From a time long ago when Rock as an art form was just emerging - this performance shows a softer deeper side of composition by some of the icons of the age. We are so lucky to have it captured for all time on video.

Steve's organ doesn't have big chips missing out of it these days. In fact, the relection on his piano was so clear the last time I saw him, that when he was playing his stratocaster, it looked like a photgraph on top of the piano, from my seat.

If I had a Time Machine, I would surf the quantum waves and land at the great concerts and musical moments of the mid to late 60's thru early 80's. Hyde Park would be one of those places I would live for a while until I got back into my machine and returned to the quantum waves and the next show. Maybe Woodstock.

Truth be told he wasn't happy because he hadn't wanted Ginger Baker in the band -he kind of forced himself in. E.C. was trying to distance himself from Cream and here he's onstage with two-thirds of it !!!

I think the words here may be based on the story of Jonah in the Old Testament. jonah was righteous but refused the Lords order to preach to ninevah and fled by ship to tarshish. God raised storm, and jonah wanting to die told the sailors to cast him into the sea, and the sailors cast him into the sea. after 3 days in the belly of a great fish, Jonah asked god for forgiveness so God released him and sent himto Ninevah to preach as ordered before. but jonah was miserable still...until he found shade under a plant, but god killed the plant...

@@lastnamefirst4035 not at all. It was an object lesson for the prophet. Jonah wanted the ninevites to not repent and be spared, so God arranged the whole plant scenario to demonstrate where he should really bestow the compassion he felt for the plant.
