I can’t believe how long I’ve been playing and completely missed the importance of understanding what the intervals actually do, really good lesson here. I’ve heard it in playing by ear but this lesson was so good. Thanks man.

I’ve only recently discovered you and I gotta say this has changed my life. Sounds dramatic I know but you rock. The way you integrate the theory into practical playing and the emphasis on feeling and listening and really taking the time to understand what you’re doing - the story telling using sentence construction and narration as analogies to how one plays the notes and constructs melody etc - just blows me away, and i really want to thank you for it.

Honestly, I've strayed from this channel of late, not because of the content or the instructor, I've just been interested in other topics/hobbies. But I have to say, without a doubt, watching this video has made me really appreciate what an excellent instructor you are, and that your videos have made me understand and truly learn what I'm seeking for in playing guitar. Thank you Stich, your channel has become my 'home'/'root note' to come back to when I want to further my playing. You are appreciated!

I've been using call and response to (hopefully) make my solos sound more musical than a scale exercise. Every now and then I would stumble upon what felt and sounded like movement and tension - and I liked it - but those happy accidents were not easily reproduced. I watched this vid, grabbed a guitar, and was able to *intentionally* create both within a couple minutes! Awesome stuff! Thank you so very much!
