In my normal setup I use 2 4 track recorders to playback and layer numerous tape loops. For this video, I wanted to experiment and take this idea further by using a large ensemble of walkmans and various length tape loops. This improvised ambient walkman "symphony" is recorded in real time, with all tape loops being mixed and processed through a caline reverb pedal and behringer delay.

still my favourite piece of ambient music. this is so haunting and melancholy, it makes you feel like you're lost in memories. true masterpiece man.
I build a few pedals and sell hacked Walkmans. I've been performing darker ambient audio for a few years now. This is one of the best things I've heard for a while. I watch a lot of these vids. Take something fairly simple. Hold your nerve, stay restrained, let it breath. You do it so well.
Oh man the moment the panning kicked through that pedal, whoa, ya pulled me in completely.
Honestly I am now a hundred percent interested in getting into this side of the music world and I never knew this existed but now seeing how complex and interesting it is I am all aboard the train with this one
There's is something elegantly organic, nostalgic and wholesome about this. It's a ballet. It's an orchestra. It's audibly and aesthetically 'beautiful'. I F'ing love it.
I would love to listen to this track for the first time again.

The caline snakebite is great! It is the only pedal i've seen that has a center frequency with resonance setting, and a low pass filter built in, as well as a pre delay knob

It's weird hardware companies don't make these type of instruments. I feel this could be a very interesting way to perform music compared to traditional synths.

This musical concrete is impressive. I really like the sound as much as watching it all go by like clocks going at slightly different speeds. Ever have one or two with the batteries slowly going dead?

But I'm this 2 yrs I made 2600 songs.
I free flow most sounds. Mostly strings piano etc. But the key here is .. I dont know what I push. I just feel. So it's a hella cool experience in emotion driven fingers seeking sounds they have never heard. ;)

Incredible results. I've done similar things with four separate live performers, all summed into one mixer which a conductor (myself, usually) "plays". Anyway, yours is a very creative, powerful technique, and I'd love to see it performed live one day.
