I see videos of Ellis island from the 1920’s and it’s full of people streaming in. We should build more and more processing power to get people in here and on a path to citizenship the right way. To say we can’t is a lie we did it before and without computers. If you have the guts to abandon what you know, to take the dangerous journey and risk to bet on yourself here in America I want you here. I usually have about a 10-12 minute RUclips threshold to keep my interest. I must say, I started watching and couldn't stop. She spits facts non-stop for 28 minutes straight. No redundancy...just continued truth back to back to back. Excellent video...I just worry that the ones who need to see it most will never even click on it because they are not open-minded. Lastly, her iceberg analogy was perfect.

That the latter point is actually true doesn't change the fact that they way she got to it is bonkers. Remittances don't say anything about govt roles, govt certainly plays a much larger role in employment in the US than in Latin America.
She's ironically making the opposite of the point she thought she was, and that is putting aside that the next thing she says is all you need is rule of law, which typically requires a govt.

I was a philosophy major. Since graduating 23 years ago, I’ve seen philosophy and humanities programs slashed and eliminated from universities across the United States. This woman succinctly explains why we must study philosophy.

I just fell in love for all of the right reasons. What an exemplary woman, human, intellectual fireball.
One of the most inspiring people I know is a Guatemalan man who departed his country to find opportunity in the U.S. He left home with little more than the clothes on his back. He was beaten and left for dead by Mexican robbers, but even that failed to stop him. Arriving Stateside, he worked multiple odd jobs, finally saving enough to start his own small business which is now so successful. This humble and kind gentleman is much respected in our community. His good nature, hard work, and determination are blessing everyone who knows him!
