This manager needs to go to the big leagues. He is the man.
He is wearing Tim Teufel’s number and has his nose. That’s a lifelong professional NY Met. I have his autograph on a baseball from when I was 7 years old. He was our third base coach in 2015 when we lost in the WS. He will always be with the Mets (minors or majors). And he was a utility infielder when we won in 1986.

Edward Shaw Lol. This coach seems like a good motivator and locker room guy. Although Callaway has been criticized for being to nice and not tough enough so maybe the nice guy motivational speech managing style is not effective for the Mets at least this season.

Albuquerque Dukes, Crandall was our manager. During a team meeting he points at me and said " I have no idea why you are here, I do not want you pitching for me any more
" I thought I was gone. He then said" BUT, LA wants you there in the morning, take this plane ticket and get out of here" After so many years, I remember that day like it happened yesterday.
I remember when I got my plane ticket. At the end of minor league camp in Mesa, AZ, I was released. It was a $950 one way ticket, they paid more for that ticket that what I made monthly the season before! Congratulations on your call up.

That is AAA too. This location the owners did not want to upgrade facilities and the Nats left. They since have had to upgrade for 2020/2021 mandated by the MLB to keep a team affiliations.
@@natsman7262 it’s really who just wants to spend the money. Take this for example. I was a clubbie for the Durham Bulls. AAA affiliate for Tampa. And as you might know. Tampa doesn’t have a lot of money because no one goes to the fucking games. But the Bulls clubhouse is fucking massive. Full weight room. Kitchen. Several offices. Literally everything. But then you have the Mets who have way more money than Tampa and they give Syracuse a shit clubhouse.

My 1st year in AAA i hit .294, 28dbs, 10tps, 13hr, 64rbi, and 31sbs. Was 2nd in at bats, runs scored, and 1st in assist in the outfield. Didn't get the call up. That being said, I still felt good for the kid getting his 1st call up to the big leagues!!! Congrats kid!!!
I got to meet Tony at a coaches seminar in AZ 2019. He showed us this video. What player would not want to play for this guy! Great coach and he talks just like this all the time..lol...F- bombs all over the place. Passionate about what he does!
He would go on to be on the roster for 11 games get 4 AB with 3K and released later that winter, he now plays for Seattle where he is doing decent.

At least he's doing better than Callaway. On the ineligible list until at least 2023 for his actions and behavior as the Mets manager
