Well there is that story where they bathe in Battle Sisters blood, if that aint Khorne worship..... (even when GW tries to have us forget that, i will never forget)
Draigo would have saw through that form and struck Slaanesh down. I am not a fan of the Grey Knights, but I have to admit Draigo would never fall for the Chaos Gods.
I have three ideas of who the Silver Knight could have been, in descending order of seriousness. 1)An Iron Man: Immune to the temptations of Slaanish due to being a robot 2)An Imperial Knight: The pilot could probably turn off external views in the cockpit and rely on the machine spirit to help guide him/her, but hesitated at killing a "child" 3)The lost Space Marine Kah'Ren, who got through the temptations by constantly demanding to speak to their manager, then surrendered when the Manager arrived in all their glory.
@@40KTheories But the lost astartes Kah'Ren is still open as a possibility, right? The Imperial Knight one was more because of the mental image of Slaanesh trying to reach the Knight's shoulders while still staying an androgynous youth.
@@40KTheories You're probably right about Draigo being the Silver Knight referenced, and it's even possible that even after facing Slaanesh, he would appear "pure" if his greatest desire is to fight the forces of Chaos in all their forms in defense of the Imperium. After all, he managed to do what was deemed impossible by mortals and passed through the halls of temptation untempted, it would only make sense that Slaanesh offer him a boon as a reward, and why would Slaanesh care if he defeats their daemons, as pleasure and pain are one and the same to them, he would be rewarding them while fulfilling his own desires. Much like Khorn blessing the orks led by Tuska that attacked the Eye of Terror itself with the glory of eternal battle despite never willingly worshipping him, Slaanesh granting Draigo the boon of his heart's desire means that every time he fights and defeats the forces of Chaos, Slaanesh's power would grow from him doing that which he desired most.
in lore currently, draigo is still able to come into real space and fight along side the grey knights. so he should have no association with any of the gods. as of now, we have nothing stating that it could be him at all.
My theory on the matter is that, since alternate timelines are a thing in Warhammer and in 40k, if it is indeed a Grey Knight corrupted then it would have to be a version of Draigo that failed his task. Failing that, I suspect that the Grey Knight that Abbadon capture was basically dropped into the warp by the Despoiler to break him. Slanessh just happen to be the one to manage the task, and we just haven't seen them fielded yet. Either by Slanessh or by Abbadon.
I always thought of it as less a "fall to temptation" as we literally think of it (offered something too good to refuse) as opposed to even the slightest hint of hesitation is enough to let slaanesh in. Like even the blip of doubt, at all, of any kind, was enough of an opening in the mental armor that a God overwhelmed it.
A Loyalist Alpha Legion successor would be cool. Even cooler and ironic would be if the Alpha legion was unable to infiltrate them and their chapter world.
Pffft. You still going on that theory even after Horus Heresy lore introduced us to Damocles, an Ultramarine veteran with a coil of snake as his own symbol? Not every snakes are Alpha Legion you know.
@@EungsuLee Pffft. Time is irrelevant in the 40k universe. So while no, it's not 100% sure it's Alpha, it's equally not clear if it isn't. So since that's the case, I wouldn't discount anything regarding the Alpha Legion.
I still HIGHLY doubt it was a Grey Knight. Since their armour hurts daemons who even touch it. And the daemonettes actually caress his armour without harm. Neither does he display any of the psychic powers of the Grey Knight. Lastly his sword is his only weapon, lacking even the storm bolter that is standard issue to the Grey Knights.
...I am confused, didn't he mention three? The Iron Knights - Knights of Blood - and Knights of the Raven? I think he focused on the Grey Knights for their unparalleled purity in fighting against the powers of chaos.
Maybe its a custodes who had his armor fouled and turned silver. I mean the emperor did just stick a sword in one and tell him to keep running in one direction.
That Draigo still fights Slanesh minions does not exclude being corrupted by her. Conflicts within the realm of the Warp are common, even amongst followers of the same god. While it is most common among Khorne related beings, this does not mean it is exclusive to him. If the *passion* of someone is to slay demonic minions (of Slanesh or in general), then he can be corrupted by Slanesh on that basis. And who would Slanesh become if she denied someone the *pleasure* of killing her minions? The very concept is anathema to it.
It's not Draigo. Draigo would try to curve stomp Slaanesh. I don't care for the Grey Knights, but I know the lore. It would be a Grey Knight, but not Draigo.
I like the idea that it's Draigo, but I don't necessarily think that means he's fallen into villainy. It's complicated, but there's this character in Doctor Who known as the Valeyard that illustrates my point. So the Doctor finds himself on trial on account of breaking the rules in a way his bosses couldn't ignore, for once, and the prosecutor is a Time Lord known as the Valeyard. Towards the end of the story, it turns out the Valeyard is somehow a future regeneration of the Doctor himself. With him basically being the Doctor's antithesis even more than the Master, this naturally hung over him for a great many years, until they finally did a story about him averting that fate. So, in summary, maybe that's all the Silver Knight is in relation to Draigo. A what if that took on a mind of its own. Doesn't that sound like one hell of a plot thread.
Slaanesh is widely recognized as being feared by the other gods, as everything they embody is in excess, not to mention have domain over the 7 sins and abilities of each of the other gods to include bloodlust, corruption, and most notable....deception, as even the weaker minded think Slaanesh is a Herm when in actuality Slaanesh appears to the viewer as their idea of perfection.
the tale of the silver knight is also in the fantasy side of daemons, but for 40k, when you consider what each circle's temptations are, majority of even normal marines could pass most of these tests. the first circle tempts with wealth. the second circle tempts with food. the 3rd circle tempts with carnal desires. which i can see many chapters passing, due to these meaning nothing to them. the 4th circle is where i can see a marine start to fall, since it tempts with power by gifting them armies for them to command, yet, many chapters can still pass this test, for they choose to "serve" the emperor, as opposed to leading the imperium. the 5th circle tempts with a sense of accomplishment. once again, marines can fall here easily, feeling that they have finally served. those who believe they are not done yet would most likely be the ones to pass. the final circle tempts with bliss. the feeling of not needing any purpose or will. now this circle would most likely be where only those with strong wills, such as chaplains or even captains
My money is he is sadly Nathaniel Garro. He stripped his armor of all Death Guard markings, didn't have the wrist-mounted bolter standard of GK's as he was old school, and famously wielded a sword as his primary weapon. Having his fate being unknown, but that his last endeavors were in fact directly taking the fight to Chaos also makes me feel his fate was a tragic one. It would also be a serious blow to the Imperium to have the very man that saved the Imperium by exposing Horus and the other Traitors (his own Primarch included) and risking everything to inform Dorn was in the end corrupted by Chaos. To have one of the founding members of the GKs, an Astartes of Terra origin, and truly one of their greatest champions of the Heresy-era fall at the final moment to Slaanesh would add some real drama. Especially with a Fulgrim return and presenting him to the GK's on the battlefield. It would probably be the first serious blow to the Order and the Inquisition itself.
Like a certain red Cyclops once said, Chao's isn't just the negative parts, they the good the bad and the ugly. Something even they forget. Korn:god of murder, rage and violence. But he also represents 'survival of the fittest'. Slaneesh: whilst she/he/it is twisted and the god of pleasure, ectacy and pain, it's also the god of happiness. Without pain and suffering there would be something to give life meaning, make moments joyful. That's where Nurgle comes, content and staleness. nothing changing, you could even say he is nature incarnate. On the contrary tzeentch is change, without him there wouldn't be any schemes but also no-one cunning enough to fight them. Change is neither benevolent nor melevolent. (Seriously watch TTS by bruva Alfabusa,it's perfection)
@@sonofjack6286 That's more likely because of the own galaxy's inhabitants, remember that the Daemons (I like to think that Daemons are different than Demons ) are born the moment a new being is birthed, acting as the culmination of the negative emotions? Well, mixing a bit of TTS and normal lore, in TTS is said that the Chaos gods were mostly inert, but that changed with the appearance of Slaneesh, who stirred the other gods into action ( I don't know if this also happened in 40k ). Aeldari have quite possibly the best communication with the Warp with the exception of Daemons, so, if we put even together, all the shit that's happening right now in 40k is happening simply because a few billions of space elfs decided to make a ginormous murderfuck party thousands of years ago, which spawned a new god because of the massive psyche power that was merged there. What is the point I'm trying to make? My point is that Slaneesh is not the weakest god, but quite possibly the strongest, it willed itself into existence and made an entire race go from being a galactic super power to nearly nomadic clans, doing everything they can to survive. It, however, makes itself look fragile, the reason being that it does not fear anything, all the other gods have entire armies patrolling their lands, but not Slaneesh, as It know that it doesn't matter if It's defenses fail, because whoever breached them will soon be a be powerful warrior in It's ranks.

Maybe he went through the circles during his time inside the portal on Morlech. He would have visit Slannesh as a servant or an ally though, not as an ennemy, as he was concluding pacts with the warp in order to create the primarchs.
I would love for GW doing the "Malal/Malice with Heinrich Bors" situation with the Silver Knight. For those who dont know, Heinrich Bors was one of Sorcerers of Tzeentch that made a deal with Malal for him to get free from Tzeentchs grasp (I like to think the Advisor from Warhammer Total War games is actually him). Imaging him having the Mark of Malal/Malice, being absolutely immune to other Chaos Gods (at the cost of being destroyed by the power of Malal's enthropy on his followers, but this is the way of Chaos, baby - you lose some, you win some) and wrecking stuff of other gods even harder than Draigo.
Or for an ass pull, what if the Silver Knight is a clone of Draigo? Surely he must've had some of his blood shed somewhere in the warp.... We all know what that demented little freak Fabius Bile is like.
The thing is Bile doesn’t believe or intentionally ignore the existence of slaanesh and even arguing with daemons why their gods don’t exist. So him doing something like this is out of character since why try to kill someone that doesn’t exist. Though if you ask me, 10000 years prior Bile would’ve also argue why said daemon doesn’t exist either
@@lynnusuk2092 I think he is mainly referring to how Bile does the one thing even the Chaos Gods find repulsive: which is cloning. And you are looking too much into intent on Bile for attacking Slaanesh directly rather than if the Clone had its own consciousness. Succeeding in cloning a marine - especially that of Draigo's caliber - would be a feat in of itself. If the clone was successful, perhaps a bit too successful - it is very possibly that said clone would have left on its own terms.
@@nightdrivenen7909 I mean fabius has cloned the very primarchs himself and has created a whole new race of human hybrids, if anyone could clone old draigo it'd be fabius
The realm map of the warp is some crazy game waiting to happen right there. Who wouldn't like to be a Chaos space marine trying to navigate that hell hole?
They don't usually go there, unless the ruler of a domain WANTS them to, one example is Tuska Daemon-Killa and his boyz, he was brought to Khorne's domain after demonstrating their limitless bloodlust in the Eye of Terror, first against his rivals and then on one of his own planets, Khorne got something to test his generals with and Tuska and his boyz got a good fight that never ends. | 4:27 - Isn't that 3rd one (possibly) loyalist Iron Warriors, rather than Ultrasmurfs? | 5:35 - More so than the Sisters of Battle? | 6:04 - Well, without being a Blank, anyway. | 8:15 - That ought to make him a thorn in his rotten backside.
Okay, time-warped Kaldor Draigo being the Silver Knight is my headcanon now. Though, by that same note, the Silver Knight could be a Grey Knight who has yet to travel into the Warp in terms of linear time passing in the material realm.
i hope its not draigo. iv heard people put that theory forth and i always thought it was a sad and kinda lame ending to such a great character. buuuut, time does work differently in the warp, so i could see it still being him. hopefully not tho.
I’m pretty certain that all Grey Knights blades are inscribed with runes, which makes Drake a very likely case. They also never specified if the knight wore terminator armour. If he was wearing terminator armour, than it could be Draigo, but if not, then Draigo is ruled out, since Draigo wears terminator armour.
Drago is a chaos underling now! I wish to see a custody corrupted by chaos. I have a question if nergul can give life why he cannot give life to a corpse of hive fleet leviathan become a zombie and use it?
Draigo's very, very likely not the silver knight, considering he often phases in and out of the Immaterium to help the Imperium battle chaos before being dragged back to the Immaterium again. Also, Custodes are nigh uncorruptible, even Drachnyen itself admitted defeat when dared to corrupt one.

Hhmm, a fallen Purifier.... What a delicious notion :) I think it highly likely-after all, we know from the Codexes, that Draigo has been tempted by Slaanesh's Daemon servants before, and has not succumbed. If he fell, though, what a monster he would be.

Woke: Slaanesh knows Draigo has a thing for femboys

Draigo would have saw through that form and struck Slaanesh down. I am not a fan of the Grey Knights, but I have to admit Draigo would never fall for the Chaos Gods.
@@cainabel6356 i think if he was going to try and stab the metaphysical and sentient concept of excess it would laugh at him and maybe moan
I have three ideas of who the Silver Knight could have been, in descending order of seriousness.
1)An Iron Man: Immune to the temptations of Slaanish due to being a robot
2)An Imperial Knight: The pilot could probably turn off external views in the cockpit and rely on the machine spirit to help guide him/her, but hesitated at killing a "child"
3)The lost Space Marine Kah'Ren, who got through the temptations by constantly demanding to speak to their manager, then surrendered when the Manager arrived in all their glory.
The Daemons codex outright states that the "Knight" was an Astartes, so is unlikely to be an Imperial Knight walker or a Man of Iron.
It's certainly Kah'Rein
in lore currently, draigo is still able to come into real space and fight along side the grey knights. so he should have no association with any of the gods. as of now, we have nothing stating that it could be him at all.
slaanesh: what powerful and illustrious being dares to traverse my tower of pleasure? *distant maniacal cries of DIGGANOOOOOBZ!!"*

Thx for all of the great content. Happy/ merry Sanguinala.
Great video, Merry Christmas

@@40KTheories They are like Dark Angels who totally claims they have totally no traitors.
I believe a Grey Knight can be corrupted, but not Draico. That guy's lore is solid. It could be a rookie Grey Knight.
the tale of the silver knight is also in the fantasy side of daemons, but for 40k, when you consider what each circle's temptations are, majority of even normal marines could pass most of these tests. the first circle tempts with wealth. the second circle tempts with food. the 3rd circle tempts with carnal desires. which i can see many chapters passing, due to these meaning nothing to them. the 4th circle is where i can see a marine start to fall, since it tempts with power by gifting them armies for them to command, yet, many chapters can still pass this test, for they choose to "serve" the emperor, as opposed to leading the imperium. the 5th circle tempts with a sense of accomplishment. once again, marines can fall here easily, feeling that they have finally served. those who believe they are not done yet would most likely be the ones to pass. the final circle tempts with bliss. the feeling of not needing any purpose or will. now this circle would most likely be where only those with strong wills, such as chaplains or even captains
I do think it’s funny that as hyped up as the Grey Knights are to be anti-daemon, there is still more evidence of them being corrupted then a Custode.

(Seriously watch TTS by bruva Alfabusa,it's perfection)
They do apparently like to embrace their dark sides far more often than their good sides.
@@sonofjack6286 do they even embrace the good side?
