Great playing as always. Love the roasted maple neck on that new Cutlass. My favorite strat for practice is a cheap 3 color sunburst 2012 model Squier SE I got from Goodwill for $117 shipped. Barely weighs 7 pounds. Came from the factory with a AA flame maple neck! Soldered in new cts pots with push back wire, .033µF orange drop tone cap, orange drop treble bleed .001µF w/ 150 kΩ Metal Film Resistor, crl switch, switchcraft jack and clearance GFS sss pickups. New Fender tort pickguard, cream pup covers and knobs and hipshot locking tuners. Needed a few high frets lowered, crowned and polished all frets, put some conditioner on the rosewood fretboard and set it up. All in cost $314. Freaking thing is a tone monster. I on the other hand am a permanent beginner guitarist lol.

Tomo I bought one and loved it (at first). Took it to a luthier and they told me the neck was bent bad enough that the Truss rod could not make proper adjustment without breaking. Sadly had to send it back and they are now sold out

Just got one today... but in SSH... freakin' amazing guitar for the money! I was actually testing out some Fender amps, including a Silver Face reissue '68 Princeton and a Lacquered Tweed Hot Rod Deluxe... two great, and totally different amps... couldn't decide on which amp... but I walked out with the guitar! 😎🤘🎸

There are cheaper Strat style guitars on the market but none have the same build quality or features of the CT50. Some might match build quality for a similar price but not the features like locking tuners, sculpted heel, and roasted maple neck. You'd have to spend a lot more to get the same or more than what Sterling offers at this price point. I think a CT50 will be my next guitar purchase. One of my favorite features is the single volume and tone knobs. The volume knob on fender Strats always get in my way. The volume on the CT50 is further away from the bridge and pickup. I also like the meaty neck profile.

Great video as per usual Tomo, BUT maybe you could let Sterling/Musicman know that the guitar isnt available for sale as yet here in Europe( i have sent a few e mails to sterling/musicman requesting further info, but alas no reply) and, using google brings up more than a few stores that say that this guitar has been discontinued(i am NOT mixing up the CT50 with the CT30)..... i kid you not!
