Yes- tears & heartbreak.. saying goodbye to the life you built and all those you love...very very difficult, painful. Hard because you are excited for the next chapter and yet difficult to walk away from a beautiful life you created. Wishing you love and peace as you walk thru this transition into your next chapter of life.
I cried along with you saying goodbye to your beautiful home, friends, and herd😢. So happy to see you in france, and looking forward to your new adventures. Bon chance!
I’m soooo sorry about the horses. I have horses and dogs. I couldn’t imagine leaving them behind. But again a person has to think of their age and their condition. You are a very strong lady. I probably would do the same. I’m glad you all are going on this jorney!! I’m glad to be watching you and your family move to this beautiful new life!! Again soo sorry about the horses!! I can definitely see the love between you and the horses! Lots of love from Tennessee ! Hugs to you all!!
thank you so much April for your empathy and understanding and warm words! ♥️ It wasn’t easy. But not wanting to be selfish. And home is calling the heart. I miss them terribly but family is waiting. ♥️
Just finished watching your farewell video and felt your deep emotions as you said goodbye to your sweet lamas and horses. My husband and I made a major move 10 years ago and felt it best to rehome 3 of our 7 beloved pets. We knew they were going to new wonderful homes, but it was still so hard, so I understand. I wish you nothing but happiness in this exciting new chapter of your lives and I look forward to all of your future videos. God speed and God bless.
Thank you so much! I feel sorry for you as well as it’s just heartbreaking doing it! but sometimes there are times in life where we have to decide best for our beloved animals and also because there are no other options. It was so heartbreaking 💔 now I try to make the best out of it. Big hugs to you ♥️
@@Chateau_de_Londigny when we first relocated, one of our rehomers kept in touch with us for a while sending us videos to show us how well our pets were adapting and that sure helped a lot. It must have been really heartbreaking to leave a place you have built up and to those you have made friends with and loved ones.... Also your animals .. But now for a new chapter in your life. Bon Chance to you both😘
The first time I have watched your channel. Maybe not the best idea for me? To start with such a sad episode, saying goodbye. It must have been emotional leaving all your family and friends and house behind, I remember the day we emigrated to Canada never cried so many tears. Good luck with your new adventure can't wait to see what's in front of you.
The departure was very emotional just watching, I can't imagine how difficult it must have been but you are looking forward to a grand new wonderful life in a Chateau! How very exciting! God bless you.❤️🙏

I remember feeling so tired packing up our house in Australia and moving to the UK. Was supposed to be only a year, but we are still here 17 years later! So happy to see that Abi arrived safely. Hope everything else goes smoothly
Hello, your video is heartbreaking. We live in the Dordogne (Monpazier), a place of history surrounded by castles, culture and good living. We are happy that you have chosen France and we hope that your new land of action will live up to your expectations. Watching this video was terribly hard because you are leaving what seems to us to be an Eden. Your emotions have overwhelmed us. We wish you the best. Best regards, Cyril and Christelle
Thank you both! It is very hard to watch! That’s why I wasn’t sure if I really want to see it and revisit it emotionally again. But it is part of the journey and the decision making. ♥️♥️♥️ Thank you for watching , big hugs

Hi, 👋, welcome to your Shangri-La, At least you have friends and family who are supporting you in your new adventure, I wish you both all the success for the future, from the moulin France , 🦘🐕🦙🐎🚤✈️🌧️💐🍾🍷
I just watched this and was crying when you had toleave your beautiful horses and alpacas behind. I hope you are settling in and enjoying your new phase in life.
I felt your pain being a long time horse trainer now retired and horseless. My horses all three passed from extreme old age thankfully. It’s a wonderful feeling that you found them good homes. So excited to see you both on your new journey in France and live a little vicariously thru your episodes, yeah great episode.
Thank you sandy for your warm words and empathy! It was horrible horrible horrible for me. I couldn’t stop crying! 🥺❤️🩹 I don’t want to do it again. Big hugs!
I must say, I felt very emotional for you all. I think for me saying goodbye to the horses and Australia would be the hardest. Castles are beautiful, but I so very much fell in love with your farm and farmhouse. May I ask why you wanted to move to France? Is it a better place for you to live financially? I commend your bravery for taking the plunge. Your chateau is absolutely beautiful. Thanks for sharing. All the very best to you both. The video was very well done except the early morning darkness with the horses. I could hear their emotions. Bless you both as you begin your lives in France.❤
I so understand the bitter sweet of leaving to go and live in another country. I am an Aussie living in Austria for nearly 20 years now. I am 67 and my Austrian husband is 73. We won't be going back to Australia to live again. I miss home a lot but have also made a wonderful life in Austria as you will in France. My ancient cat died a couple of years before I thought of moving to Austria. I have a darling Austrian cat here, whom I rescued. Thanks for sharing your journey. Looking forward to your upcoming vlogs and welcome to Europe.
So happy for your new adventures, from the farm to a Chateau fit for kings ... good luck settling in cobbers x ❤ ps.. i was still packing and only got to Halls Gap 😂😂😂
What an emotional journey you guys have just had me on over the last 24 minutes!! I cannot even begin to imagine how hard all of your goodbyes were, and to finally see Abbie on the other side must have been very emotional! We are soo excited for you both and thrilled to see your channel doing soo well soo quickly! We can’t wait to come and see you both soon! Hope the next few days go really quickly for you! 😂❤️🥰👍🏼
Wishing you all ALL the luck in The World 🌍 for your exciting new chapter in life 💫 . It’s a privilege to be able to share your journey Thankyou from Cornwall UK, Bizoux 🥰
Big lump in my throat after all those emotional farewells, but so glad you have arrived safely in France. We will come see you and help out when Jo and Gary are back from Italy, I'll text you about that, so best you line up plenty of odd jobs for Tony to get stuck into! xxx
You have wonderful friends who did so many nice things to bid you farewell. And a special friend even came to France!! Can’t wait for your future episodes.
Bon courage une nouvelle vie vous attend où vous pourrez réaliser de nombreux projets . Bravo pour ce pas dans l'inconnu. Félicitations pour votre château! 🏰👏
Oh My gosh what an emotional video and Rocco and I only met you once! However being our 20th anniversary it was very special and the space you created was so nourishing and we wont forget it! That was March 23rd last year, now you're in France! Well done to you both for taking life into your hands and choosing adventure :-) And Im so pleased Abby is with you both :-) May we meet again..... it seems in France!
Heartbreaking seeing the expressions on the lamas faces as they resisted getting out of the trailer, so glad they will be together at least. Not sure how you are doing this….as much as the move sounds exciting.
Hello Diane, as explained before in the video, it wasn’t the intention to move to Europe. Only when Brett was ready for it. And as we have decided to wanting to be close to the german family as there is almost none left in Australia, we had to go down this road. My whole world are the animals and we both care about each and every single one. But when life calls you, you have to make a decision. It hurts so much! ♥️
Your video made my day! That was so nice of you to include us in your farewell to Australia and welcome to France. I sure am looking forward to seeing your gorgeous Chateau again! Greetings from British Columbia, Canada.
Thank u both for sharing this Journey to us , lots of sad times but its all part of the journey in such a very big move . When i was watching the update i was thinking of the song Bayini that Delta and Gurrumul performed its a love song , of the land of Australia u both clearly loved your home your land and your animals and so many great friends but hey its only a plane ride away . i take my hat off to u both u very brave . Anyhow so much ahead of u and its just so very exciting that Chateau is one big WOW can not wait for the next update video take care i hope the tooth heals well . 🦘🦘 Now that was a send off with 2 Kangaroos in front .
Thank you Keith! Tooth still not so good but on antibiotics 🥹 Lots to do now and in three days in the big day! We can’t wait to get started and to finally finally show you everything and start the journey “together” ♥️
Welcome to Europe, and welcome to France, one of the most amazing countries on this continent. You made me cry. I've had the same experience of relocating twice to another continent, and it is brutal when you have to give up so much love in the blink of an eye. Lucky you are to move to such an incredible and gorgeous Chateaux that surely will ease your pain by leaving your lovely farm in Australia. Leaving the animals behind is heartbreaking; at least you have the doggy with you, and you did well in finding a great place to be for all others. Indeed, you two are lovely, great people.
Hello Todd and thank you for the very warm welcome! ♥️ You know exactly how it feels to leave home for a new home. I have done that twice as well. Leaving Germany for Australia and now almost 6 years later, moving to France. It’s the first time for Brett. But we know why we are doing it. We decided to move closer back to Germany to be able to spend quality time with family. And the Chateau dream is becoming true as well. Sorry for making you cry. 🥹 Big hugs and stand by for the next step! Moving into the chateau the end of this week! ☺️
Thanks Brett & Denise for the 'raw' video. Sending you warm hugs - life is good! Wonderful to see 'Mademoiselle Abbey' arrive safe and happy in France. All the best for the 29th. Dianne. 😀🦮🏰
So happy for you both. Can't wait to see you in your new home. Congratulations on the chateau, I know you've waited so long but now the wait is over and your new life and journey begins. Thanks for bringing us along. ❤❤❤❤you both
No idea why you’re leaving your current life, hope you find whatever it is you’re looking for in France. I did the reverse journey and love Australia, best move we ever made. Still hurts leaving family behind I have to say though, 14 years later.
The reason is the family in germany! There is no stronger reason that being on the same continent! And as you say even after 14 years you feel that it hurts. The chateau dream combined with family reunion is, what it all is about. ♥️
Thank you for sharing your journey with us. This was a very moving video for me as I am saying goodbye to some many I love deeply in order to live the adventurous life I am called to. It isn't easy....both of you possess such courage and are an inspiration!
So many heart wrenching moments to go through, leaving family, friends & your beloved animals, what a journey you both have undertaken, change is good & those left behind will come to visit. Thank you for letting us come along on your journey. A toast to you as you move forward with your dreams for this beautiful abode.🥂
I'm sitting here crying like a baby. I know exactly how you feel I had to do that. But they're going to a good home. Looking forward to your adventure in France! Much love from Oklahoma USA Jackie 🇺🇸💖 PS I'm so happy you showed us your trip going to France and packing up! Everyone has really missed you ❤ oh the dentist 😱 I hate going 😂
Oh so sorry for making you cry so much as well. You know exactly how it felt 🥺♥️ heartbroken 💔 It’s a big big step and it takes a lot of energy out of you. All the love that we invest into our beloved animals…. it’s awful doing it. And the dentist is just another sad story here. It was horrible as well right after getting here. And it’s not over yet. 😵💫🦷 Anyways! Thank you very much for your support ♥️♥️♥️
Denise life is always full of challenges these may have some heartache attached, you have sacrificed what you have had to start a new life in France, not everyone has that twinkle to do this, this is another Chapter in the life’s travels of Denise and Brett. Rest assured your most beautiful pets will be loved and you can always keep in contact with them all. God bless you both in the future ventures, also know that we will be watching you with love and admiration through this journey. 🇫🇷👍🙏🏰😇🇦🇺
So bittersweet! You’ve cried thousands of tears, but there’ll be more. Tears of joy, tears of pain, tears of frustration. They’ll all be worth it! Your new life begins now! What an adventure! I’m honoured to be able to follow a small part of it. Counting the hours. ❤A bientot.
WOW! Leaving such a wonderful place...Even I cried when you said GOODBYE to the lama's n' the HORSE"S...tears, tears, tears... I do believe they didn't want you to leave them...Good LUCK in your new adventure...LOVE from Chicago
I am sure your horses and lamas felt your love and pain. Made me cry, too 😢. I hope you both have a fabulous marriage and life in France. You will be a beautiful bride and groom. I hope your house will sell for you in Australia. Oh the dentist OUCH. Glad you made it safe and sound.
Thank you very much for your warm words. Yes our lives with transform soon. Getting married is an amazing part of it! ♥️ We didn’t want to make you cry but thank you so much for showing your empathy in this! Big hugs
Thank you for sharing. Horses are an amazing part of our lives. ❤ you gave them a good start and loved them. Easier said I know. But, they will never forget you. Glad you all arrived safe.
Bonjour Denise and Brett, thank you for making me CRY. What a crazy 48 hours. I am so happy Abby was there waiting. Good luck, get some sleep see you soon. Love from N.Y.
Wow that was very emotional, we live in Melbourne and are thinking of moving to Geelong, it’s hard enough doing that but moving to another country must have been such a big decision, good luck and enjoy, I am looking forward to following your journey.
Cried with you over having to say goodbye to your precious animals. Never feel bad about crying over someone or something you love- having a tender loving heart is a wonderful quality to possess. Change is difficult, especially for adults, but the rewards are great for those brave enough to embrace it. You will make your Chateau and new life in France as rich and beautiful as your previous life in Australia was. Good luck in this new chapter of yours! I learned about you from another chateau channel and am delighted to subscribe and follow your adventures! ❤️🇨🇦
Hello Rita and welcome to our chateau journey! ♥️ We saw you at the other channel! :) And yes, you are right, changes are very difficult but the reward will be equally amazing. And being closer to the family in Germany is why we are doing it! Thank you for coming on the journey with us! See you along the way. End of this week we are finally moving in. 🥹🍾♥️ big hugs to canada.
I’m not considered a friend but. . . I’m ready to go on this ride with you ! I’m watching many other chateau owners but I love the look of your chateau and want to know more. Bonne chance! (I’ve been learning French for awhile now!) Keep your translator handy ! I’m from Iowa but was from a military family. Lived all over! Take care ! ❤😉
Wow what a fantastic experience to allow us along for the ride, almost anyway!😜. I had tears for the animals, and you having to leave them. Dried my eyes, and loved your last hours in Australia. I can feel it in these old bones that you’ve made a very courageous decision. No looking back now. Can’t wait for the next vlog, after you’ve rested though please? You will go to the top of my viewing list, with hoards of others I predict. I’m a bit of a night owl, so might get to see the vlogs in your time. Look after each other, and the rest will come naturally. Ive never met either of you, but feel like you are old friends now.😜. Look after this gorgeous elegant lady Brett, and your self of course. I’m sure you’ll pop up on 3aw sometime in the distant future. Love to you both! 💚💜
Hello Barb! ♥️ Hello from the other side! We finally have arrived. Sorry we didn’t want to make you cry. We hope we will be on the top of your viewing list! 😃♥️ Big hugs and see you soon from the chateau! Moving in in 3 days!
Oh how do i know how hard it is when we moved from germany to illinois had to rehpme 5 horses some cats and i dog still did bring 1 dog and 4 cats but still hurt and i have the memories all the best for the future 😊😊😊❤
Leaving your home and everything that involves is such an emotional experience. Your vlog brought back so many memories and emotions for us. We also left Melbourne almost two years ago to the day. After locking the door on our home in the Yarra Valley we also spent a few nights at a hotel in Melbourne and then with our 8 suitcases headed to the airport for Europe and our new life and adventure. It's been the toughest thing we've ever done with both highs and lows along the way but we have no regrets whatsoever. We wish you every happiness. Maria e Rowan
Very emotional, it must have been very tough to leave your animals and your friends and family. I am looking forward to following you in you new adventure, I can't wait x
The emotion and the tiredness. Saying farewell to the animals, the house and finally even saying goodbye to Melbourne. Hopefully you were able to sleep on the long journey over to Paris. I can't believe you drove after all of that! I am am usually exhausted. Am looking forward to travelling on the next exciting step of this wonderful adventure. Woohoo!
Leaving that beautiful farm, what a pain!!! I love French castles and I would love to see and of course buy one, it would be a beautiful madness and a dream come true but, where am I now?, I'm leaving here without saying goodbye but I couldn't leave what you left.
I was crying watching this. I know the feeling of leaving everything behind when my family moved to Canada. Cheers to your new home, its beautiful. New subscriber here🎉
Bienvenue. Welcome. Watching your final hours in Australia and your travels brought back the mix of emotions I experienced three months ago when I left the US for France; excitement, anxiety, adventure, worry, a new story to be written... leaving a world behind for the unknown. Yes, tears were shed for both the closing of a chapter and the opening of the next chapter. I was once told that people who succeed are those who take the risks to experience the unknown. Glad you guys are part of this group. Bonne chance in these final days before you get the keys. 🍾🍷👏
Hello Glen! Thank you for your warm welcome! Yes success comes from taking risks in life! we are in the same group. 🥰🇫🇷🥹🏇🏼 And it’s beautiful to know that we all have something in common
As someone who just joined your change it would be great to put episode number on the title of the vlog It would make it easy to follow. Fantastic journey and good luck from Sydney Australia 🇦🇺👍

Big lump in my throat after all those emotional farewells, but so glad you have arrived safely in France. We will come see you and help out when Jo and Gary are back from Italy, I'll text you about that, so best you line up plenty of odd jobs for Tony to get stuck into! xxx

Oh My gosh what an emotional video and Rocco and I only met you once! However being our 20th anniversary it was very special and the space you created was so nourishing and we wont forget it! That was March 23rd last year, now you're in France! Well done to you both for taking life into your hands and choosing adventure :-) And Im so pleased Abby is with you both :-)
May we meet again..... it seems in France!
Very glad you liked it so much 🥰🇫🇷👏🏼

You know exactly how it feels to leave home for a new home.
Big hugs and stand by for the next step! Moving into the chateau the end of this week! ☺️
😢😢😢😢😢😢 in the UK, but the animals have gone to a wonderful new home. ❤
So bittersweet, but I'm excited for you both on your next adventure. Thank you for sharing with all of us. I look forward to future chateau videos.
Thanks Brett & Denise for the 'raw' video. Sending you warm hugs - life is good! Wonderful to see 'Mademoiselle Abbey' arrive safe and happy in France. All the best for the 29th. Dianne. 😀🦮🏰
Mademoiselle Abby! We love it! 🥰♥️ 🐕
Thank you!
So happy for you both. Can't wait to see you in your new home. Congratulations on the chateau, I know you've waited so long but now the wait is over and your new life and journey begins. Thanks for bringing us along. ❤❤❤❤you both
This is so exciting! I had a tear as you said goodbye to the horses and each room of the farm house❤
Can’t wait to see what you do. 💕
♥️🥹
Love your channel! Glad Brett introduced me to it ❤
Thank you 🥰♥️ Hope you doing well
So many heart wrenching moments to go through, leaving family, friends & your beloved animals, what a journey you both have undertaken, change is good & those left behind will come to visit. Thank you for letting us come along on your journey. A toast to you as you move forward with your dreams for this beautiful abode.🥂
Thank you very much for your appreciation and lovely words! 🥂🥰
Anyways!
Thank you for your warm words 🥰 Thank you for taking the time to support our decisions ♥️
So bittersweet! You’ve cried thousands of tears, but there’ll be more. Tears of joy, tears of pain, tears of frustration. They’ll all be worth it! Your new life begins now! What an adventure! I’m honoured to be able to follow a small part of it. Counting the hours. ❤A bientot.

Don’t cry Joni, sorry for upsetting you. 🥹🥹❤️🩹 Big hugs to new York and see you very soon from the chateau! ♥️🇫🇷🍾
Wow that was very emotional, we live in Melbourne and are thinking of moving to Geelong, it’s hard enough doing that but moving to another country must have been such a big decision, good luck and enjoy, I am looking forward to following your journey.
Geelong is beautiful and only 45 Min away from our old farm. 🥰 All the best for the move! 🥰 dare it, it’s worth it!
And yes, you are right, changes are very difficult but the reward will be equally amazing. And being closer to the family in Germany is why we are doing it!
Thank you for coming on the journey with us! See you along the way. End of this week we are finally moving in. 🥹🍾♥️ big hugs to canada.
Very emotional for you and to watch ....I hope you have a safe trip ❤ Sure the horses have a lovely new home xm
Good luck tomorrow with the acte de vente!
Wonderful, closer to your family too now. I’d love to be closer to help. I’ve renovated 20 homes! I’m watching your views increase rapidly. ENJOY! 🌹🌹

Hello Lisa! You understand exactly how it feels like! Nothing worse than rehoming horses. 🥹🏇🏼♥️ big hugs to America
Hello Maria and Rowan, exactly! Moving counties / continents, is one of the hardest things in life! But the reward can be so big! ♥️
Bon chance. Good luck. Glad you arrived safely. Looking forward to the adventure. ATB regards from the UK

What an emotional journey. Wishing you peace and happiness in your new adventure 😍😘
Woohoo!
Thank you Cheryl! Looking forward to take you on this next journey! 🥰
A lovely adventure if not a little scary. Very best wishes for the future.
definitely scary as well. But we do it anyways. 😃🏰🏇🏼♥️
Leaving that beautiful farm, what a pain!!! I love French castles and I would love to see and of course buy one, it would be a beautiful madness and a dream come true but, where am I now?, I'm leaving here without saying goodbye but I couldn't leave what you left.
I felt very emotional for you saying goodbye. I remember when we left Australia for the UK in 2021. I can't wait to follow along.
thank you Julia! Not long now! 3 days til we move in! 🩷
I was crying watching this. I know the feeling of leaving everything behind when my family moved to Canada. Cheers to your new home, its beautiful. New subscriber here🎉
Welcome to the journey! 🥹🩷
Bienvenue.
The Great escape begins..look forward to your journey to revitalize this glorious chateau in the coming year
