Great review man. My wife and I are really into the XM 18 we got. Kinda wondered bout the eclipse. Maybe I will try to find a XM 24 first now
Thanks brother!! And yeah that’s what I would do personally but the Eklipse is definitely still nice, if probably go for a different blade shape though! Pretty sure the slicer grind and what cliffs are going to offer the best cutting performance! Definitely love my XM18 though!

I’d have to agree with you on about all of your points about the Eklipse. I do love the knife though it is now one of my favorites next to my XM 18.

Awesome review, definately built like a tank and cuts like one too lol. Thanks for the honest take on this knife. That's why I like to carry different knives, a hard use and a slicer and use the right tool for the job. Keep making sharp things fun and enjoyable

Great review and input. I've got one of the monkey edge eklipses I need to get rid of. I hate the ergonomics of it. I only buy hinderer wharncliffe blades and carry my xm-18 3.5 on most days.
Awesome review! I work In a warehouse and I’d like to get an XM-18 or an Eklipse but just can’t decide on which one 😂
I’d recommend the XM18 over the Eclipse but that’s just my preferences, they are both excellent but the XM18 is damn near perfect!

Funny you say that because I’m working on the 229 review right now! And I do not know anyone selling one off the top of my head but there’s a good chance you can find one in the “Spyderco Millie Pm2 P3 Club” Facebook group!
Definitely not your usual style of review. Maybe it's just me idk. The eklipse is a good piece but if you want something really good. Get you a firetac. Ricks best model if you ask me.
