As someone who’s had iPhones since the 3GS, I can’t express just how much iPhone has fallen off when it comes to texting. Texting on iPhone used to be a flawless (dare I say and enjoyable) experience to the point that they made you wonder why you even needed a Blackberry with a physical keyboard. Nowadays, not a single moment goes by where I don’t fight with my keyboard to type what I want it to, accurately. It’s downright frustrating and no amount of tip videos can fix the reality that the iOS keyboard is terrible.
Seriously, getting the curser to the correct space to be able to delete has been so frustrating. That tip to be able to move it ANYWHERE in the text makes me so happy!! 🌟🌟

Another tip, you can select words after typing just by holding spacebar with one finger and then press the spacebar with another finger and move around! Also, holding spacebar and delete key at the same time, u will get suggestions on a tooltip! Btw, videos are awesome guys!!
One important thing I learned about using the text replacement to enter my email is that many forms won’t accept that email unless I backspace to erase the auto-inserted space after it. Just sharing to save someone else the frustration of trying to figure out what is going on. :)

After using the Swifkey keyboard from Microsoft for so long it’s hard to like the Apple one. For example; I used to love having a numbers row and having keys with symbols on top. It was really easy and useful to get things done faster. Also the amount of choices in themes was awesome. Since I’m new to iPhone, can you please suggest a keyboard like the one I’ve described? I tried downloading the Swiftkey keyboard from the App Store but it doesn’t have the same themes, functions, or settings. Anyway, it’s not the same. I can use some serious help when it comes to keyboard. If there was something I loved about Android was the fact I could customize my phone anyway I wanted. I do miss that. I do like the Apple 14 pro max but the transition hasn’t been easy after using Android since it hit the shelves. Thank you guys for all the tips that you have provided me with. 3:58. Swipe typing works on iPhone, but not iPad…. Unless you squish the iPad keyboard to the mini size. But then it’s difficult to use. APPLE: ENABLE SWIPE TYPING ON THE iPad please!!
I seem to have the worst experience with moving the cursor and highlighting text in when I’m typing RUclips comments. As a stubborn person, I *will* keep tapping until it works!
How can I get the stock keyboard to learn words? No matter what I do, it just WILL NOT learn the words in the predictive text field! It's so frustrating. Am I missing something? I'm running on iOS 17 and thought they'd upgraded the keyboard!

Hi, I’m fed up of having to type my email address into web forms. I have created a substitute in settings>keyboard but it doesn’t work most of the time. Inserting my address into notepad or an email or any other app seems to work but in a web page form rarely works. Anyone know a way? Cheers.
Can we start getting the "view chapters" botton, please? It would make so much easier to rewatch a video when you're looking for smth specifically or just to watch it for first time if you want to go back to smth

I just want to turn my phone sideways and type. It's perfect. Minus that ridiculous swirl on the bottom right, I don't know what the "feature" is called, but it sits under the backspace. And it opens up a new screen that you can draw on for words. It's terrible and annoying. Does anyone know what this is called, and how to disable that option in landscape mode? The stock keyboard works perfectly minus that single thing. Typing in portrait mode is not for me.
If I’m dictating and I stop, and then resume again, the phone capitalizes the first word. I have to go back and change it back to lowercase. Does anyone know how to stop this from automatically happening?
Not having a period or numbers on the main keyboard is the single biggest reason I haven't switched to iPhone. Dumbfounded how bad iPhone is compared to standard Android keyboard.
Are you sure? I went on Apple support because my predictions were off, and they said; when I factory reset my phone the data was lost because it’s saved on the device and not the cloud..

Android is SO FAR ahead of Apple at this point in regards to swipe typing, and predictive algorithms. I switched back to an iPhone for my personal phone because I get a new Android for work every year- and for the most part the 14 pro Max is fine, but the keyboards are terrible. The Gboard is watered down on the iPhone, and even its swipe typing is awful. I use dictation 95% of the time when I need to input text on an iPhone. Why Apple no longer feels the need to innovate is beyond me, and frustrating.

I am also a new Iphoner and it is like I have just like accepted the IPhone keyboard. I also don’t want to get the gboard. Learning as I go along.

@@J.Tronix it works for me. I usually add/change delete them on my mac and the changes show up on my iPhone. They also transferred to my new iphone.
