This musical is super underrated, and there are barely any animatics around, so I decided to pull a Thanos and said "Fine, I'll do it myself"

A bit of context for those unfamiliar with the anime/ musical:
The character is L, an extremely smart if a bit unorthodox detective that is famous for solving the most complicated of cases. Here he is seen trying to figure out whatever he can about a serial killer named Kira. The problem is, Kira apparently can kill without using weapons or leaving any traces behind, as all his victims die of heart attacks.

Holy shit I love this. The detail. The perspective. The SHADING. Godlike. I’m glad there’s someone out there that still likes this musical, you portray L perfectly, in his stance, his expressions, his room looks so perfect for him. The anatomy, especially the hands, are amazing, this was extremely entertaining to watch and left me wanting an animatic for the entire play in your style, ofc that’s a gigantic workload and would never happen, but a man can dream. In conclusion??? This is so pog homie. You truly have an immense amount of talent and you’ve earned a subscriber.

whoa, this is surprisingly dynamic! I really enjoy the way you presented L, his expressions and his posture. The cockiness, curiosity, and determination of his character really shown through. It's excellent! The shading was cool too, and I was a big fan of the props you incorporated. Didn't shy away from hands, or unique angles either! I'm impressed /g :]

It's actually my second time doing an animatic! the Death Note musical quickly became one of my biggest obessions, and I so want to do more in the future!

This is AWESOME! I rlly enjoy the pacing of the animatic, like at first L seems so calm a stoic and then he really gets into it, it shows just how excited L gets when a new case is on, especially with as interesting as this one... Great job!

listen, I love this, thank you so much. I've been getting angry lately because of how underrated this musical is, as for me, Death Note's music and vocals are up there with Heathers and Chicago. Only after I see this musical performed live (or perform it myself goddammit) will I die peacefully.

@@CamilaOsunaART Have you heard of broadway backwards? I'd really enjoy genderbending Death Note (selfishly of course, playing light sounds rad and if possible I would do so at any cost). I know it'll probably never happen but sometimes I dream of a day when a lead in DN is accessible to me and people who want to play these roles. I've said this before but the music is incredible!!

the dramatic shading, the way the animatic is staged, the expressions, it’s all so good. Even the cutting out of the music where he states “a high schooler…” and then belts out the ending line just like it’s supposed to happen on stage…this is so underrated, I mean it

Damn, this is really good. I love the way you portrayed the character, and the scene. Like, it's just looking at a computer and papers, but the way you animated it makes it tense and seriously awesome looking. I don't know enough about drawing and art to be any more specific, but I do know that it's really good. I've subscribed and I'm looking forward to the next one you make : )
