Exquisite $50k OFF GRID RAMMED EARTH HOUSE in Texas made with COMPRESSED EARTH BLOCKS

From his website: "Earthen construction has stood the test of time (at least 5,000 years by most accounts). It's hard to argue with a building material that's natural, fire proof, bullet proof, tornado proof, hurricane proof, insect proof, eco-friendly, durable, and overwhelmingly beautiful! CEB construction, made possible through the use of AECT compressed earth block machines, offers a natural, environmentally friendly and inexpensive method of building...and because of the high energy efficiency of the earth blocks themselves, the real savings is in the reduced energy cost experienced over the life of the home. If you wish to contact him, you can do so through this link 👉🏻 aectearthblock.com/ or go to his RUclips channel at: www.youtube.com/@advancedearthenconstructio5103/videos
Do you know what's their sewage solution?
Unfortunately we don’t. You can as him on hood RUclips channel… He generally replies to questions 😀
Ty
this is true architecture. it is human and sustainable.
What a warm, loving, and beautiful home. You all did soo much work and did it so well. I hope you are very proud of your home. Great job may it stand for 100s of years.
It’s so inspiring, I am planning to build mine with rammed earth.
We agree! It’s very inspiring 😊
Beautiful off grid home…
Beautiful indeed!
My husband and I are watching your video...what a beautiful, wonderful space! We love what you have done!
I’m so glad you guys liked it! Unfortunately we cannot take the credit for this build - Ryan kindly gave as a tour of this place for our channel. We were stunned! It’s indeed a beautiful house! 😍

Thank you!!! Glad you enjoyed it!! Appreciate you subscribing, sharing and watching our other videos... more coming soon :-)
Brilliant home, thanks for sharing this amazing story, truly inspiring
Aww man this is so cool, definitely life goals!!
Amazing!
Thanks!
I remember seeing this home as you were constructing it.
We didn't build it 😅 The guy in the video did. My husband and I own this channel and we approached Ryan about interviewing him and he kindly agreed.
If you look though or videos you will see many other different houses that we have toured, as well as travel vlogs around the world.
Cheers!
Thank you so much for sharing this. I'm very inspired and motivated.
Great house, great video, thanks’ for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
What a wonderful beautiful house you’ve built. Well done !! Thanks for showing us it. 😀❤️😀
We also love his house! 😍❤️❤️
Absolutely brilliant 👌
Thank you!!!
Love this type of design. Am in FL. Deciding if this is possible here vs dome. Any input appreciated. Much happiness in your home!
It’s a beautiful eco friendly house. I love the simplicity, could you please share the floor plans.
Unfortunately, this house doesn’t belong to us 😅… Rayan, the owner and builder just gave us a tour around. We also have a few other houses that we toured here on our channel 😊
Beautiful home
It really is!
I am getting mixed messages about CEB homes. One I hear that the R value is poor so the home would remain cold in winter. (I hate being cold) Others say that CEB homes are fantastic. I am in SE arizona but dont mind heat but hate cold. Anyone have any wisdom on this?
If your area's mean temperature is comfortable and you have enough sun, the dense dense CEB can hold its interior near the average. This isn't insulation, more of a thermal inertia; the earth takes a while to heat up and cool off. For colder climates, insulative cladding on the outside can complement the thermal mass.
This is awsome
Lovely video guys
Thanks so much. Glad you are enjoying the channel!
Brilliant!
Right?! Thanks for watching 😀
Do you use mortar to hold the blocks together or what do you apply to the blocks to join them?
Great question - we filmed the video, but best to ask Ryan directly.
Usually the same material that is used for blocks is used as mortar
Is this their primary residence? Or is it more of a demo/proof of concept? looks great.
Great question. It's been a while since this was filmed and not sure what exactly they are up to. Thanks for the sub and the comment!
Beautiful. But is it possible to make rammed earth paveway bricks? If I have my own land, I'd personally try hexagonal pave way bricks.
Hi! You can contact Ryan though the links in the first pinned comment in this section or else through the description of the video 🙂
Love the house. Can you point me towards the building permits so I can read up? Thank you, and I enjoyed the video.
Hi! You can contact Ryan though the links in the first pinned comment in this section or else through the description of the video 🙂
For the excess solar they need to put an electric tank water heater before the propane tankless so you have less of a need for propane
That's a clever way to use solar!
I'm wondering what possible costs 50 thousand dollars! Are you counting the machine's worth. By the way how are they ordered id like the small version
Gostei muito
Ficamos muito felizes!
I am assuming 50 k without including labor. How many people and hours did it take to build this house?
Wow. I want to try something like this for myself. Any suggestions will greatly help
Maybe you can find more details on Ryan's website 😀
We would love to say that we built this house and therefore, help you with tips but unfortunately we won't take the credit. Ryan agreed to let us film it for our channel 😆
@@steveandnaz hey thanks for response, how can I contact you?. Contact Ryan he gave some builders contacts but none of them responding.
Muito bom
Obrigado!
Are walls un-insulated? What size blocks did you use? It’s a beautiful home! Thx 🙏
I believe they are solid.
12” thick earthen walls. These compressed earth blocks are 6” x 12” x 3.5”
The benefit of earth under your feet is if you are "Grounded". If there is a vapor barrier installed on top of the earth below the earthen floor, then you would need some way to "Ground" the earthen floor to 'grounding rods'.
Nice! My wife and I are from Utah, and I am planning to build an off grid home with compressed earth block in the next year or two. In addition, we are visiting San Antonio next week. Personally, I would love to see your home! I would not want to intrude though. How far are you from the Riverwalk?
Hello there! The guy on the video was interviewed by us (my husband and I) for our RUclips channel. I know a lot of people got confused about that 😅. You can find his contact details on the description section of this video, as well as in the first pinned comment. Hope it helps and you get to see this beautiful house!
By any chance, is it possible to get a more detailed list of costings for the house, especially for the CEB-related material?
Thanks for your comment! We are not the builders of this house. It's builder kindly agreed to give us a tour for our chanel ☺️. If you wish to contact him, his details are in the description of this video. Cheers!
Hell ya. Now its like you cannot even go off grid for the aerobic septic systems. I have a septic here considering the whacko kwh prices looks like im going off grid when my contract is up.
Thanks for the feedback. We filmed Ryan but his link is in the description if you want to contact him. God bless
I would like to know how you tied the roof on to the building.
Thanks for your comment! The builder of this house kindly agreed to give us a tour for our channel. Unfortunately we don't know the answer to your question.
How did it hold up over the last year?
Thanks for commenting. Please contact Ryan with the lnk in description.
Where in Texas was this built? Thinking of doing the same thing in Real county, Tx.
Thanks for the feedback. We filmed Ryan but his link is in the description if you want to contact him. God bless
Hi guys, well done 👍🏽 love it! Can you please share a link to the machine used or the company that makes them? We are keen to import one ☝🏾 or something similar to New Zealand potentially to help move forward the cause and help others do similar projects. Certainly after we do our own. Thanks 🙏🏽 J
Hi, Jace! Thank you very much for your comment! You can contact Ryan directly through his website here 👉🏻 aectearthblock.com/
Cheers!
Is this somewhat earthquake proof?
Hi Peter, Best to contact and ask Ryan directly as we filmed the video. Thanks!
So not trying to be rude but you have blocks on the roof is it falling apart?
Thanks for commenting. Please contact Ryan with the lnk in description.
How much was it for the bricks
Hello, there! Ryan used his own compressed earth blocks machines to make the bricks.
What was the most money from all the repurposed stuff.
Sorry not sure i understand 😀
Beautiful home.
I am very interested in CEB's, and it's cool when you can reuse material in a construction project, but, to be honest, I am sick of all these videos coming out where people are claiming everything they're doing is reclaimed material like they're not using anything new. It feels a lot like virtue signaling.
Reclaimed materials can sometimes be cheaper or even free, which is good for low budget builds. Others like the looks of it or even the quality - like old wood that used to last longer and be more chemical free than nowadays. For some others, they want to help reduce waste.
But we agree that some people will use reclaimed materials just to make them look better than those who decided to build using new materials.
For my husband and I ( owners of this channel - I need to say that because many people watch this video but they don't know that we filmed Ryan for the purpose of showing his house and business idea) we would like to merge the two: New and for some parts, reclaimed. But I have to admit that I would do it for the looks that reclaimed materials give. Eg. old doors and windows, etc. 😅
Thanks for your comment and a happy new year!
If solar thermal collectors were used for hot water, and a rocket mass heater was used for heating, they almost wouldn’t need the propane 🤓
We will make sure that this kind of "independent living" is no longer available for the masses.
Thanks for sharing!!
Why does it cost so much?
Thanks for the feedback. We filmed Ryan but his link is in the description if you want to contact him. God bless
Single pane glass in Texas? The A/C in the window tell the story of why you shouldn't do that. Recycling is fine, but putting in inferior windows to the detriment of comfort is bad.
Thanks for the tip.
This looks bigger than 1000 sq ft.
Thanks for the comment!
Love the idea and way of conatruction, but isntead of using electricity which they get for "free" they choose gas/propane stove and such, ngl that was a dumb move since its well known that electric stoves, heater, etc. are more efficient than gas or wood "powered"; I guess thats the american spirit
can you get a mortgage on one.. can you sell it and the new owners get a mortgage.. if not,, no thanks
You can ask Ryan (three owner of the business and builder of the house) getting in contact with him through his contact details we shared on the description of this video, as well as in the first pinned comment in the comment section.
Cannot be 50k. If it was, then totally missing the point.
Thanks for the comment!
