Bill, you've got to let up or I'm going to have a heart attack 😵This car is absolutely stunning and heartbreaking at the same time because it shows how far we've fallen - cars like these were everywhere "back in the day" and now we've got "pods!" 😥
Back in the day when I worked for a wholesaler we had a ‘76 Fleetwood Brougham in this color to use as a driver. This was a lease return in the fall of 1978. It was this color. Ours was not a ‘d Elegance but still a really beautiful car. The owner of the business let his wife use it one day and she reported back that it was “just the right size”.
Stunning! Exciting! Amazing 48-year-old Fleetwood Brougham D'Elegance in a most gorgeous gold paint. 12K miles in 48 years works out to an average of just 250 miles per year. Another wonderful car, Bill 👍
Your collection is fantastic and this is another stunning example. It looks just like I remember seeing those in the 70s and 80s. I always hope my mom would trade her 72 fleetwood for a 76.
Wow another beautiful CADDY!!! What is a very rare color. My grandparents had the same exact car. Wow does that bring back a lot of memories. I have to hand it to you Bill you'll find some real gems. Another American icon.
The hollow hood ornament was only on coupe DeVille with the cabriolet option. Hood ornament was an option on other devilles std on eldo Fleetwood and Seville
@@christianbugatticg The hollow hood ornament, or as Cadillac described it, "The see through hood ornament", was used with the d'elegance package on the DeVilles!
Bill, this car has the chrome around the horizontal tail lights, as all 1976's models have! That's the difference between the 1976 and the 1974 and 1975.

Hey Peter! So in short, yes I like to offer all my cars on Bring a Trailer. Just puts them in front of the best audience in my opinion. I have a collection of 30 cars that I am representing for a client and he said, "no reserve" let's sell them. I typically don't do too many consignments because many times the client's expectations on what the car is worth isn't realistic. But no reserve means that the cars will sell. Not to mention it is a 30 car collection. I typically put reserves on my cars for no other reason that to have some protection if they fall really short. Even if they fall a little short I am a win lose or draw kind of guy, so I drop the reserve and sell them. Feel free to ask anything you like! Thanks! Bill
Those wheelcovers aren't correct for a '76 Fleetwood. They were only on the new Seville that year. They appeared the following year on the new, downsized Sedan and Coupe and Fleetwood.
Are you sure the spoked wheel covers weren't an option in '76 because I remember also seeing these on lots of '76 Cadillac sedan/coupe Deville's and Fleetwoods - although I remember seeing some Fleetwoods with regular hubcaps that had the black centers.
@TomSnyder-gx5ru I'm absolutely 100% sure. When I was 11 years old in 1976, the wire wheelcovers ONLY appeared on the Sevilles. In 1977, the wire wheelcovers appeared on the all-new-for-1977 Coupes, Sedans and Fleetwoods. A friend's family had a new, triple brown 1977 Fleetwood which had the wires (They also had a new '76 Honda Accord). That was the first time I saw them on the big cars. It was a few years before the wire wheelcovers started migrating backwards to the pre-1977 cars by envious owners. They were a big deal back then. 1976 was Seville only.
@christianbugatticg I know this to be true in every fiber of my being. I was surrounded by Cadillacs growing up. Not us, but everyone else had them. There's room for all cars in the universe, but any pre-1977 big Cadillac with wire wheelcovers is hiding a secret. 🤣 In 1976, Cadillac wire wheelcovers were for Sevilles only.
