A bit of a question, because I'm trying to have it to where I don't have to have Adobe ANYTHING anymore, and there is one thing about Audition that I have yet to find anything about in Resolve: the "Delete Silence" diagnostic tool that it provided. If you, say, record your voiceover but are not going by a script or are and you want to take a few pauses in between, Audition's Delete Silence tool was able to go through the track, find any pauses beyond what parameters you set, and then choose to "delete/shorten silences" for all of them. For whatever reason, I try to search for this same thing for Resolve and I've yet to come across anyone who even brings up this possibility. Does Fairlight have a way to do what Audition is able to do in this manner?

I don't know off the top of my head, I still do most of my audio in Pro Tools or Studio One. If I come across it in Resolve I'll post a vid.

For some reason sine version 17 im getting like an scratching sound when recording, i had the MV7 shure now i have the SMB7, through the scarlet solo as well as cloudlifter. I should be definitely a setting somewhere that is causing that static. how do you have it set in windows recording advanced? where it says 2 channel, 16bit or 24 bit dvd quality etc?

A scratching sound probably isn't related to DaVinci Resolve. It would be more likely for it to be a bad cable, driver issues, or some interference. If you are using a Cloudlifter, they can succumb to interference easily from other USB devices nearby. Like USB hard drives, hubs, or even MIDI controllers.
