You already have a MIG welder..... Just weld on a new flange or pipe. I use exhaust clamps to position the pipe where I want it, tack it in, remove clamps, and weld the rest.
@@mds6387 I disagree. That's why he only welded the side overlaps. There's the trans, front n rear cross members, wheel wells, torsion bars, links. Not possible even with a professional welder. The welder handle won't fit to accommodate even bad angle welding.

If you can, if there's space, just buy a pipe size you can slip on to one side without cutting the pipe in half and you won't need to worry about wrapping it. Slide it on and fill the ends and clamp it/done. There are pipes you can buy to swap out the cats too. Price it out to see what's best option for your preferences.

I haven't had any issues for about four years now and counting... And I did the job in about 45mins w/o permanently damaging my exhaust system.

They aren't always fool proof especially if gasket is bad. We have these at work and they will leak no matter how tight you get them off the gasket need replacing
I have the chicago mig welder frim harbor frieght for 100 bucks. People say its bad, low quality. But works fine for me. Also u need double gloves and a helmet. Helmet i got it on marketplace for 20. Just get the harbor frieght one. U font need a fancy 1000 dollars welder.

You can go to auto zone or nappa get your self a segment exhaust pipe male female 2 flanges tight that together and voila less chance of your car catching fire cause of the silicone and best part you dont need the mig unless you want to weld the segment with the exauste and voila you saved a couple of hundred bucks and it looks a little more professional so when you go to the garage they wont have a blast laughing of you and it'll look better to !!!
