Rex Ryan as a coach would be great. I would want to see who he brought with him on the offensive side of the ball, as that would be a big determining factor for me. I think that he could even be asked to keep Coach Brick on and help him learn to coach as an interim coach. He would get rid of that locker room entitlement pretty quick, and the locker room was horrific under Saleh, leading back to Gase. Pretty much since Ryan we haven't had a good locker room.

@@JerboFotius Yeah, but none of these coaching changes are going to matter unless they have at least 2 kickers who can kick a field goal from at least 56 yards out in any weather condition.
It will be up to them to breathe hot air in the ear of the GM and Woody to pay up and structure the team so that they can retain 2 kickers or at least figure out a way to make it happen. Drafting one of those kickers wouldn't be a bad idea at all.
Jets need their Adam Vinatieri. There's no way around it. Parcells is a smart coach. He got Adam Vinatieri for the Pats and signed John Hall to the Jets.
The difference between the Jets being 6-2, 5 - 3, or 4 - 4 right now is solely on the kicker, despite the other issues. If the kicker does his job Saleh would still be the head coach now 😂😂😂. As strange as it sounds that's what it is.

  • @beefy1728
    @beefy1728 23 дня назад +6

Sadly, from all the pro "Rex Ryan for Head Coach" comments I can assess that Jets' fans are too accustomed to the culture of losing.
As a fan that watched the years of Rich Kotite, Bill Parcells, Al Groh, Herm Edwards, and Eric Mangini I know the difference between a winning franchise and a losing franchise and Rex Ryan's arrival was the beginning of the end of an almost 12-year winning culture with multiple playoff appearances.
Rex Ryan inherited a team molded and built by Eric Mangini. Rex Ryan didn't build much from scratch except for bringing a few Ravens defensive players over for those two AFC Championships.
Mangini held those players accountable, he made those players run laps in practice if they missed their blocking assignments or caused penalties - which are two factors why the Jets are suffering now.
Parcells would give an earful to players returning to the sideline after causing a penalty.
Rex Ryan didn't do any of that.
Rex Ryan just let failing players continue to fail. It was a systemic break down of organization and discipline, and the offense would feel it way more than the defense.
To put things into perspective here when Rex had to rebuild the team Geno Smith failed.
Geno Smith went to the playoffs with the Seahawks in 2022 and was accepted to the Pro Bowl in 2022 and 2023.

@ the 2:15 point in this video, I'm going to make my point as to why Rex Ryan should once again become the HC of the Jets again, because of the passion, and the energy and the respect that he commands from his players, is unmatched compared to the previous coaches, and this is the main point that I was to emphasize, George steinbrenner understood the passion and fire that Billy Martin brought to the Yankees, that's why he was willing to rehire him several times, and the Jets should take a page out of George steinbrenner's book on how to become a winning franchise, and as usual go loosing-ass Jets from Detroit.

After 7 lifeless seasons with Bowles,Gase and Saleh I will be more then happy to have Rex back....he hate the sleezy attitude of the team and he can REALLY yelling at the players when they slacking like the last 3 HC.
I wanna see passion and aggressiveness and Rex have all of this....he need only to recruit the right coaching staff.
    Ground and pound baby.

I dont believe it will happen. But I would love to bring back Rex Ryan. I believe towards the end, the jets were rebuilding, and they wanted a new voice. We had success under Rex. He could hire an OC to run the offense. He held player accountable, which is a problem now, apparently. The jets just need some consistency that's what all the good times have.

What I think we need starts from the upper management. New blood at GM, maybe Louis Reddick, start talking to people from well run organizations see if we can get Ozzie Newsome outta retirement, get someone tht has interest in his team, maybe a former player someone like Mangold. Talk to new blood & business minded people. I like Dominique Foxworth, & new coaches. This is SOO SICKENING how our football season is over by wk 8!

The fact that anyone is lobbying to be associated with the JETS is good enough for me.

Tyrod played for him too so that would be an easy transition at QB if Rodgers retires

A big reason Rex and his brother are out of football is their Daddy's playbook is out of date. Teams learned how to deal with it. And he has nothing new. Think about that.

Jets fan from the Namath days. It’s been years and we still don’t have a capable offensive coordinator!!
I’d love to have Rex back!! I can only imagine how great the defense would be with this talent level and Ryan designing the schemes. Not to mention his psyche up energy. We don’t need a rebuild- we need two things:
    1) A legitimate offensive coordinator
    2) to start mowing opponents over!!
    BRING BACK REX!!
