Humpback Whale and Calf Alaska

  • I cruised the coastline of southeast Alaska near Ketchikan because I heard whales are often spotted from the shore. I was lucky enough to see the humpbacks trolling the narrows multiple times and here is the best shot I got of a mother humpback whale with her calf. Notice the barnacles on the mother's tail, and the clean smaller tail of her calf.
