We love you Ladies and Gents. Cheers and Griddle on!!
I've been a Weber guy for decades, but right after I started seeing video's on their Griddle, the Traeger Flat Rock started showing up in videos. Man that's an attractive griddle (the Traeger). Both make my first gen Blackstone look like yesterday's news!!!!
But Traeger blew it on the griddle plate by putting a handle on each side, I've seen plenty of RUclips videos where the food makes it through them and makes a big mess. Especially fried rice, but also everything else. Griddles need a solid fence.
Should be easy to come up with a plate to cover the handle openings...
@@Wvgrizz That's fine but to pay $900 for a griddle? Let them fix it.
Great video, guys! I'd like to try one out, but I'll never give up my 36"Blackstone. I watch another griddle channel that just got one of these. He wasn't very happy with the design and was very unhappy with the first cook. He seasoned it a few more times and loves the way it cooks now.
First cook coming up soon...I'm thinking some steaks and pork chops. Stay tuned! - C
@@TheGriddleGuys heck yeah
I bought the 28" Weber griddle from Ace Hardware because they assembled it and delivered it at no extra charge. The heat distribution on the Weber is excellent! No shifting around the food because of hot spots. Makes it easy for a newbie like me to cook without burning food.
I'm a 100% Blackstone guy on griddles right now. And a 100% Weber guy on grills. Looking forward to some cooks/performance reviews on this unit guys.
Weber needed to get in the game!
Looking forward to their future products.
The bar is about to be raised fellas.
I have had a Weber Kettle last for 15 years, and my Genesis gas grill lasted in the seaside salt air for 18 years. Love my Weber’
They do make solid products for sure! Looking forward to cooks on this bad boy for sure! Cheers! - C
So glad you guys got a Weber, I've been patiently waiting! Looking forward to seeing a few cooks on it and see what you guys think for long term quality.
Hey Chris Jeff Nate ya know I got a Weber 26 year’s ago and only put in one burner and 3 or 4 flavor bars super Grill love it and still cooking great food… love you guys ❤️🙏🏻👍✌️💪🏻
That is awesome Skippy! They make a great products for sure! - C
Is there a natural gas version? I have a natural gas hookup but there aren't many options out there for griddles.
There are the two sizes of the Weber griddle, and both are equipped from the factory for propane. I will be converting my 28" to natural gas because I also have the hookup and I have zero need to lug around gas tanks.
Thanks guys! I'm excited about this griddle. I am brand loyal, I absolutely love my two Weber kettles and my smokies mountain. One of those would work perfectly between my grills and smoker. Work it hard and give an honest review.
Right on and will do! Cheers! - C
What ? No Nate ? Thank goodness Jeff is still here…..lol ! Nice review Gents ! Cheers !
Very funny Daddy Dutch! Don't quit your day job! LOL Hope all is well bud! - C
@@TheGriddleGuys Chris….I figured you’d get a kick out of that ! Hope all is well guys !
Nice looking griddle fellas! I’m sure you’ll enjoy the Weber. Hopefully you guys have a nice weekend and Nate recovers quickly!. Cheers 🍻
Thanks! You too! Nate already doing much better! Thanks! - C
Looking forward to a good review. Grill on men!
More to come! Thanks Mike! -C
Did Chris call it a “Webba”
He's from Boston can't cha tell
😂
Yeah it a friggin webba!! Cheers! - C
Great video, I'm hearing and seeing that this griddle has great temperature control and heat distribution.
Looking forward to that! Thanks Brad! - C
That is a Shop looking Webah!
Jeff lost weight he looks good 👍
I like the new intro. Flashy and informative.
Glad you like it...Thanks to our main man Zonel! He rocks! - C
Hey TGG’s, nice little video! That would have been great to see a ‘build off’…just sayin’ Chris, I think Jeff would have taken you! Keep up the great work. Tough to give up on my Blackstone 36” as, I too am a loyalist in that regard! Be safe! And hope Nate get’s better soon!
-Jay V.
Exactly why we didn't race Jay! I'm no fool! LOL Nates already on the mend. Thanks buddy! - C
I saw that on another video. Pretty nice little units.
Agreed! Cheers Howard! - C
I've always liked Webber also, but a friend has a Traeger Flat Rock griddle... it is built like a tank !
And makes a big mess because of the handles Traeger put on the griddle plate. I won't buy it.
@Brad Helfrich - should be easy to come up with a plate to cover those openings... wouldn't be surprised if Traeger comes up with one...
@@Wvgrizz I'm looking for heat distribution, heat control, and even cooking. Watch the Flat Top King he goes head on the Traeger & Weber. Weber turned out the best performance.
@Brad Helfrich - I did watch Flat Top King and my take was he liked the traeger better, except for the holes in the handles...
@@Wvgrizz Watch when he cooks the big breakfast on it. I've personally talked to him about it also. It's Weber and then the Traeger. But he doesn't like how the Weber looks but that isn't going to get your food cooked efficiently. Performance out weights looks.
2 wheels is weber style. Glad that they provided this for y'all. I'm sure it's a great unit.
From what I've seen so far, I suspect you will enjoy how it performs👍😊
I hope you are right! I look forward to cook on this bad boy! Cheers Bobbi! - C
I hope they send my free Weber soon!
Niiice
My Blackstone was my first non-Weber product.
Nothing but positive experiences from Weber, other than the initial sticker shock. But after 10+ years of flawless use that goes away.
So poor Nate tore his bicep trying to carry the whole load? Haha feel better
LOL He's already doing much better! Cheers! - C
I'm the grill specialist at a large Ace Hardware. Just a few days ago we received and I assembled the new Weber 28" griddle. I assemble just about all the grills we sell in our store, and currently we have about 70 different grills, smokers, and cookers on the floor. Frankly, I was not very impressed by the Weber griddle. As I was assembling it I was thinking that this is too much like a Weber gas grill with a flat top...except it uses thinner sheet metal and is not a s sturdy as even the Weber Spirit line of gas grills. So, as I was putting it together I was thinking it might be a deal if it was half the price of a Blackstone. Then I scanned the bar code and saw that the Weber 28" griddle retails for $90 more than the 28" Blackstone. There is no comparison of the build quality. It's almost as if the Weber design team studied the Blackstone, but instead of trying to make it better, they tried to make it cheaper.
hmm ill have to look into that one.
Congratulations guys! I don’t know if I could trust you anymore though cause you’re doing commercials lol
LOL Could you imagine us in a commercial? Now that would be entertainment! LOL Cheers! - C
Trader 😢
Nah....We love flat tops! So far Blackstone, Camp Chef and now Weber. There will be more too! - Cheers! - C
I like to see how you guys feel of the camp chef FTg600gGL.
