I have the full version on vhs. The premiere video that was supposed to be Soul Asylum, MTV screwed up and played a video called Freedom by a bunch of female rappers.
thanks for this! listened to the podcast episode where henry talks about jerry lee lewis and finally get to see the footage. i love just how akward and stiff this it. you would never see this on TV noadays. everbody is a fucking professional entertainer nowadays....
Henry Rollins became friends of a sort of Jerry Lee. Rollins had been tasked by some magazine of interviewing Jerry one time, and Rollins must have come across to Jerry as so honest, upright and into what Jerry did, so Jerry took a shine to him.
Brian M Brian M That’s correct! I actually read about this in “Do I Come Here Often?” which made me seek out this show in the first place. Would recommend anybody that enjoyed this seeking it out.
@@rossdixon I heard it on the Henry & Heidi podcast, which I also recommend. Rollins appears to be friends with a number of unlikely people. For the last 15 years or so, he has been going to William Shatner's house regularly to watch Monday Night Football.
Just love how he calls henry Hank 👍😊🖖🎼🎵🎶🎸
Jerry Lee Lewis was so damn good.

Hank
Hahahahaha it’s killing me 😂
Love how the most genuine rollins is is when he is just talking to Lewis and when he has to put on the corporate bs he runs through it
This may be the oddest 90s pop culture artefact I’ve ever seen.

@@brianm2881 Hank was good buddies with Hubert Selby, Jr. as well.
@@JMarinelli They did a podcast on that one as well
That was awesome! Lol 😂
Ah, the satirical king of the 90's wearing his humble mask near a legend.
1:27 holy shit, i have NEVER heard anyone refer to Henry Rollins as “Hank”
This reminds me of the time 20 year old Americans could afford a vacation.
Habk and jerry lee are both intimidating scary folks but peter mirphy scared the shite out of me
