1:39 This is the true seed to Kira's existence. Not just anger at an unfair imperfect world that needs to change. Wanting to be the next Robespierre with a new guillotine.
Damn! Its not very hard (actually pretty easy) to imagine Light in a political setting. Look at how he got the whole class to sing in his favor. He's confident in his arguments and also openly willing to speak up (and manipulate his audience), then there's the megalomania & narcissism (traits commonly found in politicians). I can easily see him getting elected for whatever he signed for.
DUDE MAKE THIS A LIVE THING, TAKE MY GODDAMN MONEY. (i don't have money actually, but I NEED this in real life reenaction video, not just as a theatre performance, the transitions are SO GOOD - like the police officers in the street and the father closing the curtains, moving on to the "family" part, watching the TV and moving on to the "afraid to walk the streets" part. Just so, so well-structured, including camera angles, blocking, details like having the text written down in japanese... Really, i love this so much.)
Finally, the musical did what the anime and manga did not, giving a character a genuine interest in justice outside of the established norms of society. And shit I love it.
hi just discovering this now during my Death Note Musical Autistic Obsession Arc and it's GOOD STUFF. the lack of awareness around this show is a crime Kira should punish
Amazing! The beats are very well done, and I could see the rising tension build throughout. It reminds me a bit of the staging in the actual musical, but you made the students even more involved
If i had listened to this song when i was in middleschool i def would have agreed with light, and in some points i still do but, again he forgets the humanity of even criminals. Yes we have created a flawed system that needs to be reconstructed because it is NOT fair or equal due to the fact that their is inherent prejudice present based of race, gender identity or income status. But light is veru wrong here, we should NOT go back to black in white, i see he wants clarity but at the same time this means more of that prejudice and unfairness. It is important to ask “why did a individual murder’ while still respecting the hurt the victims are going through
While i agree with what he's saying, the system thats already been established isn't going anywhere. Everyone is too comfortable with it, and it benefits too many. Unless the new system is given a chance to work, we aren't going anywhere
Yo, this is absolutely AMAZING and Ive just been watching it over and over and over again lol. Amazing details and I especially adore the myrderer's face fading into Light's. All of the transitions are Impeccable!
You should do animatic on, feed the machine, give and take, stronger than the whiskey, and Good people by poor mans poison an underrated band with some really poignant songs that are not nearly as well known as they should be.
This song could straight out of Starship Troopers book (not the movie, which went in its own direction.) The class on citizenship and civil responsibility, except that the teacher's rebutal is merely a Socratic token opposition with sarcasm.
Hey guys, they say Kira is someone in the Kanto region. You think it was the guy in our class who launched a huge musical number about how unfair the world is?
1:39 This is the true seed to Kira's existence. Not just anger at an unfair imperfect world that needs to change. Wanting to be the next Robespierre with a new guillotine.
Love how much the students do instead of only singing, they have their own choreography! This is so well made, I love it!
Thank you very much!
The way the teacher ran out of there 💀
2:06 I like the detail of the murderer's face fading into light's. Great job!
Holy shit the ‘Let the corporations make the regulations’ as the yen is slid between hands is amazing

I freaking love Jeremy Jordan he's one of my all-time favorite actors and singers❤❤

Thank you for your kind words!! :^)
Omg omg the expressions/poses/camerawork are amazing
Thank you so much! :D
That poor teacher didn't expect his class to start breaking out into song about the unfairness of society.
2:27 Ironically I always imagine it being Misa saying that, showing deep down she had the same 'caff from the wheat' mentality.
same lol
Finally, the musical did what the anime and manga did not, giving a character a genuine interest in justice outside of the established norms of society. And shit I love it.
I'd be afraid too if I was standing in front of a class and they all started singing and standing on their desks.
how does this not have more love??? anyways great animatic and great work!! keep it up
Thank you!

Thank you! Happy to feed into it :^)
incredible. great use of choreography and staging
Thank you very much! :)
I am thriving, I am LIVING, and I am smilling like a fool for someone actually making an animatic for the musical AND being this song! LOVE IT!!!
Thank you so much! :D I'm glad you liked it
this is so professionally made omg i loved the transitions & the hints to light not being as just as he seems AAA so good
This is why we don't bring up politics in class love your work btw😌👏
Ahaha I'd forgive them if they could sing their argument like Jeremy Jordan. Thanks!
This is why politics SHOULD be brought up in class.
This is so underrated! Especially love the composition of the shots.
This truly is one of the best animatics I've ever seen. Thank you so much. All the expressions, perspectives and transitions are excellent
Dude, you've got me emotional 😭 Thank you so much!! I'm glad you liked it!

Thank you very much!! It's been a while, so I don't remember, but I believe I did reference the staging from the musical. :-)

THE GOOSEBUMPS I JUST GOT?? THIS IS SO GOOD???
This is insanely expressive and detailed! Love how you characterized each of the students and you even had the patience to draw well done backgrounds
@@andifishgallery9400 That’s kind of you to say. Thank you! :-)
This is so amazing! The pacing, visual storytelling, and thought that went into this is so good!!!!
Thank you so much :') This is a very kind comment

Dude this is awesome love how the teacher just went out the door like nope there on his side i,ve lost control
I love this so much!! This is really great
My toxic trait is thinking I could do this.
I literally got chills running down me while watching this
This is so good! I'm here before this blows up!
This is so well made omg, subbed
I'm definitely interested! One of the ones with L would be fun. :^) And thank you!

This is really good!! Great job!! 🔥
Remarkable art, great song choice and really well done.
I’m excited to see what other art you’re working on.
Thank you very much!
Meanwhile in America
JD: The only place Heathers and Martha’s can get along is in Heaven! Chaos is what killed the Dinosaurs! Our Love is God!
I love how we all agree the voice of the teacher is the voice of an old balding guy
2:00 Adam Balwick, I don't fucking believe it was an accident.
Fabulous animatic
AMAZING!
the poor teacher bro imagine lmao
Imagine when he tries to explain this to others. 😂
This needs more attention what

Check the songs out and see if you wanna do one please!
I'll give them a listen. Thanks for the suggestions!
@@number4privetdrive So...?
@@Asriel_Dremr Not really my jam, but I appreciate the suggestions.
For some reason, I imagine Joseph Seed (from "Far Cry 5") singing this as he begins his rise to power in Hope County.

YOOOW THIS IS SO AWESOME 😳😳😳💞
This is a very good video
LOOOOOOVE THIS
Hey guys, they say Kira is someone in the Kanto region.
You think it was the guy in our class who launched a huge musical number about how unfair the world is?
me: oh i don’t know that there’s much to animate here
me, not ten seconds in: oH
also ahh when they all stood on their desks omg that was so good
Pretty awesome work. Except I found the teacher getting scared and running out at the end to be a tad overdramatic.
commenting so yt would give me more Death Note animatics
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏😌
Will there be more DN content?
Maybe! I grappled a lot if I wanted to do one that had corresponding scenes in the anime/manga, so if I get over that I likely will haha.
Oh my, was this inspired by Dead Poets Society?)
It wasn't, or at least not intentionally so. But I see the resemblance. :-)
Can I translate this and post it on RUclips?
No, please do not repost this video. If you'd like to post your translation here in the comment section, I can add them as a caption.
This might sound rude, but do you happen to be Japanese
No, I'm not Japanese
@@number4privetdrive Sō desu ka. I was just wondering given the Japanese in the video.
@@samueloak1600 Just some intense google searching haha :)
