The first chateau was beautiful, the second one had more charm then I expected when I first saw the exterior. But there was soooooo much work to be done and it needed new roofs. The outbuildings of the second one had of course a lot more potentional for the day spa? But do you want to keep up with such large woods and so many expensive restorations? What are you exactly looking for, how much restauration do you want to do? And Denise you have a talent for decor. The table was wonderful!

Denise I so enjoyed your video. You did an absolutely elegant job setting that table and Patrick and Stuart’s dining room never looked more beautiful. I really loved the second property. There were a few times when I was watching I actually did a screen shot of the chateau (outbuildings) and my imagination just took off on what could be. It’s a big decision for you and Brett but I’m sure you will make the right choice when the opportunity presents itself.

Like the design of #2 much better kept its château charm. #1 just looks like a big modern house , zero château feeling. Especially if you are trying sell a château feeling to people for weddings, b&b, day spa. If I was looking for that , I wouldn't even consider #1. Wrap your head around the costumers head . I'm sure #1all finished w electrical and plumbing. When I saw three modern kitchen , it was big turn off. If I'm going to French château, I want to sip my tea in French country style kitchen ❤️

Two very different Chateau’s. I like the first one but I would not want that much acreage. We are on 15.5 and find it too much. Especially with the horses….we have a bad dandelion issue here and have been mowing every year 12 hours a week. This year we decided we had to unfortunately spray as the horses get ulcers from them and it is 2 grand to treat. Of course if I was looking at property this would be a concern for me, lots of water, and close to good vets. The dining room looked so beautiful and you all look like you had a great time….I watch the boys and enjoy their journey…..very exciting times for you both….living through you….ENJOY.

What a lovely vlog showcasing two chateaux. Without a doubt, the FIRST chateau would be my choice. It is beautiful, elegant and updated. You can start living your life in your new home right away. You most certainly can put your own stamp on it with your own furnishings, your own art, your own special touches. Please select this one! As far as a spa, that is where you can put your energy. Hire an architect who can assist in designing an add on or a structure on its own away from the home somewhere on the grounds where it won’t disrupt your daily life. That is where your energy can go. It would be too overwhelming to try to renovate the chateau, deal with the outbuildings and then concentrate on a spa. It just sounds too exhausting. You have a nugget of a Masterpiece that you can embellish without all those different projects to tackle and then after those are finished if you take the second chateau it will never rival the FIRST château . It will pale by comparison. Please enjoy your beautiful lives without any superfluous stress. Focus on landscaping and building a beautiful spa with perhaps a greenhouse attached. And Denise with that table setting you created it is obvious that you have flair and style that you can display in your that spectacular FIRST château without waiting for all that laborious nasty work to be completed. That said, we are here to support you in whatever decision you make. Wishing you both all the best.

How exciting! Viewing more chateaus! Just a suggestion, the first totally renovated chateau would be awesome! You could move right in! With all the money you won't have to spend on the chateau you may find you could build a day spa exactly like you want it and in the end would be much less then a chateau and a outer building that needs work and still not exactly how you would want it! Just a thought..... 😁

Very cool video, Denise! I thorouly enjoyed the whole lot! I did love that first chateau you viewed, but for me, the second on e was just perfect! Amazing place to make a Day Spa, as well as those amazing stables and everything else there! I loved it. Can't wait to see the next ones!

Two more properties under your belt! The first chateau looked pristine and very pretty. Very gentile and “chateau”. But without the outbuildings, it doesn’t sound like a good set-up for you? The second chateau otoh had all those outbuilding with space for horses and spa guests. Plus, some scope for you to put your own stamp on it. Is the roof intact? It looked a bit sketchy… Both chateaux seem to have the added bonus that your friends are close… But let’s see what else you come across.

Well I thought the first chateau was going to be pretty hard to beat, but this one you went to with Patrick and Stuart seems to have done the trick! Only you will know, because you have literally stood inside both of them. But this second one looked just as good, or should I say, even better? than the first. Plenty of scope with the outbuildings, the ground floor looks pretty good and solid and you gave just enough glimpses for me to see, hints of totally gorgeous bits of wallpaper here and here, tiles that would be worth keeping. The top floors naturally looked shabby, but hard to see if they were intact, but again you know this. The really nice chateau that had been renovated, was jaw-droppingly gorgeous of course (with a price tag to match I am sure!). Only you know what you are willing to comprise on, but for me, I would think outbuildings and the top price would make it one step too far unless you have unlimited funds. The Patrick and Stuart Chateau looked very much like LaLande in its build. Certainly, move-in ready but yet plenty of room and space for you and Brett to put your mark on it. Oh it's very exciting!!! I can not wait to see which one you choose.

Lovely video! Really enjoying your journey and also follow Patrick and Stuart. How I wish I could persuade my husband to do the same. For my two cents worth - I think the first chateau was superb. It’s a pity the outbuildings were already sold off but I agree with some of the other comments that the first chateau is already beautifully done and would not suck all your time and energy on renovations. You could then commission a custom built spa on the grounds in a style that matches the main building.

❤ The second Chateau is gorgeous, but not sure if thats all u are going ,to get the Chateau and no outter buildings , and looks to be the dearest one . I guess u could just move in and set the business up straight away . 60 aches is a good amount of land . How many aches on the first one ? . Third property i say has it all 35 h thats over a 100 a , long term might be a better bet but do u need to be close to a town ? And u could set up a BnB there too and horse riding , which u could do with all of them . The first and third are very similar, 2nd ready but not ticking all the boxes . 🤔❤

The second chateau is stunning. Would it be difficult to get permission to build a spa separate from the chateau? If not this one, I’m sure you will find your gem! All the best!

Thank you Barbara. It always depends on the chateau itself and it’s regulations around it. :) Let’s find the chateau and we will give updates on every step on the way.

Wow!! I liked the second chateau for the options for your day spa in the out buildings. There would be a bit of work restoring the chateau and it’s out buildings, but you would be able to put your stamp on it. The first chateau was gorgeous and totally don except for putting a few tweaks here and there. You would probably have to build something for your day spa…
I loved the table you set for the Anniversary Dinner at Patrick and Stewart’s. it looked like a great time was had by all! I can’t wait to see your next Chateau viewing!!

What a delightful video. Really enjoyed piggybacking onto your journey. Loved seeing the others, Patrick, Stuart, Jane and Tony…and both chateaus were lovely…I’d pick number 1 so I’d have less work to do but then without the requisite out buildings it might not work for you. Wishing you luck and still watching from PA, USA.

The first one would have to be a 10 out of 10 . Great setup . Next one would need work not sure about the heating and electrical side of things . More land tho .

I am enjoying your journey. The first two were done, lovely but did not draw me in. This 3rd one, 2nd one on this vlog, I loved, there is so much potential, so many outbuildings to use for a day spa, so much history still to be seen. What a decision you will have. Only 7 more to look at, I believe you said you have 10 viewings lined up. I am sure you are making copious amount of notes with the pros and cons, after each viewing. Thank you for bringing us along.

First home beautiful. Too bad outbuildings not part of it. Second very different style, outbuildings that looked too need work. But in both main house and buildings you can make your own mark. livestock barn has spa potential. Thank you for sharing.

Bonjour Denise and Brett, this is getting harder by the minute, the renovated Chateau would be perfect to move in and start your business right away, is the basement a walkout to the car park or the gardens, you could convert part of it into the day spa, that would kind of keep it separate from the Chateau even though it's in it. Also does the people who bought the outbuildings have free run of the property to get to and from them. They all look pretty good, the one from your first video, and these two, but I don't feel any of them were love at first sight for you two. Anyway, on to the next. love from N.Y.

Hello Joni, yes absolutely. It’s getting harder by the minute. So much to consider, take in and to ask ourselves.
But we are also getting more confident in what we want and don’t want. It helps us to understand.
We will soon show you the next ones. ☺️
Big thank you to New York. 😘
