I saw them Long Beach California 1974 and Everett Washington 1994 . Never forget. So good!
I worked with Kim in the 80s - his "hobby" was guitar too.
And that interview is exactly what Kim was like. Just a really good guy.
R.I.P. KIM SIMMONDS--SAW SAVOY BROWN 1976 GOLDEN WEST BALLROOM SO. CA. GREAT SHOW KIM WAS ON FIRE! I REMEMBER HOW HARD THEY WORKED TO PLEASE THE FANS THERE! GREAT SHOW
Glad this rolled in!
I saw Kim and Savoy 4 times- '74, 75, 1989, and the last Savoy show for me was 2019. I was born on Kim's birthday, December 5th!! I started following Savoy Brown 50 years ago, in 1973 ! 1😂6:59
RIP Andrew Ramirez
My hero.. miss you dad
Andy was a great guy and an awesome bass player!!
My respectful sympatjies!!! Yes, he was a wondeful bass player!! Any discography??
Some of his best work was on an album with Greg Howe named “Parallax”
@@ANDR3W_585 Yes, that was the 1st time I heard his playing, and I was stopped in my tracks: I had to sit, close my eyes, and really LISTENED, and felt, the whole album. Other discography? Videos? Photos?
This is the way I will remember Kim my dear friend and True Bluesman forever and a day.
The guy never hit a less than perfect note on his guitar.
Absolutely fantastic . RIP my friend !
Savoy Brown, one of my favorites back in the day. Fell off my radar for a good while. Picked them back up about 7 years ago. Definitely my most listened to now. So sad Kim checked out. I was looking forward to him rocking me for a while yet. All that, gone. Poor us. RIP Kim.
Have a few good Savoy Brown albums from the day they kick ass totally 🤟🎸🍺🍻✌️♥️
became a local upstate boy!
Raw Sienna has that mixture of great playing and great songs, Kim obviously agreed too, Hard way to Go, Needle and Spoon, I'm Crying, and Chris Youlden's autobiographical When I was a Young Boy are just a few
🎵🎶🎵 Hell Bound Train 🎶🎵🎶
I met Kim in the Detroit area after a Savoy Brown show at the Magic Bag. What a thrill!
..great rhythm section.
I saw them at The Fillmore East and several times since . RIP Kim .
Oh yeah 🎶🎵 Thanks for posting this. Anything Savoy Brown gets my vote!! God bless and keep Kim Simmonds 🙏🎵🎶🎸☕❗👀
This line up is smokin' !
Thanks for posting this ... I got into Savoy Brown as a teen after Street Corner Talking and Lions Share... just learning about the older stuff now... also great... even a horn section on some tracks... RAW SIENNA is an absolute classic. Check it out people. To Kim Simmonds ( RIP ) and the other guys too... excellent job guys !! Great legacy !!
Was fortunate enough to be able to see Kim and Savoy Brown perform a number of times over the years, including this "Let It Ride" tour. Absolutely great. This video is terrific. Thank you for posting. He is missed every day.
❤👍✌👍❤
Gracias por compartir 👍 saludos desde Ecatepec México...ojalá compartas el súper album stret corner talki g😊
guitar hero
Thanks for this.. been looking for the bass player since I first hear him play with Greg Howe on the Parallax album.
That guitar has such a cool thin neck
Fortunate to see them 3 times in 70's. Must say the Strat doesn't sound half as good as his Les Paul. Doesn't come close to his signature sound 😐
Chicken shack better
It is not
Andy Sylvester, Dave Bidwell, Paul Raymond, and even good Ole Stan Webb played in Savoy Brown at certain times ! liked when they did because they really helped Kim at the time, especially Paul Raymond!
