Did this video describe my driver development to a tee...pun intended...I struggle with a low tee for a long time and every time I tried to increase the height I would pop it up so it scared me. My old coach told me to keep grinding at it and eventually it did change may path and up angle. This is a good one and I hope people get a lot out of it. Good content as usual.

Thank you for sharing this! Nothing is really ever easy in reality. On paper maybe but we have to work to improve anything. I appreciate you watching. T.J.

Ok. I watched this video 40 minutes ago and just came back on to share. Went to my sim and teed the ball up super high. I normally tee it what I thought was mid but realize it it low. Hit a wiffle ball off the tee as I was afraid of hitting my roof with a sky ball and holy cow. After a bunch of swings my up swing changed by 8 degrees and path moved about 6 degrees. I didn't think about doing much differently JUST NOT HIT THE ROOF. Eye opening for sure. This could be a game changer for me. Thank you

I have always struggled with high spin rates due to hitting low on the face. I am going to do that drill you suggested to see if I can change this. TY Ted

Thanks for sharing. That is a great application of the drill. It’s amazing what small changes can do. T.J.

I have a “tattoo” on the top of my driver caused by hitting a ball high on the face. It looks like a partial imprint of a golf ball. I keep this to remind me to swing on an upward path and avoid a “wedge shot” with my driver. Lessons learned!

What if I tee it likely too low and still hit the top of the face, sky the ball with way too much spin? What am I doing wrong? My swing speed is around 104, but I only slice a drive barely and if 200 yards.

I'm a 15hcp with long but low drives. Changed loft and shaft with no improvement. Kept moving ball and tee height up further and further...still no height improvement. Moved the ball accidentally back and tee down...to std 3W position...and drives gained height by approx 30ft. Ball stays in the air like it should. Ideas why?

Thanks for sharing. Without seeing your swing and impact data tough to pinpoint but here are my thoughts of potentials. 1) your ball was too far forward to begin with relative to your dynamics and swing circle. This would cause you to hit it low on the face launching it low but your spin loft was small enough where you didn’t experience too high spin rate. Since you move it “back” it is now geometrically in a better position relative to your swing circle and you are striking it higher on the face producing a higher launch. 2) your body is reacting to the ball being further “back” than you are used too and you are instinctively adding loft creating a higher launch. 3) you are simply striking it lower on the face due to a more negative angle of attack now creating higher spin rates which will create more “lift” and a higher apex point. But potentially losing net yardage. 4) other factors. Just an educated guess. Thanks for watching and sharing. I appreciate it! T.J.
