file vst" or "midi file samples" I guess? That's what I'm going to do. Someday.
I don't think these are remixes, they might be the original demo tapes composers made on their workstation before converting them to Famicom music format. It makes a lot of sense when you take into account that the instrument set varies greatly from game to game, beside all the TV promo ads source materials being used on the video.
I'm pretty sure the music themes on this video are not remixes, they're probably the original demo tapes Rockman composers made on their workstations before converting them to Famicom music format. It makes a lot of sense when you take into account that the instrument set varies greatly from game to game, beside all the TV promo ads source materials being used on the video. This is early 90's era, there's great chance that back then Capcom had access to all those music tapes, film footage, and even source code for the classic NES Megaman saga (hence we have gameplay video with sound FX but without the original music). Sadly, all that cool stuff might have being lost to time forever :(
The background music is something like an "Arranged verison" there is some way to get those versions. above all the version of Chgarge Man is incredible
So Star Crash was not going to be a shield but a tracking weapon and you could change Gyro Attack's trajectory plenty of times... Gravity Hold was still Flash Stopper. Wonder if at any point Napalm Bomb was an useful weapon... For all the flak Power Stone and Charge Kick get, you could at least show off with them. Differences: Octopus in Wave Man's has a tentacle out of the water The Metool that splits in three behaves differently Enemies at the start of Crystal Man's stage are different Mystery tank location (always thought it was "Mega Tank") placement is different - perhaps at that point Beat hadn't been made or implemented The tube layout at the start of Wave Man's stage was different
You know... Gravity Hold’s earlier behaviour actually esplains the weapons name: it holds enemys in place for you to attack them (does it have the same name in the japanese version?), though this function may have only made for this video... Also, it’s been a while since I last played the game, but are all the enemy palettes and backgrounds the same? At 04:52 was that background object over the Suzy G always there?
That part of the background is the same as the final version - in fact, it appears to stand out *more* in the final game. ruclips.net/video/tO6ZBTpxxCs/видео.html
Beat is clearly meant to have been in the game, since he's in the little cartoon at 7:14. But the letter is not where it normally would be in Gyroman's stage, so they hadn't necessarily decided on how you'd get him. And it looks like the beta Star Crash is using Beat's programming, so maybe they hadn't decided on exactly what he'd do yet, either.
Well at some point something must had happened for them to make that beta star crash weapon become beat, perhaps they wanted a new shield weapon but dint wanted to make the older existing idea go to waste, so they made that decision of making beat
I really wish they’d release the music in the background to the public. Seems like the tracks are only made for promotional material like commercials and preview videos
So from what I can tell in terms of special weapon differences in the earlier versions of 5, Star Crash was going to be a projectile that homes in on enemies, Gravity Hold was originally going to stop time the same as Flash Stopper did in 4, and Gyro Attack would be influenced in mid-air more (but looks incredibly frustrating to control at the same time as Mega Man)
It Reminds Me A CPS1/Prototype CPS2 Version of Napalm Man! Nostalgic Nostalgic Nostalgic! Also Mega Man 3 Boss Theme, & Wily Fortress Theme on Rockman World 3/Mega Man III Game Boy Promo.
If I hadn't seen this video, I would never have found out so many changes in the game (except for the octopus tentacle in the Wave man stage, I already knew that one).
Wait, we were going to have similar to flashman's time stop on gravity man's power? Damn capcom why you need to change that, the beta version of it is really awesome
Interesante el uso del Gyro Attack como arma rastreadora y el Gravity Hold como un Time Stopper 3.0. Lo que más me intriga es ese remix del Dr. Wily Stage 1 de Mega Man 3 durante la emisión de World 3.
Interesting that the Game Boy footage is from what looks like a Super Game Boy despite those not being publicly available yet. (Correct me if I’m wrong)
Panda-s1 strictly for this promo tape, in fact for the time period this video was made (early 90's), I hope these were previously conceptual recordings before they were handed to the programmers
Mega Man: What?! Dr. Light was kidnapped?! Narrator: Proto Man was all behind. Mega Man: Proto Man, why...?! Proto Man: Hmph. Narrator: The Hope will lost, who will save the world from destruction? Introducing, Mega Man 5: Blues' Trap!?
