    • @LyneaSilver
      @LyneaSilver 4 года назад +20

      He failed the hand release push-ups, technically, but the Army guy didn't tell him all of the requirements. Your feet can't be more than the width of one of your feet apart, and you have to fully extend and lock your arms when you do the T. Both of these things disqualified the push-ups he did. You also have a specific amount of rest time authorized between each event, and we don't know if he got that rest time, or if he got too much rest time (which would disqualify him if he did). But we'll just trust them on the last point.

    • @RyanELemon
      @RyanELemon 4 года назад +6

      @@LyneaSilver also the rest position was wrong. There is no rest position as per FM 7-22
      The only way you "rest" is by slowly moving your hands out when in the prone position. It's not the plank at all. And in the Deadlifts you cannot move your hands or reposition them. For Leg Tucks there's a certain diameter bar that's used for a reason so they screwed him there but otherwise it wasn't bad at all. Just slightly off what the Army standard is

    • @CailinnNoT

      @@TakenByStormEquestrian i dont know if they told you this but 1: grenades arent 15, or even 10 pounds in weight and 2: if a grenade gets thrown at you, your first reaction wouldnt be throwing it back with your back at the enemy (or throwing it back in the first place) is would most likely be to get to a safe place. You dont know if someone held a grenade for 2 seconds before throwing it and it took 2 seconds to get to you, knowing terrorists, most of them dont have proper training and probably use unconventional tactics like cooking a grenade etc

    Whoever told SPC Kellum you only have 7 preparatory movements on the SPT needs retrained. Nowhere in the regs does it say that. Also, the starting position for the HRP is defined as "index fingers inside the shoulders," NOT "thumbs on the nipples." SDC instructions, there is nothing in the regs about "minimal movements in the joints" at all. It is strongly discouraged to move your arms a bunch and yank the sled repeatedly, but not outright disallowed. I count 7 correctly performed leg tucks, due to no contact on the 8th. I'm also suspecting this ACFT attempt ran longer than 90 minutes, which is in itself a voiding of the results. BUT. In the interest expedience, I'll let it slide. Not gonna calculate the final score like I did last time since it's not a large enough discrepancy to warrant it, but I will say that even if your grader hadn't given you a couple extra points you shouldn't have, you still would've passed the ACFT according to Black (Heavy) standard. Congratulations, sailor

    If you can pass the spongebob squarepants fitness test...
    1. burger flipping as many as you can underwater
    2. scream without passing out for 5 min straight underwater
    3. eat 10 patties underwater
