The Championship Points (commonly referred to as CP, I know they need to change the name lol.) are gained by competing in League Challenges, Cups, Pokemon Regional, and Internationals, The players with the top 125 (in North America at least) point totals* are invited to the World Championships, which is invite only unlike the other events I previously listed. *This total is calculated using only your top 4 placings at each level, so even if you attended every single event possible, only your 4 best Challenge, Cup, Regional and International placings will be used to determine your rank in regards to worlds invite, furthermore the top players (I am unsure what the threshold is, I would guess around top 10) within a region qualify for Stipend, which is a cash(?) award given to help aid these players for things such as travel cost and any other fees for attending events. (I am unsure if it is cash or perhaps a gift card, or voucher for free hotel, product, etc.)
