One of my absolute favs...I used to spend 100's and 100's of hours playing my 1964 Jazzmaster with wa wa fuzz box phase shifter and Savoy Brown was great. The amazing thing about Kim is I think he is peaking out in his 70's. I know of no other guitar player like that.
Best rhythm section in the business, and Kim Simmonds has always been the driving heart of Savoy Brown's sound! Great stuff - been enjoying SB since the 60s! (Plus, nothing beats a live band!)
That is the last album for the 3 founding FOGHAT members. An excellent album indeed. Because of Lonesome Dave's voice Looking IN and the first FOGHAT have some real similarities. They even do a song from Looking In on the first FH album Leavin Again Again

I think we are hearing "bleed" from the backline amps and drums rather than the front of house PA where, I assume, the sound is bang on and the vocals are featured.

For talent, longevity, and originality, nobody tops these guys in the blues genre. I don't know what drives Simmonds, but I wish I had some of it.
What drives Kim drives all of us players , deadwood & wires , amps ,blues & rock n roll.
