I got it and couldn't be more happy about it. I also waited because this fits perfectly on my desk. I play the keys a bit and didn't want the smaller ones. I love how easily it integrates with FL and works with stock plugins. Downside is the tiny screen and no "on/off" button.

I do like that style of mouse, although I don't use it anymore. I liked the kind where the ball is on one side and you move it with your thumb.
Yeah dope video, when this board initially was released, the videos I saw did not explain the differences from the other versions in detail..... yeah mane, you always do great product videos.
So, I said the same thing about the screen, as I have the FL37, however, it's my thinking that they didn't go to a bigger screen because of the cost. The price point on these controllers is super cheap, the 61 keys are less than $300. That's probably why. The thing I don't like about the FL37 is the default octaves when you load up a VST, depending on the size of the kit, you have to find the kit and snare start point on some instruments. So, I'll probably do the 49 for those new features.

Would love the option to cycle through the new samples etc in the cloud with my Akai fire. I use the FLkey37 and love it :) Just wish deep down I waited for the 49 for the faders. Great vid man...PCG

I comped the 61 last week I use it on my mpc because I needed some keys and I can use fl studio when I want to switch up it work kinda ok with the mpc
what happens when you click the "Custom" button. Does this allow to to map buttons, pads, sliders and pots to whatever you like in FL Studio? Would be great to know a little more about this (i've found the section in the instruction manual on this, but would love a little more info on it).
I got mine a few weeks ago. I'm a heavy Maschine user but I still mess with FL Studio here and there. GREAT REVIEW!

Great review - I totally agree about the screen - I hope the new Arturia KeyLab Mk.3 series (which you recently reviewed) will encourage other manufacturers to follow suit and put larger displays back on controllers again! Other than that, it works great with FL - I bought one after watching your review - and I really pleased with it. Talking of FL Studio, would love to see a video with your thoughts on the new features in the latest 21.2 beta… 😉

Rotary knobs and Motorized faders are the best. Especially Rotary knobs. I would rather mix with things that be reset regardless of their previous position. Same with faders. I find these things unhelpful when you load a new project with different parameters. Why don’t more keyboard companies make motorized faders and rotary encoders the standard?
It’s fire but it doesn’t just hook up you gotta download the driver everyone. The keys will work but the other functions will not unless you get the driver

There is no sequencing that I can see? Whats up with that?

@@solowkeytv I'm thinking the sequencing is there but handled differently by using the pads. It has a feature where the sequencing is done in steps using the pads. So maybe that is even better than a normal sequencing feature. Am thinking to lool into it, probably go to a shop that has them in stock and ask them for a demo.

So pay extra for auto mapping, less stress.
Nothing against FL users I do appreciate their skills with the mouse and computer keyboard. That said what is the purpose of the MIDI controller and who is it really for? 90% of the FL users I see don't use a keyboard controller they are very fast and proficient without one. Good luck with having them change their workflow.

No one’s work flow is the same. You’re talking about a producer producer. There is such thing as producer musicians who would love this.

@@HUMDRUMM I agree and would get it myself if I were to go back to FL which is very possible. Even if I wanted to I just can’t do the clicking for chords and melodies it’s amazing how these producers can compose great music without playing the keys.
I have an FL key mini & I use it in my workflow a lot. Instead of clicking in, I’m able to be more hands on with making my beat which allows me to approach things differently! Love it!

Very true.. however, Most programs and standalone keyboards have had this feature for over 20 years. It’s been in Fl for while they added function to midi controller 💪🏾

From what I saw with your review it seams the FL controller is extremely similar in functions to the Launchkey so maybe it will make FL less confusing for me.
