This really helped me today when I was practicing. On occasion I feel I get trapped on my back leg. The thought of keeping the knee inside my back foot really made sense and stabilized my entire back side. Keep up the great content. Michael.
excellent explanation for someone that struggles with the set up piece. For what it is worth I get a ton out of the avatars. I am sure others do as well. If I could hit the like button 100 times I would for the TWO Seinfeld references hahahah. W.
I appreciate the kind words. I do like using the avatars because not everyone wants to be on camera and it still gives me a change to do a little show and tell with their swings and the data it brings. Haha yes with the Seinfeld references. When I was editing I realized I looked a bit like Elaine dancing just to tie in the later reference. Ha. Thanks for watching! T.J.
Set up is the start of the swing sequence. Balance is the start of the set-up. Good to understand. I would bet most would rather PLAY because PRACTICE is the WORK one puts into their game.
Excellent information, this was my issue when I started two seasons ago, talk about taking yourself off balance and out of sync. The stringed clothing or the rope around the neck, great idea!
Thanks! I wear a lot of hoodie like tops especially in the winter (even teaching inside but definitely outside) I started using the strings as a guide years ago and just turned it into a good visual for students. I always have a rope around when needed! Thanks again for adding to the conversation! T.J.
I am going to be brining a lot more of these real lessons the videos. Since it was his first lesson I didn’t want to subject him to being on camera but the avatars are great for that. Thanks for commenting and watching! T.J.
Early in the season, I like to practice on the course by going out later in the afternoon and hitting multiple shots off the tee or on approach to or around the green. I don’t have the energy or desire to go to the range and hit buckets of balls anymore. A little later in the year, I prefer to play with guys from my regular group.
Getting out on the course late in the day to practice is absolutely some of the best practice time you can put in. The ability to practice shots that you just can’t on most practice ranges is extremely valuable. I suggest it whenever someone can. I do it on the course early in the morning prior to lessons (when the weather is good!). Thanks for watching and commenting I greatly appreciate it! T.J.
Tough question. Enjoy both but would say if I had to decide between practice and just playing prob practice but if it was between practice and competing it would be playing competitively. I like these sports box 3d videos you do.
I personally enjoy the grind of practice. I also would rather practice over just going out and playing BUT completely with you on the competitive piece. All day long give me something to play for. T.J.
Question of the day! Would you rather PRACTICE or PLAY...comment below and let me know. Thanks for watching! T.J.
Depends how I am playing. If playing well then want to play more. If I am sucking then practice. Enjoy both

Thank you I very much appreciate it! I am glad it helped you out. T.J.
great video this is all me all day
Thank you for the kind words. Let me know if it helps. Thank you for commenting and watching. I greatly appreciate it. T.J.
It is amazing how important the setup is. Thanks TJ.

Enjoy it when you use real life situations. Did the student not want to be on camera? That rope drill makes a lot of sense.

I might be odd but I really enjoy practicing. Possibly better than playing. I am a tinkerer by nature and it scratches that itch.
That’s awesome! There is no better feeling than working on your game and seeing improvements! Thanks for sharing! T.J.

His setup appears much wider as well.
You are correct. He actually increased his width by .5 inches overall. Great pick up! T.J.
